His hair is a shade between dirty-blond and light brown and is kept shaggy, almost having a disheveled quality to it. Victor has a habit of running his hands through his hair when he's nervous and fidgety, making it even more messy in appearance. Victor's eyes are a bright, glacial blue, perpetually alight with a childlike happiness.
personality: Victor is one of those tragically nice boys who spends all of his time helping others with their problems [whether they be school related or relationship related] and hardly has the time to work out his own issues and follow his own advice. He trusts far too easily which usually ends with him getting emotionally hurt by those that he thought he knew and trusted.
He's an incredibly friendly and compassionate person, willing to get up and talk to anyone to make them feel comfortable and included. He's quite intelligent, making decent marks in class and being featured on the Deans List 3 semesters in a row.
Victor is an easy-going guy with a charming sense of humor, he's not like most of the guys in his class who only care about chasing skirts and bragging about how many girls they've slept with. Growing up with predominantly female friends, Victor has grown into quite a sweet and caring guy who is disgusted by the mistreatment of girls by shallow guys. He's rather protective of his female friends and even would go out of his way to protect someone that he doesn't particularly know, it's just the kind of guy that he is. However, this sort of behavior is the reason why he is perpetually in the "friend-zone" with all of his girl friends.

father: Andrew Hawthorne, 48, wedding photographer
siblings:
Olivia Hawthorne, 17, sister [Isabella's twin]
Isabella Hawthorne, 17, sister [Olivia's twin]
significant other (s): he's single
pets: Snowe, the cornsnake.
hometown: Birmingham, England
brief history:
Victor was born as the first child of Anna-Lee and Andrew Hawthorne on a rainy October night back in 1990 in the city of Birmingham, England. Anna-Lee and Andrew were a young couple who were excited to be starting a family of their own and making a life for themselves. They doted on little Victor and enjoyed bringing him with them wherever they went, spoiling him with affection and his favorite pastries.
They introduced him to soccer at a young age when his father took him to a field near their home one summer afternoon and showed Victor how to kick around a ball. Of course, to them the sport was called football [though later on in his life Victor would come to call it soccer so as not to confuse his American friends on what sport heâ's talking about]. Victor took an immediate liking to the game and would badger his father every chance he got to go out to the field to play football.
When he was 4 years old his twin sisters, Olivia and Isabella, were born, successfully cutting his and his father's playtime down to almost zero now that his sisters needed constant attention. Despite the fact that he was young, Victor understood that the new babies needed his parents full attention and he would often follow his mother and father around the house, observing the way they interacted and cared for the twins. As he got a little older he began to mimic those actions, helping his parents out with the care of his sisters. Even at a young age, Victor wanted to help people, starting with his parents and the babies and later moving on to the kids in his neighborhood and his primary school classes.
Victor became quite protective over his little sisters, always keeping a watchful eye on them whenever they played to ensure that no harm came to them. He liked the responsibility that came from having younger siblings, it made him feel like a grown-up even if he was only 6 years old.
When he turned 8 his parents signed him up for one of the local kids football teams where he made new friends with kids his age who shared that same fondness for the sport as he did. As he grew older he took on more and more responsibilities from caring to his siblings, to walking their new puppy, to maintaining a decent grade point average, and becoming the captain of his football team.
In school he was quite popular, but not in the way that you would think. He was popular with the ladies in that he had a lot of friends that were girls, they trusted him and appreciated his sensitivity and gentle kindness, however none of them viewed him as the type of boy that they'd want to date simply because he was too nice. He was always there to pick up the pieces whenever his girl friends had their hearts crushed by the mysterious bad boy that they had 'fallen in love with' that month, Victor was always the designated shoulder to cry on. Of course, he didn't mind this, he loved the feeling of being needed by his friends, he just hated seeing them upset and torn apart.
There was one girl that he was particularly close with, she was his best friend, the girl who lived within walking distance from his house, the girl who shared everything with him and vice versa, the girl who he fell in love with but never could muster up the courage to tell her how he felt. He spent years listening to her gush about the boys that she crushed on, years comforting her whenever she had her heart broken, and years wishing that he could just tell her his feelings. He never got the chance to tell her.
Shortly after his 18th birthday he and his family packed up and moved to the United States after his mother was given a permanent job as an Interior Designer for some high-end company. Victor tried his best to keep in touch with his best friend after the move by sending emails, text messages, phone calls, and even snail-mail but after a few months the letters and emails slowly began to wither until they stopped altogether.
Even now, in his 3rd year of college, he still thinks about the life he left behind in England as well as the girl that he had fallen for. He realizes that his life is here now and will admit that he's made quite a few friends that he cares deeply for, but every now and then he'll find his mind wondering to what ifs, what if he had told her how he felt? What would his life be like if he had? [/ul]

He chuckled, glad that she at least humored him and his childish notion of promising something through the linking of pinky fingers. Maybe he wasn’t the only one who still clung to silly childhood memories such as that one, though he’d never willingly admit it aloud, but he did sort of miss the days where his only worry was what game he was going to play with the other kids in the neighborhood. Though…those days of his childhood hadn’t lasted terribly long before he soon had to worry about transforming into a hideous monster once a month. It was an incredibly traumatizing experience, especially for someone as young as he had been when he was first bitten and it wasn’t a particular memory that he was fond of reminiscing.
Remus tilted his head to the side, his heightened hearing picking up on the comment that she had mumbled under her breath and he wasn’t sure whether it was meant for him, or if she was just musing aloud so he decided not to ask her about it. Though, he vaguely wondered why she found her lack of balance to be ironic, lots of people were clumsy and there was nothing wrong with that.
His lips twitched into a small smile and he inclined his head, nodding, “You’re right. I don’t understand why some people are so judgmental, we’ve all got the same biological makeup, for the most part. Someone may be different on the outside, but we’re all the same on the inside.†In his opinion, he believed that the world would be a far better place if everyone were more tolerant and accepting of one another. Though, of course, that wasn’t the case in the real world which was why he had to take extra precautions to hide who and what he truly was. It was a sad existence, but thankfully he had his friends to get him through it.
The young Gryffindor couldn’t stop the smile that painted his lips, his eyes crinkling at the corner in amusement at Juliet’s innocent behavior of tossing the leaves into the air and twirling beneath them. “Haha, I suppose you’re right. I should set some sort of limit to our games, make it so they can’t cheat. Those two like to gang up on me and I don’t find that very fair, how about you? I mean, Wor—Peter’s usually on my team, but he’s not really much help.†He frowned, remembering the last time it had snowed and Pads and Prongs had singled him out, pelting him mercilessly with snowballs while Peter hid behind a snow drift to escape sharing the same fate as Remus. Yeah, some help Wormtail was…
“Ugh, tell me about it! That man is completely nutters! Half the time I feel like even he doesn’t know what he’s talking about!â€
When they stopped walking, he was mildly surprised when she turned to face him, they were now tucked away in a secluded area of the lake and he wasn’t quite sure what she was doing, he found that she was a little difficult to read, emotion-wise, at the moment and that made him feel a little uneasy [especially since she had come so close to figuring out his secret just moments before!]
“I—uh—what?†He spluttered before laughing nervously, “Well, everyone’s different in their own ways. No two people are the same, if you really think about it. We’ve all got different interests and goals in life.†Remus didn’t like where this was going, he was a little afraid that she had figured everything out already and that was the purpose for them, subconsciously, being alone in such an isolated part of the lake, so that she could confront him about it…
