personality: At first glance Alannah can be seen as delicate because of her small stature, but in reality she is quite the opposite. Don’t get it wrong, she is a very fun loving, goofy girl but she definitely doesn’t mind getting dirty and working hard. Alannah can be a slow learner at times but once she gets it she will never forget it and will always get the job done to perfection. She is very open with her feelings - not always vocally - but with body language. A huge give away on how she is feeling can be revealed by a simple look into her eyes. Alannah is a great friend to have, as she is very honest and reliable. Alannah argues a lot, whether she is right or not she doesn’t care, because she truly believes she is always right. One downside to her personality is her fiery temper, and the fact that her temperament can change in the blink of an eye. Sometimes it seems so bad that if you use the wrong word in a sentence she will go into a fit. But if you befriend her, she will defend you to no end. When times get rough Alannah proves her appearance wrong and is tough as nails. All in all, Alannah is sweet and helpful but you wouldn’t want to come across her on a bad day.
likes: horseback riding, working, jogging, boys who treat her like a lady, cooking (and eating), being outdoors, her family, animals, steak and potatoes, sex (the least attachment the better), cowboy boots and sweatpants, Christmas, country music.
dislikes: prissy girls and boys, people who tell her she is wrong, getting too attached to a guy, popcorn, boys who let their pants fall halfway down their legs, traffic, shopping.
strengths: math and biology, cutting cows, cooking, arguing, card games.
weaknesses: english, dancing (two left feet), relationships, her inability to lie without giggling.

Alannah’s head rolled sideways on her pillow as the soft beeping of her alarm grew louder and louder until she was fully awake. Her delicate arm slid through the covers and she tapped the ‘off’ button with her finger. She rubbed the sleep out of her eyes and pushed herself into a sitting position with a groan. ‘Today is the day...’ she thought while rolling her eyes toward the large window positioned on the west side of her bedroom. All that was framed in the window was the risen sun and blue sky. Her senses became heightened as Rose, her families small Australian Sheppard, nosed her way through the door which was previously cracked open. The smell of bacon and eggs rushed into her room and suddenly her mood lifted. Alannah pushed her hair out of her face and tapped her knee to get her dogs attention. Rose’s ears perked up and she trotted over to Alannah with a joyful step, she received a good scratch behind her ears in reward. Alannah slipped her feet from under the covers onto the cold hardwood floor. She took a glance around her room, reminiscing.
Today her family was moving to Jacksonville. Although she had known of this fact for months, it still didn’t seem to set in her mind. But now it was becoming reality. Alannah’s flat stomach growled angrily at her and she decided it was time to get up. She strode across her room and looked into her mirror. A smile crept onto her face, she couldn’t help it. Although she had to leave her home in Biggar behind, she was excited for something fresh and new.
She quickly moved herself down the stairs and into the kitchen. Her father offered her a plate and she gave him a quick hug, “Morning Dad” she said softly. It was because of her father’s job that they were having this big move. Blaine hoped his daughter and wife didn’t resent him for it, but he knew he was over thinking and could tell they didn’t in any aspect. Alannah carried her plate gracefully to the oak wood kitchen table and sat across her mother. She gave her mother a goofy grin and threw a piece of bacon into her mouth. ‘Today is the day!’ she thought again, but with excitement this time.
