Nathan had just arrived at school, he had no idea what to expect. His parents had sent him there because he had been 'getting out of hand' and because they claimed that they could not handle it, but he had always been a little difficult. That was just who he was. How could he change that? He didn't want to change that, plus he didn't think he should have to change his attitude. He believed that it was all because of the new baby his parents were like they were with him. His mother was pregnant. He was far from amused, plus he found it disgusting how his parents were still having sex at their age. To him, they were old and shouldn't be doing it at all. It was his time now, not theirs, he didn't want to share his time with them. It wasn't like he wanted to get a girl pregnant, he just believed that their time had been to have all the sex, and his time was just beginning.Since his mother had become pregnant it was like him and his siblings did not exist and that really annoyed him, it pissed him off so much, more than anything. Now he just felt that he didn't even matter, that he wasn't important, well that is how he felt anyway, But he didn't know that it was like that, he just assumed it. He was quite stubborn and he always had to be right. He wasn't the type to talk about his feelings, so he never actually told his parents about it all. He never even spoke about that kind of thing to the friends he did have. To him, it didn't really make sense to talk about stuff like that. Deep down though he did wish that he could talk a little more to his parents. He was secretly affectionate and protective of those he did actually care about, but there weren't many people he DID care about around him. There were a few though and he kept them close, but now he was at a different school, away from school, away from trouble and so it now seemed, away from them. Away from anyone he was really bothered about. He DIDN'T want to be here, he just didn't care about school that much, but he still managed to get the grades in what he needed. All he cared about was his sports. He was never going to be like his siblings, especially his sister who had her own successful business, he never even tried to compete with them academically because he knew that he would be the one to lose, he wasn't smart like that, he wasn't good at math or science. Then there was his brother, studying to be a lawyer, well he could never do that! He was secretly jealous but never admitted it, plus he was happy with his choice with his own career path. As he reached his dorm, he brushed his thoughts away, hoping that he was going to be sharing with some hottie. He could only hope, that was the reason why he had signed up for a co ed dorm. Judging by other girls around though, he had noticed that none of them were ugly at all, rather the opposite, that was a good thing though, plus his old school hadn't been an boarding school. He believed that would make things easier for him, things that he felt were important to him. He dumped his things he had with him on what he thought was the spare bed and then decided to lay down himself. He then saw the door knob move and looked up as someone entered. well hello there. he looked up and grinned at the girl who stood before him. tagged. Abigail had been having the longest day imaginable. Her teacher had asked her to stay behind and help her grade some of her quizzes from the previous class, and since she had never been one to say no to helping out she stayed behind gladly. Her teacher gave her the answer key and a red pen and Abigail sat at one of the desks going through each quiz and marking off the wrong answers. She never did grade, just marked the imperfections, and left the actual number to her teacher. She could never be a teacher and write such low marks on quizzes, but from some of these papers that had more red x's on them than correct answers she knew that the teacher would have to fail them this time around. She refused to look at the names in the top corner not wanting to know who received such low marks, but as she finished and put the paper aside she silently said she was sorry for having to do that.
When she finally got through the rest of the tests she picked them all up and brought them back to the teacher, "there you go, all finished," the teacher thanked her as she handed them to her, "anything else you need my help with?" The teacher shook her head and told her to go enjoy the rest of the day, so with a nod she walked to her desk and picked her things up before saying her goodbye and leaving the room. Before she would go to her room she had to stop by her locker, but that never took long as she made it to that floor and found her locker with ease. "Excuse me," she cleared her throat as the couple that had the locker beside her were leaning against hers all over each other. She hated having those people so close to her and wished they could use their own locker as a leaning post, but it was always open and playing some nasty music that made Abigail cringe. "EXCUSE ME, I need to get to my locker," she spoke louder as the couple glared at her and before long were rolling their eyes moving over so she could open her's up.
She did not hesitate to get everything she needed and stuff it into her backpack, and with that she shut her locker jiggling the combination to make sure it was locked, and she did not take any time getting out of that area. She looked back when she was about halfway down the hall and couldn't believe that they were already right against her locker again. Remind me to start bringing disinfectant, she really needed a new locker and might have to see about asking for one, but since she'd already asked for the new room she didn't want to be a bother. She needed that new room though after walking in and seeing those two guys together in bed. It's not that she had a thing against gays, she was not prejudice in the slightest, but having them in bed together just freaked her out. It would have done the same thing to her had it been a male and female too though so that wasn't a big issue, but still it was enough to freak her right out and rush to the administration. Luckily they had another place they could put her for the timebeing, and even better there had been a spare bed which meant no roommate at the moment.
A smile grew on her face as she made it to her dorm building and through the halls, and when she reached her door she felt entirely at ease knowing she'd get some peace and quiet. She was about to put her key in the lock but she noticed it jiggled too much, so it appeared that it'd been unlocked already. This is weird she mentioned to herself as she turned the handle and could feel the pressure of the door give as she could easily swing it, and as she did she immediately saw the person laying on the spare bed and she froze in her step. "Um, what are you doing here?" She asked as softly as possible not wanting to be mean, but at the same time she was startled and just had to ask that question. "You must be in the wrong room, I don't have a roommate."
She kept the door open so it would be easier for him to leave and she walked to her own bed setting her bag down as she couldn't hear him moving behind her. "There is no need to feel embarassed, we all make mistakes, so i'm sure you've just gotten the room number wrong or something. It's an easy fix, what room are you supposed to be in? I could point you in the right direction." That is when she noticed the bags and gulped, and then she remembered the door had been unlocked and not just any key did that. "You are in the wrong room, right?" She sure hoped so.

Nathan smirked at her reaction to him being there, he wasn’t expecting her to be so shocked, but he kind of liked it. He definitely found it amusing. Now is that any way to speak to your new roommate? he grinned at her. Obviously she was neither wanting or expecting a roommate and she had gotten a surprise. Now I think administration mentioned who I would be rooming with, they said it was a girl... he said putting his finger to his lips pretending to think. Well I can’t remember her name but I am guessing you are her he smiled at her. Didn’t administration tell you someone would be moving in? he laughed. Obviously not. Well I guess you weren’t expecting me huh? he chuckled. This was all joke to him, and he was letting her know loud and clear that he thought that as well. He wasn’t going to be nice to her just for the sake of making it easier living for her. Where was the fun in that? He liked to mess people around and just because she appeared to be a ‘sweet and innocent’ girl he wasn’t going to let it stop her. Though she was blonde and they were his weakness. He laughed as she went on, believing him to be in the wrong room. I’m not embarassed he laughed. No love, room eleven right? This is my room...its right he told her. Don’t say you are disappointed, we’ll have lots of fun together he said walking nearer to her and nudging her slightly. He was trying to be a little bit nicer there, making her ease up a little with the nudge but he didn’t think that she would get that, in a way he kind of hoped that she wouldn’t. If she was going to be this nervous around her all the time it would be fun. Well, judging by the fact that those are my bags I would say I am your new roommate he said. Sorry to disappoint you there. I know you were probably hoping for someone else. But at least I am good looking right? he laughed. It would be bad if I was a pain and ugly he laughed. Oh come on I am not that bad am I? he said looking at her. He could understand why she was a little nervous, but she did seem a little more nervous than he would think the average girl would be, he didn’t really understand her. He then realised he hadn’t actually introduced himself to her. How rude of me, I haven’t even introduced myself have I? he said to her. I am Nathaniel Whitfield....but don’t call me Nathaniel, you’ll get no reply...just call me Nathan...and you never told me your name did you? he asked her. After all that wondering if I was going to be your roommate. That was very rude of you he said. He hoped that it would get to her enough to feel bad, because he could kind of tell that she seemed like the type who would be bothered and apologise. Maybe he was wrong but he wasn’t going to hold his breath. Oh I know! he said brightly You can meet fluffy he grinned at her. Fluffy was his snake, rather ironic and odd for a reptile, but that was the whole point really. With a name like fluffy the girl was sure to think it was some cute little bunny or something, instead she would see that it was actually a python, and a rather large one at that. tagged. Hearing the word roommate immediately brought up bad memories of her previous experience, so again she hoped this was all just a big misunderstanding. "Nobody sent me any notices or told me that I was getting a roommate at all, wouldn't, no shouldn't they have called or left a note or something?" For a second she looked frazzled. She could not come in on him in bed with another man like her past. She could see a meltdown in her future. "Are you certain you're in the right room? There are plenty of girls on this floor," she just sighed knowing this was more than likely not a mistake.
"They seem to have forgotten to mention you," she had told them what had forced her out of her previous room, so you'd think they'd avoid placing her with another male, and yet there one was looking and talking to her. She sighed before starting to ramble about him having the wrong room again, the little defense she had left, but she stopped when she heard him laughing and mentioning their room number. "Disappointed?" She sighed thinking there were a good number of other words she could use to describe what she was feeling, but instead she just shrugged as she walked over to her bed and sat down on it. This was beginning to be too much. "Fun together?" If he was trying to make jokes she wasn't having any of them. He was not a funny guy.
She decided it'd be best to just give up and accept her new living arrangements. At least it was only for a couple more months and nothing more. She listened to him, the man did not have a problem with talking it'd appear, and when he called himself nice looking she glanced over at him flashing a quick smile, the first one today, "you're pretty full of yourself too," it wasn't a joke but might have came off as one. "You are very handsome." She figured she should give him that minor compliment, try to start things off right after her disbelief of him being her roommate. When she heard him ask if he'd been that bad she just groaned and shook her head, "not so far, but everyone would be a saint compared to my last roommate." She couldn't even remember his name she'd tried to block him from her memory so hard. "I came back to the dorm one morning to see him and another man pretty much naked in bed together. They were covered up but, well you know," she sighed not wanting to remember that, but she had to let him know after a question like that.
Abby had hoped this was still a joke, but as he introduced himself she glanced over at him when she'd heard his last name. There was another Whitfield around campus, Abby was sure of it, but from the stories about him she knew he was not a very nice guy. She knew never to believe the stories though, so until she'd met him face to face she'd just have to keep her opinion open. "I didn't mean to be rude, I just, after my last roommate I wasn't expecting another male is all." Now he made her feel terrible for being rude to him. "My name is Abigail, but more just call me Abby, simple enough." She had hoped she wouldn't be rude again, her people-pleaser attitude would try desperately to turn his opinion of her around, but at the same time she hoped he could become friendly to make less work for her. With mention of Fluffy she turned her attention to him once more, "you do know they frown on animals in the dorms unless their caged right? Is Fluffy a hamster or something?" Abigail loved hamsters so she looked around for a small cage and wheel.

They probably should have, those bastards he said making fun of her a little. Deep down it did seem a little unfair that she had not been told, but he wasn’t going to tell her that was he now? You should complain or something, I would. I mean they really should warn people when they are getting a new roommate you know? he smirked slightly, then he looked at her straight on. Yes I am certain I have it in writing, want to see? he asked and passed her the piece of paper with his dorm information on it. Sorry to disappoint you he shrugged But I am here to stay he told her with a shrug. They do he said I don’t know how they could do that, I shall be having words, no one should forget me he grinned. I’m unforgettable, well I am a whitfield, so of course should not be forgotten...the administration staff have some explaining to do he said. Oh, so you are disappointed? he pouted at her Yes, lots of fun. I am being totally serious as well. Maybe her idea of fun would be different but he could at least have his fun and mess around with her a little bit. It would be rather fun, she seemed like the type to get upset easily, he wanted to see how far he could push her. If he got his cousin involved then that would be even more fun, he was always up for playing games, she seemed the type who wouldn’t stand up for herself easily. It was rather mean and he knew it but it would amuse him so that was okay. Well all us Whitfields are kind of the same on that one he told her But we have good reason, we have good genes he grinned. Why thank you....I must say you are rather beautiful, if you don’t mind me saying he was being serious about her being beautiful, but kind of taking the piss a little because she had called him ‘handsome’ he hadn’t really heard that term in a long while. He laughed slightly about what he told her about her other roommate That would be a shock he said, agreeing with her he wouldn’t like it either. He would have moved straight out. I can’t say I would have liked that either, I guess I can understand why anyone would be better than him. I am not all bad though, honest he said, giving her an innocent little grin. He would tell her he wasn’t but then just pick on her for the smallest thing to get her wound up. He liked to get people annoyed. He shrugged her off when she said she didn’t mean to be rude. I don’t mind he said. I know when I am not wanted he pouted, then he laughed. So you were expecting a female? Well that is okay with me, we could always ask for a female roomie, there is room in my bed for one of you to share he joked. Abby, that’s a pretty name he told her with a genuine smile. I had a dog called Abby he laughed she was a bitch he laughed at his lame joke. That was so very lame but he still seemed to laugh. I know, it is caged he told her with a nod. He laughed when she asked if it was a hamster. Not exactly....come see he said dragging her by the hand and walking over to the glass cage type thing and pulled out fluffy the snake. this is fluffy. I thought I would name him something cute, I love the reaction I get when people see it’s not a cute little bunny or hamster or something he chuckled. tagged.
