Stepping inside the little the little Café Jacksen felt the chill in the air nipping at heels the heat being pumped from the vents playing a game of tug of war to keep the cold air from coming in more than it had, Jacksen let his eye lids flutter close as the last traces of the chilly air were shut out of the room as the door finally shut behind him; the sound of the bell over his head no longer ringing out as the door slid closed. Jacks hands reluctantly emerged from their warm haven, his coat pockets, and he pressed his palms to his flushed face before rubbing their warmth against his still chilled features; his rosy nose and cheeks were the main focus. He pushed his hands back from his face and over the sides of his slicked back raven hair, his eyes fluttering open once again in attempt to adjust to the florescent lights in the room. He lifted one foot and set it down in front of him before doing so with the other and proceeding into the room, but he didn’t make it very far because his feet came to rest next to a coat rack. As he’d been walking his fingers were fumbling around with unfastening the buttons on his jacket before they got to the zipper underneath and were able to tug the warm jacket from his slender frame, he hung it up on one of the unused hooks while his warm brown eyes scanned the café to see who was currently there. He wasn’t able to spy a familiar face though did all look friendly and he was sure if he slid into the chair across from them they’d be able to get along like old friends.
Before making his way up to the counter to order something, though his eyes did scan the list and were able to pick out some things on it, he headed towards the bathroom. As he pushed open the door he thought he could make out the faint sound of the bell that hung over the door, but as the door swung shut behind there was no way to be sure. Jacks reemerged from the bathroom after a while his eyes downcast focused on his watch as he readjusted the metal strap, suddenly feeling the chill from it against his now warm skin. His eyebrows were pulled together and caused a crease in his forehead as he stared at the metal object with such concentration as he tricked to latch it closed he wasn’t aware of the other person that was headed towards the same path he was, instead of continuing on his way he felt a slight shove that knocked him off course. He’d gotten it at the last second but his expression didn’t change because he was now confused about having run into something or rather someone, though at this point he wasn’t sure; a wall couldn’t been what had jumped into his path. His head slowly turned to the side and his chocolate eyes fell on a raven haired beauty, ”I’m sorry I wasn’t paying attention to where I was walking…” As Jacks spoke his head dipped slightly to the side as he looked over the women in front of him, there was something familiar about her and as he was allowed more time to look at her he was sure they’d met before.
”Have we met before? There’s something familiar about you.” Jacks did believe you could feel an instant connection to a person but that wasn’t this type of situation, it just seemed like they had met before. Crossing his arms over his chest he just kept staring at her with the bewildered look on his face, it was rude and he quickly realized he was and shut his eyes before letting them flutter open and turned his head in the direction of the tables and the other people before once again looking at her. This time his face free of confusion and the corners of his mouth slowly curved upwards towards the corners of his eyes, his lips parting to show a broad white smile. ”Sorry for staring I just swear I know you.”

" Why do I have to go get coffee man, its cold as balls out there?!" Delilah protested throwing a wrench into her toolbox and puffing some hair out of her face. " I'm going to chiv you like we're in prison when I come back, so don't drop the soap..." She said with a slightly crooked smile, before saying " Sexist pig." and walking towards the break room to get her leather Jacket. If there had been two things that she had learned since leaving her old life and becoming a mechanic, in a shop with a bunch of horny men it had been, one: never wear a short skirt to work and two: learn to joke like one of the guys. Her first month on the job she had gotten quickly offended at how they would talk to her, and almost quit a few times because of the sexist comments that they made. But now she could joke like the best of them, and let it roll off her back. If one of them grabbed her ass, she'd would simply grab their junk and be like, yeah yours is nice too or something along those lines, it was all in good humor and it made coming to work six days a week more enjoyable, especially since she technically didn't even really have to work at all. Delilah found, that once she put down the bottle and picked up her brain, that she enjoyed being more ambitious and doing things a lot more than she had thought she would. She loved working with her hands, and working on cars to be more exact. She couldn't even put into words how her feeling of self worth increased when she took a car that could barely run anymore and fixed it. If you had told her a year ago that she would be doing this and enjoying it as much as she did, she would have laughed and possibly spit in your face for even suggesting that she'd mess up her hundred dollar manicure. But a year ago, she wasn't this amazing person. A year ago she had been a prissy spoiled Irish Mob princess who could barely fix a meal let alone fix a car. She had been so used to having things done for her, that her only real care in the world had been where she was going to get a drink, and who she was going to be hooking up with. Now though, things had changed, she worried more how she was going to rebuild the engine block that she was working on. "Hey Lilah, can you bring back some Danish too? one of her coworkers yelled after her as she walked out the front door to the garage. " I'm gonna bring back the Danish and eat it right in front of you just out of spite for you calling me Lilah." She liked the name Lilah, don't get her wrong it was pretty and all that, but it made her feel so girly, and she didn't feel like a girl most of the time anymore. She guessed it had something to do with the fact that if you get treated like one of the guys for long enough, you start to consider yourself one of the guys eventually. Lilah walked into the coffee shop, her eyes watering and her cheeks and nose rosy pink from the wind whipping against the exposed parts of her face. She welcomed the warmth of the shop, not wanting to have to leave as quickly as she knew she would have to. She looked at the line, realizing that it was extremely long, and that she had time to go to the bathroom, so she hung her coat up on the rack and walked back to the bathroom and did her business and when she was done she washed her hands. She looked at herself in the mirror noticing that she was covered in grease, nothing out of the normal. She even had some on her cheek. Her ripped jeans were covered in black spots covering them. She was sure that if her Steelers shirt wasn't black that it would be covered too. She smelled her shirt and noticed that it smelled like gas probably due to the fact that she had been replacing a fuel tank in the car that she was working on before she came here. Normally when she was at work she wouldn't take notice to these things, but now that she was "out of the office" it was stronger than ever. As she stood at the sink in front of the mirror she noticed that one of her favorite songs came on over the speakers in the bathroom. She smiled as she tapped her i heart nerds converse as she took her hair out of the ponytail that it had been in. " Are you gonna take me home tonight, are you gonna let it all hang out," she sang along to the music overhead. reaching into her pocket as she exited the bathroom to take out her phone. She looked at the message she just got as she sung the rest " fat bottom girls you make the world go round .." She probably should have been paying attention to where she was going, because as she was coming out the bathroom she walked right into someone else who must have been coming out of the men's room. " Oh don't worry about it... I wasn't paying attention either...shouldn't text and walk I guess." She said with a little laugh, running her fingers through her hair, she flashed the handsome boy that she had just completely walked into a smile and waited for him to move since he was blocking the way of getting back to the main part of the coffee shop. But he just stood there and stared at her, making her feel a little insecure, she shoved her hands in her pockets, and looked back at him. When he said that she looked familiar she studied her face trying to remember him. He looked a little familiar as well. But she couldn't remember him at all. " Maybe, I'm not sure though but for introduction sake, I'm Delilah O'Donnell ."

Jacksen’s chocolate brown eyes dropped from her face and fell on the device in her hands; the soft smile that had taken over his features remained and was accompanied by a soft chuckle that made his body shake slightly. His head swiveled back and forth as his eyes returned to the women’s face, ”apparently those things aren’t just the leading cause of accidents on the road.” The corners of his mouth spread out even further, the soft chuckle still slipping out on occasion; his attempt at humor wasn’t the best, but if there was the chance they’d hang around each other longer than he’d work in better material.
His hand rose up from his side took hold of hers so he could raise it up near his lips and brush his lips against the top of her hand, ”pleasure to meet you Miss O’Donnell…I still can’t shake this feeling though.” Stilling holding her hand in his, his chocolate eyes were darting back and forth as they studied her face as he was trying to recall where he’d seen this enchanting women; for some reason he kept finding himself surrounded in darkness with flashing lights all around, the clinking of glasses, bodies pressed against each other, laughter, but none of it was clear in his head at the moment it was all hazy and fuzzy. Like recalling a dream that you’d just had but only getting fragments of what had just gone on in your head. Gently shaking his head he snapped out of his thoughts, trying to rid the tickle that was in the back of his throat as he felt it starting to dry up; his chocolate eyes darted out to the café, maybe he could get her to join him for lunch. His eyes flitted back to the dark haired brunette still in front of him, realizing he still had her hand in his. Jack’s let her his slide from under hers before his other hand rose form his side to clasp together with his other hand. ”I’m Jacksen McCallister…uhh would you maybe care to join me for lunch?” His hands fell apart and he shuffled his feet back a step or two as he finally left space for her to walk past him, his arm extended out towards her and waiting to see if she’d take his invitation.
For the first time his eyes drifted lower than her face, not to judge her or to be like the many men who had probably defiled her with their eyes alone, but he’d caught sight of a dark spot out of the corner of his eyes. His eyes narrowed as they became fixed on the spot, his tongue darted out of his mouth and ran over his lower lip as his hand moved closer to the dark spot on her shirt; upon a quick examination he saw they were everywhere. He extended his index finger out towards it but didn’t dare touch it or he’d do a one eighty and go back into the bathroom to scrub his hands of whatever it was. ”Uhh…Miss O’Donnell…what is that exactly? Did you get in a fight with your car or something?” Jack’s dark brown eyes darted back up to her bright blue ones and he blanched at how stuck up he’d just sounded, he sighed heavily before running his hand over his hair. It wasn’t that he looked down on people for not coming from money like he did, Jacksen just liked to always look good and tidy and he tried to avoid those situations where he’d ruin his clothes. His father had always said, ”Dress for success and to impress.” As the words ran through his head his eyes widened before his head tilted down until his chin was almost touching his chest as his eyes swept over his clothes in panic. Jack’s shut his eyes as one of his hands fell heavily on his chest a heavy sigh escaped his lips, being followed by a shaky laugh as his eyes sprang open to once again look at the raven haired brunette. The corners of his mouth rising up once again, but stretching out as far as they could leaving a lopsided smile on his face. ”Scared myself for a second there…and I’m sorry if I sounded pretentious, I just guess it startled me and had it been on me well you’d probably be laughing all the way to the bank as I went running into the bathroom because a speck of…well that…” Jack’s motioned once again to the black mess on her shirt, he had an idea of what it was but he wasn’t sure. ”…much like a girl.”

Delilah couldn't help but laugh like an idiot had his comment. She didn't know why but he had tickled her funny bone, and it had possibly been the funniest thing she had heard all day. Normally when people tried to be humorous with her she had to stop for a second to figure out what the hell they had been talking about, but she had picked up on what he was trying to say without very little thought put into it. " Not only the leading cause of accidents on the road," She said, with a slight chuckle as her mouth opened into a bright pearly white smile. " That's a good one!" She exclaimed, still unsure why she found it so funny, but still thoroughly amused by it all the same. She tried to compose herself, but as soon as she had stopped herself from laughing, she had immediately thought of it again and started laughing all over again. She probably looked like an idiot, because what he said wasn't even really that funny outside of the context of what had just happened, but she really didn't care if he thought she was an idiot or not. She had very little care for what people thought of her now-a-days... After she had composed herself enough to introduce herself, had had responded with taking her hand, and kissing it as he introduced himself. She had to admit that she was slightly taken by surprise by his actions. She was used to having her hand kissed in introduction in more formal situations, but never in ones like this; such an informal setting. Sure it was a pleasant surprise, but she wasn't sure how she felt about it other than that. " I must have one of those faces, or maybe your experiencing déjà vu." She said, shrugging her shoulders slightly, unable and unwilling to go more in-depth on the subject. She had a feeling as to how they probably knew each other, but she wasn't going to go into details about it, there was no point. She would only have to explain things to him, tell her that her name wasn't what she said it was, and she really didn't feel like having to relive her past experiences with someone she barely knew, or at all really. There was no point. She watched him, as he kept a firm hold on her hand, long after introductions had been made. She looked around awkwardly not wanting to be rude, but also part of her liked the attention that she was getting from this new man. Even though Camilla Isabella De Luca was long dead and buried, her ghost loved to sneak up and haunt Delilah from time to time, and male attention was something that frequently was a problem for her. She loved men, don't get me wrong, but she was nowhere near as boy crazy as she used to be. She had her needs, and she fulfilled them when she needed to, but she wouldn't sleep with strange man after strange man on a nightly basis anymore. But the attention from this beautiful man standing in front of her was almost too much to bare. His brown chocolate eyes, her favorite color eyes drew her in like a sirens song, and she could stand there staring at them for hours without complaint. " Pleasure to meet you, Jacksen..." She said, with a half smile, He had invited her to lunch. Part of her, the Camille part of her was screaming to accept it, but level headed Delilah who also wanted to accept knew that she was suppose to be getting coffee for work, and needed to get back. She mauled it over in her bead, but before she could give him a straight answer she noticed his eyes looking all over her. At first she thought he was checking her out, and honestly she wouldn't have complained much. But then he asked what was on her cloths and followed with a humorous question afterwards. The fact that she didn't know him, peppered with fact that she it sounded like he was judging her sent her temper rising. She took a deep breath to try and compose herself and not smack him right across the face... " I'm a mechanic ..." She said, in a tone that said she wasn't flattered with him at all anymore. She was about to walk around him to go get the coffee that she was suppose to be getting for work. But then he behaved the way he did and she couldn't help but laugh at him a little bit, she didn't even try to hide it like she normally would. Normally she would have tried to hide it, but he had caught her so off guard with his behavior that she couldn't help herself... " I actually can't do lunch, I'm suppose to be getting coffee for work..." Delilah said, looking at her phone for the time. " Maybe other time though?" She said, sticking her hands in her pockets and walking around him heading towards the line. She internally kicked herself in the ass, thinking that she should have accepted his offer, free lunch from a good looking guy, what the hell was wrong with her? It wasn't like guys were beating down her door to take her out, why had she refused? Because he thought he knew her from her past life? That really wasn't a good enough reason, he obviously didn't truly remember her. She could play it off as long as she could before he figured out she used to be a whore. It was only lunch...what's the worst that could happen? She knew that the chances of anything coming from this were slim to none, she needed to live a little. She opened her phone and texted Ben, her boss, 'Ben I'm taking lunch, deal with it ;-P' and after she hit the send button she turned on her heal and looked at him. " They can wait, Let's get lunch, but somewhere else they don't really have good food here for lunch." She said to him throwing him a cute/sexy smirk. [[haha, i bet he thought she was totally going to blow him off ]]

As he watched the dark haired brunette start to shake with laughter his eyes widened, the corners of his lips starting to shrink back away from the edges of his face but he still kept a slight smile in place; even if it was only a halfhearted smile. Jacksen was glad she had found his joke funny; her laugh was a beautiful one too. The melodic sound rang in his ears and he shut his eyes letting it wash over him, he felt a slight tingle all over and was sure that if someone were to roll up one of the sleeves of his shirt they’d see that his arms were riddled with little bumps from the chill that went up his spine. His eyelids fluttered open and he once again took in the women in front of him, still shaking with laughter and emitting that musical laughter. His dipped slightly as his right hand pressed up against his stomach, the fabric of his shirt pressing up against his flesh and his left hand now hidden behind his back was doing the same as it rested against his lower back. Bending at the waist he rose back up quickly and then repeated the process before standing up straight again, ”Thank you, thank you’re to kind. Really it wasn’t even that great of a joke.” His hands fell next to his sides once more, his quick bow now over and done with. His tongue darted from between his lips and slide over the pink surface before disappearing once more, the fact she genuinely liked what he’d said had sent a sudden rush of warmth throughout his body. Though he wasn’t sure she was able to affect him so after only just having met her a moment ago, but he wasn’t about to walk away because she was.
Jacksen’s shoulders rose and then fell heavily in response to what she had said, he could tell she was trying to dismiss the subject and he didn’t plan to push it if she didn’t want him to. He sucked in and held a deep breath as he kept his eyes trained on her bright crystal blue eyes, if she walked away in that second he was sure those eyes would surely haunt him. Though he tried to read what she was hiding behind them he found it hard to get past the initial shock and felt like he was drowning the further he tried to see what was behind those eyes, the window to her soul definitely seemed shut and Jacks wanted to open that window and find a way in.
He had to force his eyelids shut and turn his head away from her so when he opened her eyes he wouldn’t staring into those beautiful eyes of hers. When all he saw was the darkness in front of his eyes, even the bright light trying to penetrate the darkness didn’t stop him from realizing he was being rather foolish. Gently biting down on his lower lip his eyelids fluttered open and he was thankfully viewing the dining area of the café, a heavy sigh escaped his lips before his head swiveled back in the women’s direction; this time he tried to not get lost in her eyes even though they were once again trying to draw him in. Jacks cleared his throat, trying to find a way to shake off the awkwardness that had seemed to settle in around them; that awkwardness could’ve just been one sided for all he knew and he didn’t dare ask in case he scared her off and from the little interaction they had he wanted the pleasure of enjoying her company further.
Even though he’d found some way to reconcile and bury the hole he’d started to dig himself into he couldn’t help but feel like that was why she was trying to escape him in such a hurry; even if she were getting coffee the two could have stood in line together but he was sure she was trying to shake him off. Watching her walking around him, his head swiveled as far as it could watch her. His mouth dropping open slightly in the hopes he’d utter something to get her to reconsider, his hand rose from his side slowly almost catching the back of her shirt but missing it by inches and just snatching the air she left behind. He drew his empty fist in close to his chest and uncoiled his fingers, his eyes staring at his empty palm. His eyebrows started to draw together as his lips did the same, pursing out as he stood their frustrated with himself for not uttering a single peep and just letting Delilah slip away. He stood there for a few seconds as he mulled over what had happened before his features relaxed and sigh escaped from his lips, his feet turned in the direction of the dining area and his head rose back up high; his eyes remaining downcast until that melodic voice broke the silence that had fallen around him. His eyes flickered over in the direction it’d come from and the corners of his mouth slowly started to rise up as he closed the space between them once again. ”I’m glad you reconsidered Miss O’Donnell.” Jacksen’s hand rose from his side and extended out towards her, his fingers slid around her wrist before he linked her arm with his and proceeded to escort her up towards the counter.
Falling in line behind the few people who had made it there before them, ”This place has a great lunch menu, you just must order the wrong things…don’t worry I can order for you and then you’ll be coming back for more than just coffee.” Craning his around he had to let it hang a bit to look at her, ”Why do you come here for coffee? Isn’t there a coffee shop that’s closer to your work? Or a Starbucks even.” Jacksen decided not to add the part about how he was sure they were cheaper places to buy from, because he didn’t want to offend her. And honestly it was more of a passing thought because he knew most people didn’t stop in this place because it was one of the more expensive places to get a meal from, Jacksen was just so used to coming here he wasn’t aware other people might think of this.

"Oh your welcome, i found if very amusing" After her laughing fit, Lilah had to admit that she was feeling very foolish. Not embarrassed because to be embarrassed that meant that you had to regret what you did, and she most certainty didn't regret laughing her head off in front of a fairly handsome gentleman. No she had done far worse things in her short life that warranted embarrassment, but this was not one of them. As she looked at him, looking back at her she wondered for a second what he thought of her. Delilah didn't normally wonder nor car what people thought of her, but here she was wondering what a complete stranger thought of her, and finding herself actually sort of caring what he thought. It was astounding to her. What was so special about him that made her feel this way she wondered to herself as she started at his features. He was quite attractive. But Lilah had quickly learned since she had completely changed her life that looks weren't everything. Once her mind has sobered up, she realized that the most gorgeous boys were the ones who had usually hurt her the worst. They would use her and abuse her and leave her in the gutter to go on for the newest and prettiest shiny thing that they could get their hands on. But there was something about this boy standing in front of her that made her think that he was different. She found this notion quite amusing in itself, thought she wouldn't dare say anything to him. She would keep her thoughts guarded and to herself, no one ever knew what she was thinking unless she told them. Her mother had always instilled in her that a women's thoughts should be kept private, that they should always nod and agree with men. Though she didn't really agree with her mother on the second part, she agreed that one's thoughts should be kept private, that you didn't have to tell people every little thing that you were thinking all of the time. Though one shouldn't mistake this attribute for thinking that she didn't speak her mind, because she had no problem saying something when the time called for it. But she wasn't about to tell this boy, this complete stranger that she thought he was different from the rest of the snooty rich boys that she had met. Because well...what if she was wrong?
Delilah chewed this notion over in her head for a few more seconds, lost in her own thoughts before she realized that she was being rude. She looked up at the boy about to apologize when she realized that he looked like he was lost in his own thoughts. She suddenly wondered what he was thinking. She had always wondered about the inner workings of other people's minds. She thought that if she had the patience for school that she might have actually made a good Psychologist. But she was never really good at academics, and she didn't have the money to pay for college. Her parents definitely wouldn't have paid for it. They were so traditionally Italian it was unbelievable. They believed that a women was only good for two things, shopping and managing a home. Those were the only things they were allowed to do. It was no wonder that she had turned out the way she had, before she deiced to change her life. When Delilah had told them that she was moving out and going to school to be a mechanic her mother had nearly died and her father almost hit her. Her relationship with her parents was stressed to say the least, and it wasn't getting any better. They didn't agree with her lifestyle choices, or even where she lived. But it didn't matter to her. She was so much happier being out of that lifestyle, for the first time in her life she actually felt like she could breath, and she wasn't going to give it up for anything, or anyone. Maybe she was being selfish, she knew that probably one day she was going to go crawling back to her parents, and marry some Italian boy that they chose for her and make lots of babies. Because in reality, she did love her family, and she hated disappointing them. But she needed to focus on herself now, and make herself happy. That was what was important to her. She need to be able to look back on her mundane life twenty years from now, and be able to say that she got the chance to experience life. She didn't want to be her mother, who knew nothing outside of keeping a family and shopping. Her mother was so blinded by being a mod wife that she knew nothing else.
"Well I realized that I would be completely insane to turn down a free meal" Delilah said with a playful smile and a wink, trying to indicate that she was teasing him. She didn't know what really made her reconsider, but she had. Something about this strange boy drew her in. She found herself wanting to get to know him and not knowing why. Maybe it was his pretty face, or his amazing chocolate brown eyes. There was just something about him that made him unlike anyone she had ever met before, that made her want to give him a chance. She followed him to the line, when he insisted that they had to eat here, and she wondered why. "Maybe your right and I haven't but if I don't like their food, maybe I'll have to have to take me out again, another day to make it up to me." She gave him another playful smile and a wink just to show him that she was kidding once again. "I normally don't like people ordering for me, so I hope you don't disappoint me into never letting anyone else do it ever again" It drove her crazy when other people would order for her. Back when she lived in the city, and would go out with guys., they would try and be slick and order for her trying to impress her. But why would she be impressed with some cheesy guy ordering her some kind of salad? At the time, she had always assumed that they were trying to say that she was fat, but now she realized that they had just assumed that all girls like her ate were salad. But if Jacksen ordered her a salad, she must just have to kill him...really... "I come where I'm told" She said, shrugging her shoulders. "This is the closest place to my work, and the owner gives us a discount on coffee because we give them a discount on service"
[[ i thought that it was about time that I posted for you, and since i annoyed you later i thought this would be a nice way to make up for it oh and I almost posted this under the wrong name, that would have been embarrassing good thing i previewed haha]]
