He curled up in his bed miserably, hugging his Tramp doll close to his chest but it wasn't a substitute for who he wished he was hugging. He missed being able to just bounce up and hug his boyfriend from behind, missed waking up curled next to him. He missed seeing Jack when he was sleeping and looked too cute to wake up, and he just wanted to snuggle back in and fall back asleep with him. He just missed Jack in general, those gray eyes that he thought were so pretty, the way he always seemed so sleepy, able to calm his hyperness down easily. He groaned, reaching out and grabbing his ipod from his bedside table, plugging the earbuds into his ears before he curled up further on his bed.
"Picture perfect memories scattered all around the floor, reachin' for the phone cause I can't fight it anymore. And I wonder if I ever cross your mind, for me it happens all the time." He sang along softly to the song playing, his blue eyes closing sadly. He couldn't believe it would be a few weeks before he could see Jack again - they talked over the phone, could talk for hours and those conversations helped a little - but he couldn't see his boyfriends face over the phone, see the little expressions that made him so adorable and sexy at the same time. He rolled over, still hugging the stuffed dog to his chest, and stared at the wall next to his bed - it was lonely without anyone around, even lonelier knowing his boyfriend wasn't right next door, and it made him ache a little inside to know he wouldn't walk into that room and find Jack there for awhile now. The closest he had to being close to Jack was the hoodie he was wearing, one he'd 'borrowed' after sleeping over one night and never returned because he'd kept forgetting and because it was warm and snuggly. He didn't hear the door opening through the music in his earbuds, his eyes closed as he stayed curled up, lost in his own world of wallowing in the fact that he wouldn't see his boyfriend face-to-face for weeks.

He tapped the index finger of his right hand against his thigh to the beat of the music that was pouring through his headphones. He was having a difficult time with Autumn; she wasn't doing anything wrong, really, she was just different. Really, really different. Now normally Billy would tell her to embrace this, and maybe even go so far as to accept it - but this? This? Autumn had shown up at a coffee shop dressed like she was about ready to go to a glammed up funeral or something. Glammed? Was that even a word? His brow furrowed slightly as he paced about the hallway, not entirely sure what to do. He'd studied all of his classes to the point where he was having dreams about math, which was low even for William Tankian, and he knew that if he spent one more moment reading The Tale of Two Cities he'd probably go insane.
His lips pursed as he came up with the only viable conclusion; he'd have to go talk to Xavier. The thought was not a particularly pleasant one, as it seemed that every time he was in the same room as the taller boy he ran the risk of leaving with glitter all over him. Xavier... There was nothing wrong with Xavier, or at least that was what Billy tried so hard to tell himself. He really didn't want to be a prick, he honestly didn't. He wanted to be nice to the boy, and maybe even be friends with him... But there was something about him that made Billy's skin crawl and it wasn't in a good way. And if he was corrupting Autumn, then what was Billy supposed to do? Sit back and let everything happen like Xavier hadn't just shouldered himself into a friendship that had been doing perfectly fine before the presence of the glitterized, black haired rocker? Billy's eyebrows knit even further together and sprawled an expression of extreme worry across his face. No, he couldn't just sit back and let Xavier go shopping with Autumn and turn her into one of those... One of those... Oh, he didn't even know.
His hand balled into a fist, not a violent one, but one that was determined. He stormed down the hallway, hyping up the mood to something that it really wasn't. Billy wasn't mad, and he was kidding himself if he was trying to be that way - honestly, Xav wasn't meaning to do this, right? It wasn't like the boy had consciously thought Oh hey look, these two look like good friends, why don't I butt in and cause some chaos, right? Or at least Billy hoped he hadn't. Xavier didn't seem like the openly malicious type who would try to corrupt someone. But, then again, Billy didn't spend that much time with him because, let's face it, Xav still made his skin crawl. He sucked in a deep breath through stiff lips which made an awkward whistling noise, and he pursed them together with an embarrassed quickness. Although he couldn't really hear the noise over his music, anyway, because One Republic was blasting through his iTouch. He paused briefly before the door to Xavier and Autumn's room and thought about the cons of bursting in. After all, what if one of them was changing, or something? Though he didn't even know if Autumn was in (for all he knew she was off buying ridiculous circus train wreck clothes again) or, for that matter, if Xavier was even in.
Then again, he could burst in on something he didn't necessarily want to see, either. But that thought only occured to him after he had shoved the door open, all bravado having thus died down, leaving him a ridiculous lump of Billy standing in the doorway kind of dumbly. Wow, that was stupid, wasn't it? He almost said it aloud, though he thought better of it - or his mouth just simply wouldn't articulate the words. His brow knit again as he observed Xavier, curled up on his bed with a stuffed animal. Well, that wasn't surprising, the Disney animal, of course. The fact that he wasn't up bouncing off the walls like some sugar-infused junkie was a different story, though. "Xavier," He crossed his arms, wishing the faux-angry bravado would come back, but it didn't. He just kind of stood there with his arms crossed and his face molded into the best expression of frustration that he could get it into. "What the heck," Billy didn't like to swear, "Did you do to Autumn's clothes?" There was something wrong with the boy, Billy noted, though he wasn't about to address that fact until he figured out what the heck Xavier Crowe had done to the Autumn that Billy had come to know and love.

"Xavier," He dimly heard the sound of his own name through his music and slowly rolled over, his eyes opening to reveal dark sapphire orbs that had been hidden by the closed lids. He was confronted with the odd sight of what looked like an annoyed Billy - or at least, he assumed he was annoyed, judging by the way his arms were crossed and a look of frustration on his face. He pulled one earbud from his ear, turning the volume down with his thumb as he gave the shorter boy his best annoyed 'yes?' look, although he was sure it failed because in all honestly he'd been going for a 'get the fuck away' look but couldn't be bothered to really try at it. All he really wanted was to be left alone to curl up with his stuffed dog (childish, but he didn't care) and mope for a bit.
"What the heck did you do to Autumns clothes?" He gave a half-hearted roll of his eyes, debating shoving his head under his pillow because he just didn't want to deal with this but deciding against it because he figured it'd be easier to get rid of Billy if his head wasn't covered by a fabric square. "Nothing. Didn't touch anything." came his voice, a south California drawl that held equal hints of annoyance and sadness instead of his usual friendly sarcasm or happy exclamations. His words were terse and simple - the quicker he finished talking, the sooner Billy would be gone, a drastic change from his usual verbose manner. He curled up farther on the bed, hugging the stuffed dog closer to his chest, his sapphire eyes still narrowed in a questioning glare at the other boy. He hadn't done anything to Autumns clothes recently - hadn't 'borrowed' one scrap of fabric to wear himself for at least a week, so what the heck was Pocket Pet going on about?

Something was wrong with Xavier, Billy knew that much. It nagged at him, as much as he wasn't extremely fond of the boy, to know that Xav was upset. Maybe it was how he was raised, or maybe he was just doomed to care too much about people, but he did care, and that singular thought pushed out the very traces that the bravado had left in its wake. Still, he couldn't just deflate there, could he? His shoulders slumped slightly and his arms relaxed more, although they still remained crossed over his torso, and the sharp line of his brow decreased minimally in its angle. This wasn't exactly fair, was it? He was so sick of putting people before himself, but he couldn't really stop now, could he?
At least he could get an answer out of the taller boy. Right. Answers. Xavier was putting on a crappy attempt to tell him to go away, and Billy was having none of it. Xav could mope all he wanted, sure, but Billy was going to get his answer and then maybe go make Xavier some hot cocoa or something - because, honestly, depressed Xavier made Billy depressed. And while making Billy depressed wasn't something that was difficult to accomplish, for Xavier it was a problem. His lips curled downward into a frown, although it was not angry, just a little unhappy. He blinked his brown eyes, taking in the sight of Xavier, moping on his bed with his stuffed animal. "Did you see what she was wearing? It was black, and lacy, and... Oh, what the heck was it?" He realized halfway through that he'd probably be wiser to watch what he was saying, because Xav would undoubtedly tell Autumn later on, and he didn't want to hurt her feelings. He just wanted to figure out what the heck was going on.
"Listen, Xav..." He uncrossed his arms and let them dangle awkwardly at his sides, and in their uselessness his index finger went on to tap the side of his thigh to the beat of the song through the earphones. His left hand, feeling awkward still, brushed through his fluffy brown hair. "...Man, what's wrong?" The thought of sitting down and actually listening to Xavier still made his skin get those creepy goosebumps. He really didn't want to be mean to Xavier, because in nature he wasn't a mean person, but there was just something about the boy. Just something... Okay, he wasn't exactly a homophobe or anything - everyone had the right to love who they wanted, right? - but seeing it up close... It didn't scare him or anything, but he wasn't exactly comfortable with it. And Xavier's degree of flamboyance was enough to make Billy want to shy off into a corner. But Billy knew he would definitely take that glittery flamboyance over moping any day. And Xavier wasn't even wearing glitter, Billy noticed with a start.
He moved a little, mindful of Xavier's warning not to touch anything, and shifted his weight as he stopped a few feet from Xavier's bed. He wasn't sure what the proper etiquette in the situation was, because Xavier wasn't exactly one of his close friends or anything. But he was Autumn's friend, and Billy wasn't completely mortified by him, so that counted for something. The fake-toughness (or what had initially existed of it in the first place) evaporated from his face and a look of worry caught him and seized his expression. "Really, Xav, what's wrong?" His voice lowered, concern running rampant through the syllables.

Billy seemed to deflate in front of his eyes, not that he'd done a very good job of seeming angry before - he had to briefly wonder if pocket pet even got mad, or if he just got annoyed before he simply raised one eyebrow, a trick he'd mastered back in grade school. Now that had been something that annoyed people, mainly the other boys in the class who had gotten angry that they couldn't do it themselves. "Did you see what she was wearing? It was black, and lacy, and oh...what the heck was it?" He blinked before realizing the shorter male was talking about the dress Autumn had gotten when they'd gone shopping a few days ago. "A dress." He managed to infuse his tone with a weak amount of sarcasm, eyeing Billy like he wasn't quite certain if he'd actually been asked that. He'd encouraged autumn to buy the dress when she'd showed him it - while it was rather Victorian, and gloomy, she needed to break out of her shell and make her own decisions as to how she wanted to spread her wings and fly. He was just there to encourage her to take the first few leaps.
"Listen, Xav..." His eyebrow raised once more, listlessly watching the way Billys fingers tapped against his thigh when his arms uncrossed, the other running through his brown hair and spiking it up a little from the motion. "...Man, what's wrong?" He didn't have long to wait before Billy was speaking again, and he just 'meh'ed at the question, pulling the hood of his sweatshirt over his head because it made him feel like Jack was there, just a little. He didn't want to talk about it - he just wanted to be left alone right then to curl up in his misery. He could hear the shorter boy shuffling closer but didn't even look up, staying curled in a small ball with his hood over his head like a turtle in it's shell.
"Really, Xav, what's wrong?" He glanced up at the notes of concern in the other boys voice, noting the look of worry before he ducked his head back down. "Nothing." He muttered - he'd never been one to spill his personal details to strangers, only to his close friends, and even he could admit he and pocket pet weren't that close. If Billy thought about it though, he'd probably figure it out - after all, Billy roomed with Jack, and it was pretty obvious Jack hadn't been there for awhile. He wasn't even sure if Billy has met Jack before, but he certainly would have been told his room mates name, and if he were as smart as he seemed he'd be able to put two and two together and get four.

Her frowned at Xavier's response, wishing that he'd chosen to acknowledge what Billy had actually meant. He didn't, though, and Billy's eyebrows knit together once more in frustration. "You know what I mean." He said, his voice a little annoyed. He rolled his eyes, wishing Xav wasn't in such a funk. It wouldn't have been much better with Xavier jumping off the walls like he'd taken a hypodermic of sugar straight to the heart, but... At least it was better than this, right? Moping Xavier was not something Billy wanted to deal with.
His eyes narrowed slightly and he glanced up at the ceiling, suddenly regretting having ever come there in the first place. He screwed his mouth up a little to the side, his brown eyes finally focusing on the boy who was trying to hide in his hoodie. His hoodie? No.. that didn't seem right, Xav wouldn't wear that, would he? He looked so drab, so... Not-sparkling, it was strange. Billy tapped his foot, trading the motion instead of tapping his finger, and quickly ceased both entirely because they annoyed even him. "This isn't because Jack's gone, right?" Of course it was. Of course it was because Jack was gone. It wasn't like Billy got that way whenever Autumn left, was it? But... Then again, Jack and Xav were dating - that word made his skin crawl just a little - and he and Autumn were just friends. Friends that Xav seemed a little unconsciously hellbent to break up.
"Listen," He draped his left hand over his face, dragging it down slowly as he thought. "Xav, seriously, you look sick." Maybe not he most eloquent way to put things, but Xav certainly didn't look like himself. Billy knelt down slightly, balancing on the balls of his feet and resting his forearms over his thighs. "Want me to go get you something? I dunno, like food maybe? Or a coffee? You haven't been sitting here all day, have you? I mean if Autumn found out..." Maybe the Autumn strategy would work? "She'd be so worried about you. What if she just comes in here and sees you loafing around with your stuffed Tramp? Could you imagine what she'd do?" Freak out, maybe, panic? That seemed right. Autumn wasn't the type who'd just let Xav sit around and mope all day, so Billy wasn't going to let him, either. Even if they weren't good friends, Billy felt obligated to at least get Xav up and moving, even if that was the least he could do.

"You know what I mean." He sighed, listening to the annoyance in the other boys voice, making a sound in his throat just so that Billy wouldn’t accuse him of not listening, keeping himself curled up on the bed. Why couldn’t he just be left to mope? Really, he was perfectly happy right where he was, wishing Jack was there because he missed his boyfriend horribly. "This isn't because Jack's gone, right?" At the sound of his boyfriends name he made a pained noise and pulled the hood further over his head, curling into a fetal position and hugging the tramp doll close to his chest. Yes, that was exactly the reason he was depressed, because dammit he missed his boyfriend. He wouldn’t even get to see Jack on Valentines Day – and just the thought made him even sadder, aching somewhere in his chest.
"Listen, Xav, seriously, you look sick.” He raised his head a little, sending the shorter boy a ‘gee, thanks’ look with as much venom as he could muster, which honestly wasn’t all that much because he just couldn’t be bothered. "Want me to go get you something? I dunno, like food maybe? Or a coffee? You haven't been sitting here all day, have you? I mean if Autumn found out..." He blinked, surprised by the offer (and the fact Billy had mentioned coffee, he’d seen him hyped up on caffeine enough to know he and coffee mixed a little too well) because once again, they weren’t exactly the best of friends. Perhaps Billy was doing this for Autumn, because he didn’t want her to worry? He didn’t know, and he merely shook his head in denial of the offer. ”I’m fine. I don’t need anything.” He said, a hint of irritation in his voice, trying to ignore the obvious thought of ’except jack’ because thinking about his absence hurt.
"She'd be so worried about you. What if she just comes in here and sees you loafing around with your stuffed Tramp? Could you imagine what she'd do?" He groaned, raising his head to glare once more at Billy before sitting up, unwilling to worry Autumn or have her freak out over him. ”There, I’m up. Worried autumn avoided.” He grumbled, running a hand through his hair and leaving it spiked slightly from the motion, not even bothering to fix it. ”Can I be left in peace now?”

The irritation in Xavier's expressions was starting to get annoying. Sure, Billy could understand the boy just wanting to mope around - but it wasn't productive at all, and it was hardly worth it to shoot him down because he was trying to help. His brow lowered over his eyes and he frowned deeply, his expression serious and not at all false this time. He was seriously about to go hit Xavier upside the head a few times. Really, moping around? Jack was just gone for a little while, a week maybe, a few weeks - Xavier would live. It wasn't like Jack had gone off and died or anything. Really, this was ridiculous.
Billy tried his best to be sympathetic though, even despite the looks that Xavier was throwing his way; all packed with venom and lethal barbs in hopes that they might get him to leave. But Billy wasn't about to leave, even though he would have loved to at that moment. "Good." He said, his voice less stony than his expression as Xavier finally gave in and sat up. The use of Autumn really seemed to work, didn't it? Of course if the roles were reversed, Billy would've gotten up and started dancing if it would keep Autumn from being worried.
"And no, I'm not leaving." He turned away from Xav and examined the room for a moment, his hands on his hips in a manner that was probably a little belittling to himself. He huffed, observing the place for a stint - careful not to touch anything - before he spun around to look at Xav again. "If I leave, you're just gonna flump right over again. Now get up. I mean, actually get up. Like stand up." He tried to make it sound less like a command, but the authority in his voice was still there. Hell, if Xavier didn't stand up himself, well then Billy would probably forcibly drag him down the hallway. He was taller, yeah, but Billy figured he could do it. He might lose an arm or a leg in the process - there was no telling what the Wild Xavier would resort to when provoked and moping - but it would be worth it. He was Autumn's friend, and even if he and Xavier weren't on particularly friendly terms (it wasn't like they were on bad terms, right? Billy didn't honestly have anything bad against Xav), Billy still felt the urge to at least keep the poor guy from moping around like a lump of used up leather. Even if he wasn't wearing any.
He crossed his arms and frowned for a moment, trying to figure out what would make the boy happy. Really, at this point, probably only Jack. But, Jack was obviously something that wasn't really accessible at the moment. So, Billy would have to compromise. "Go clean yourself up," He said, his voice still trying to be nice. It wasn't a suggestion, though, it was more of a demand. "I'm not kidding. Go get dressed or something, we're gonna go out and do something. And I don't care if you don't want to, cause I'll drag you out of here kicking and screaming if I have to." Billy, although tiny, was fairly athletic, and although he didn't play any sports at Jackson, he was fairly certain he could still drag Xavier out if he had to. His brow furrowed honestly over his eyes this time, determination bluntly shining in them. "Now get up."

"Good." He glared silently at the shorter boy, running his hands through his hair as he sat there before dropping them back to his lap. He just wanted to curl up and be miserable, but he didn’t want Autumn to worry – because when she worried, she worried big, and he didn’t want her working herself up over him. "And no, I'm not leaving." He sighed, watching as Billy put his hands on his hips like an irritated housewife (and they said he was the gay one? Ok that was mean, but still!) and looking around his room. He probably needed to clean his room up a little, there were clothes everywhere, but that was pretty much the normal state of his room so it didn’t matter quite so much. "If I leave, you're just gonna flump right over again. Now get up. I mean, actually get up. Like stand up." When the heck did Pocket Pet get so commanding? He would have crossed his arms like a stubborn child and just sat there, but the authority in Billy’s voice had him standing up slowly, eying him warily. He was pretty sure the shorter boy wouldn’t actually do anything, but he didn’t actually know and he’d rather not push his luck. It was usually the quiet ones that you had to watch out for, after all.
Actually, sitting there like a spoiled child sounded like a pretty good idea to him right then. He sat there with his eyes narrowed, his arms crossing slightly in stubbornness – he really just did not want to move. ”Do I have to?” He whined slightly – he was perfectly happy right where he was, and yes, he fully planned on curling back up when Billy left, if he ever actually did leave. He didn’t mean it when he said he was staying, right? "Go clean yourself up," He huffed slightly, his arms crossing tighter. He was clean, thank you very much. His hair was messy and he had no makeup on, but he’d gotten a shower the night before, so he was pretty sure he counted as ‘clean’, although he probably looked like a mess. ”I am clean.” He grumbled, trying his best to ignore the demand in the junior’s voice. "I'm not kidding. Go get dressed or something, we're gonna go out and do something. And I don't care if you don't want to, cause I'll drag you out of here kicking and screaming if I have to." Well, there went his hope Billy was just going to leave him be to mope.
Grumbling beneath his breath, he slowly stood up, dropping his arms from their crossed position across his chest to shove them into the hoodie pockets. ”I am dressed.” He pointed out with his best sarcastic voice, huffing a little more with annoyance. ”Now get up.” He merely raised an eyebrow, looking down at himself before back over at the short boy. Obviously, he was up. Whatever, he’d let Billy drag him off to wherever he was going to drag him and get him off his back for a bit. Maybe then he could have his moping in peace. ”Lead the way, Pocket Pet.”

He chewed on his cheek for a moment, annoyed when Xavier didn't listen to him. Honestly, what was the guy's problem? His boyfriend was gone, but not forever - he was coming back. It wasn't like he moved to Europe or died or something. Billy really couldn't see why Xavier was freaking out so much. He frowned, releasing his cheek from the grip of his teeth and wishing he hadn't bit it, because it was bleeding, and waited for Xav to make the next move. But he just sat there like a lump, a black and white, scrubbing lump of not-Xavier. There was nothing sparkling on him, and there was almost no trace of his friend in the room. Friend? Well, maybe. He wasn't sure he'd go that far exactly, but he was making an attempt to make him feel better, right? But it was a little selfish, because he was really only doing it to make sure Autumn didn't feel bad. But, still, he was trying, right? That was the point.
"Yes, you have to." He said resolutely, his expression hardening in a fashion almost akin to a parent with a small child. "I told you already, if you don't get up yourself, I'll drag you out of here. It's not an idle threat." And it wasn't, either. He didn't care who looked at him funny, or if someone called the campus police, or if he broke an arm in the process; Billy was getting Xavier out of his room and into the real world, where there was breathing space and things to do other than mope about his boyfriend. "Besides, Jack wouldn't want you to mope around here." He wasn't sure if this was true, but his voice was confident, and he was pretty sure that most people wouldn't want their significant others moping for no good reason at all.
He resisted the urge to roll his eyes and instead let his arms snake across his chest so they were crossed, slightly agitated. "I know you're dressed, and I'm hoping you're clean. I'm not going to smell you to find out." Billy said, frowning still as he watched Xav, his expression solid, like a frustrated statue's. "What I'm trying to say is, do you want to go out looking like that? Because we're going to the mall, and if you get stared at funny because you aren't up to your typical Xavier Crowe standard, well it's your own damn fault, cause I warned you." Billy didn't swear much, but when he did it was often pointed and appropriate to get his point across. His face was still that solid frown as his eyes flickered across Xav's face, impatience brewing slightly in his veins but not quite making it to the surface just yet. "So are you ready or what?"
