Well, here it is. The first day of school at Jackson High. I have been waiting for this day ever since I got the letter saying I was accepted. I step off the school bus and start to walk up to the school. I hear somebody from behind me call, "Hey, Zach."
I turn around and see my best friend, Drew from my old school walking up. I walk down to meet him.
"Hey, Drew. I didn't know you were going to Jackson."
He replied, "Yeah, I am. I was accepted a month ago."
We high-fived each other and start walking up to the school. I pull out my schedule and ask, "What classes do you have?"
He replied, "I have Geometry, Chemistry, World History, English 10, Health 2, Spanish 3, and Arts and Crafts. What about you?"
I look down at my schedule. "Wow, we have most of the same classes."
"Well, that's awesome. We might as well get into school before we're late. I'll see you in English." "OK."
We high-five and then we split up going to our separate lockers.
