personality: If someone were to assign Gracelynne one of the seven deadly sins, hers would be pride. Gracelynne rarely asks for help, and but will accept it if she has no other options. Though she knows that she is not always right, she will certainly never openly admit to being wrong. She is so easily annoyed her first language seems to be sarcasm. That is the extent of her negative personality traits and, as bad as those may seem, the positive far outweighs the negative. She can entertain herself with such simple things as ketchup packets or loose change and is practically a grown kid, even going so far as being terrified of complete darkness, which is why a career in early childhood education would be perfect for her. She is very intelligent, almost nerdy. She loves languages, knows some Spanish, Japanese, and not to mention French. The only language besides English and sarcasm Gracelynne speaks fluently however is the seemingly dead language known as Pig Latin. She is admittedly a video game junkie with a preference for roleplaying games, though she doesn’t have much time to indulge anymore. She bonds quickly and is fiercely loyal.
likes: music, anything to do with the wizard of oz, having fun, dancing, family, taking pictures, cats, writing, reading, sushi.
dislikes: the dark, romantic movies, love songs, excessive heat or cold, white rice.
strengths: patient, excellent listener.
weaknesses: sarcastic.

pets: a cat named trystan.
hometown: williamsburg, virginia.
brief history: Gracelynne Cherie Bowden is the middle youngest of four children, all of which are no more than two years apart in age, except for the baby who is twenty-one years younger than Gracelynne. As such she was almost always overshadowed by her siblings. During her first year of high school, she was overshadowed by the return of her absentee father after nearly five years. Which she didn’t mind, but it gets so much worse. In her sophomore year of high school, when it was time for her to go to the first school dance she was willing to go to, her older sister became pregnant and she was unable to attend. When it came time for her senior class trip, her older sister became pregnant again and was unable to attend. When it came time for her senior prom, she was guilted into taking that older sister along with her because she’d had a child and had been unable to attend her own. Her younger sister stole the spotlight just as much, but…a different story for a different time. Even so, Gracelynne adores her sisters and baby brother. Her oldest brother, not so much. There is only one other person in her life that she holds as close to her as she does her siblings, her best friend Dylan. [/ul]

leighlah stood in way too long cafe line for the second time in one week. the white hot chocolate from this place was quickly becoming an addiction. it usually didn't take this long to get up to the counter, but for the second time this week the place was filled to bursting. what the hell? was everyone in seattle developing a liquified white chocolate addiction? there had better be some left for her when she got up there, damn it. leighlah sighed and shuffled her feet, impatience making her restless. she only exercised that virtue in the classroom. anywhere else and she was grossly lacking in that department.
she pulled her phone out of her pocket and checked the time, groaning once she confirmed that she'd been standing in this line for almost five minutes. she was used to coming and going, in more ways than one. ha! leighlah smiled at her secret joke and unlocked her phone. she might as well entertain herself while she waited. she had, like, six people to reply to in words with friends anyway. those poor bastards. didn't they know she was a word game champion?!
now that she was having fun her turn at the counter came all too quickly. someone tapped on her shoulder and she jumped, turning her head to look at the woman as she nodded for her to move forward. leighlah smiled apologetically and moved forward. she normally struck up a conversation with the barista, but it was too busy for that today. she placed her order and slipped the money over the counter, putting both her phone and the change she received back in the pocket of her coat. leighlah crossed her arms over her chest as she waited, chewing on her bottom lip just to be doing something. she stared down at her gray suede boots, bouncing up on the tips of her toes and then rocking back on her boots. god, this was boring!
she opened her mouth to sigh once again, but the server turned around and placed her order on the counter. leighlah thanked her and moved out of the way so that the next person could so. she put her gloves back on to protect her hands from both the winter chill outside and the heat of the cup. "finally." she murmured to herself as she picked up the cup and turned to leave the store. only, instead of walking away, she collided with a solid figure that had been standing right behind her.
