[/COLOR][/B]: The first thing you notice about Merrick is her jet black hair that's naturally curly, but she does straighten it from time to time just for something different. It's amazing how much someone can change by simply straightening their hair, but it's almost like she's a whole other person. She wears makeup but she has learnt the whole "less is more" and sticks to earthy tones. She hates wearing bright colors, most of her wardrobe is dark earthy tones as well, but she does at least wear enough color that she's not considered a goth (or anything even close to that term). She has four tattoos: the french phrase c'est la vie on her right wrist, an ace of spades on her left hip, a wand and black magicians hat on her shoulder blade, and a lucky horse shoe right above her heart on her chest (you can see some of this tattoo depending on the cut shirt she wears). She doesn't mind wearing dresses, actually she feels rather confident when she wears them, but most of the time she's wearing form fitting jeans and shirts. She loves to show off her figure, but who wouldn't when they put so much time and effort into keeping it slim and trim? Her hair is usually down except for when she's working out, and when that happens it's usually just tossed back into a ponytail. She loves nail polish so you'll never see her nails bare, and usually she uses alternating colors (all fingers are never the same). She loves wearing heels as well, but if you're going on just comfort she's usually wearing sneakers. She has a very laid back style and likes to dress in whatever compliments her figure.
personality: Merrick gives off a very mysterious vibe, and she's all about asking questions and never giving answers. When she talks she is very heavy in the sarcasm, and sometimes people think she comes off as a bitch / brat. She is all about making deals and placing bets, but since her father is the owner of the local casino it's in her blood to want to bet all of the time, and she is very good at cheating so she can win no matter what. Her game is cards, her father has taught her how to count them and she's very good at playing, so it's safe to say that you're not going to beat her at the game. She tends to make things disappear, hence part of her being a "magician", so of course she's dabbled in theft and illegal conduct. She's not all about things illegal though and actually just enjoys magic, so she puts on shows for the local kids (she's really good at the bunny / hat trick). She does come off on very cocky though, but that's just the person she is, and if you can get past it you'll see that she has a heart of gold. She just barricades it under her thick skin. She is not a criminal, she's just made bad decisions, and it's pretty much the only thing keeping her in school. She doesn't like to rely on her family for much, and actually (though this is very hard to pull off) her father doesn't know that she's going to college, so she steals peoples money strictly to pay off college debts and for other things that she needs. The only thing her father does help her with is her own apartment, he thinks that since she's a woman she shouldn't have to live with her parents, and she couldn't be any prouder having a place to her own. She parties and has friends over for poker night, and of course she has those "intimate friends" that come over when she's needing them, but that's mostly just because she's a very social person! She's rather crazy and insane though with the magic tricks and gambling, but if you can get past all that she really is a hoot to have around.

dislikes: liars, cheaters (even though she is one), stealing from friends, the police, when her hair straightener is on the fritz, when her hair is in knots, not being in control of the situation, clingy people, prudes, people who have to justify all their actions, people who don't believe that magic is real, people that can't take a joke, when someone thinks they know whats best for her, being under twenty one so she can't legally go into her fathers casino, getting hit (it's happened before after a bad bet), drugs (she seems she'd be the type to love them but really hates them), stealing from the needy (she'll only take from you if you have enough to give), when she's constantly told what to do, not being alone when she's angry, romantic comedies that are so full of shit, when someone tells her they love her, and people that can't get out of their comfort zones and do something spontaneous and crazy every once in a while.
strengths: magic, counting cards, playing games, lying, cheating, stealing, gaining trust, using people, reading other people, pretending to be just what someone needs, never getting caught, sneaking around, manipulation and deceit.
weaknesses: gambling, rabbits (she's a magician and rabbits are cute so that's an obvious one), babies, las vegas, someone speaking french to her (makes her weak in the knees), a great pair of heels, nail polish, dancing, and a good game of cards (she can NOT refuse a game of cards).
