Woods snake up along the southern edge of the courtyard, and situated at the very corner of the courtyard there's a rather unmarked path leading through the woods away from the campus. Most students know about this place but rumor has it some pretty shady activities go on down here, so that leaves most people staying away from the trail. If you're looking to just disappear for a while this is the place though, nothing but nature to distract you (well until you run into other students trying to accomplish the same disappearing act you are).

The Courtyard is the best place to relax outside at Jackson High. Students hang out here before and after school, and usually on nice days select classes will be held out on the lawn. There are few picnic tables and benches around, and also a cement path where you can bike / skateboard / rollerblade.

Mr. Lewis Wilson, the local pool man, has donated enough money (with the help of the community) for Jackson High to have their own sports arena. It is open to the students daily, and swim meats / practices are also held here. Also, the ice-rink is open year round for the hockey players and figure skaters.
