personality: Emerson is a geek, plain and simple. He loves Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, and plays video games constantly. However, he does have a cooler side, as he is able to play guitar and piano, and he's also an excellent songwriter and singer. Girls don't generally realize that straight away, though, and write him off as a geek right off and he is constantly stuck in the friend zone with almost every girl he's come in contact with.
He's a pretty smart guy, but does sometimes struggle with his schoolwork like any other student. He's also a bit of a closeted hopeless romantic, believing in love at first sight, soul mates, true love, and things of the like. He doesn't treat girls like trash and guys that do that disgust him. Still, he has had little to no experience with girls and his first and only kiss was on a dare last year.
He isn't a very daring guy and he's hesitant to try anything that seems even remotely dangerous. However, he is quite easily persuaded and can be talked into anything if the person has the dedication to do it. He's sensitive as well and when someone picks on him, it really stings him and sticks with him a long time, even though he tries not to let it bother him. He also falls for girls he sees as "out of his league" and is too chicken to go for it, even though he really wants to.
Emerson is quite shy at first, but is the most talkative person in the world once you get to know him. So talkative, in fact, that he sometimes says things he shouldn't and tries to talk himself out of the situation, only he makes things worse. He's way too trustworthy of everyone he comes across and it often leads to him getting hurt. When he's hurt, he tries to be tough but in all reality, he just wants to crawl into bed and sleep for hours and hours.
He's got every kind of humor under the sun. He can go from being sarcastic to juvenile to just plain childish. He loves to laugh and make people laugh, and he often succeeds. He's a dreamer and when he discusses his hopes, his eyes light up like a kid on Christmas. He's no pessimist and believes that all is possible. This also leaves him vulnerable to getting hurt, because when things don't work out all nice and pretty and instead fall through entirely, he falls apart quite easily. He just doesn't always understand the concept that the world isn't always black and white.
likes: Star Wars, video games, music, his guitar, songwriting, reading, when he just clicks with someone, cheesy movies, food, and feeling "the butterflies" with a girl he's only just met.
dislikes: being made fun of for his geek tendencies, cooking/baking (he burns everything he tries to make), writer's block, being in the friend zone, and being shy.
strengths: playing the guitar and piano, singing, writing, making people laugh, and his optimism.
weaknesses: his hesitance toward trying new things, too easily persuaded, too naive at times, has a slightly narrow minded view of the world, and is too sensitive to criticism.
