Usually working on her papers proved to be an easy, relaxing task for the natural writer, but today it was proving to be a hassle, no matter where she went, she’d discovered an audible amount of distraction from her task at hand. The paper was due in two days, and only five of the ten pages was completed, which bothered her more than usual, considering she’d only managed to write a paragraph in the last two hours, between her constant location jump. She’d tried nearly four different locals, from the coffee shop on campus, to Starbucks, to the park . . . an entire lost of locations, and still this job was proving impossible. It was as if every place she moved to became louder than the last. Teenagers from the local high schools were gathered in the different booths of Starbucks, coffees in hand, and enjoying the Saturday morning, where as Brielle was almost becoming desperate to just get another page of her paper written.
But with an almost inaudible sigh, Bri had given up on this location, just like many of the others, once more packing her laptop into her bag. She had one last hope of piece and quiet while she tried to finish up this paper. Returning to the line, she quickly ordered a caramel Frappuccino from the barista, waiting the few minutes it took for it to be completed, before taking it and quickly leaving the coffee shop. Drink in hand, and her bag looped over her right shoulder, the writer walked calmly to the closest bus stop, waiting the ten or so minutes for the bus to arrive, before riding it for the next 30 minutes back to the campus. As she stepped off, wincing at nearly another hour lost, and how quickly her day was being eaten up, Brielle started for the campus library, determined to find some sort of place where there would be enough silence for her to finish this paper. And what better place to look, then a library? It was practically a law to be silent in one, so the likely hood that she’d continue to be bothered seemed nearly non-existent, which meant she should hopefully be able to get a good few pages of the paper done. She quickly found a table, setting her drink down, and opening her laptop once more.
Immediately the screen flickered on, two word documents appearing side by side, one being her paper the other the pages of notes she’d typed up a few nights before. It was no joke that she had everything she needed for the assignment already up and ready to go. She’d been researching for nearly two weeks now, to ensure that she had all the information she would need for the subject matter of the paper, not that it was the most interesting information that is. It’s difficult to pick a topic to write about when it has to be with in your field, and with an intended major of journalism, and creative writing, it was even harder to figure out a suitable material to write on. Luckily, a fellow English geek had suggested a paper on the influence that a newspaper can hold over individuals, and after a bit of playing around, Brielle had discovered the topic to indeed be rather interesting. But it was providing hazardous to her mental state; what with all the time she was taking just to write it up. Luckily, the library was just what she needed. Quiet, secluded, she could really get to working. She began typing, occasionally scrolling through her list of notes to find the best way to present a point, and was just getting started with the second paragraph of page eight when once again a loud, and intense amount of noise proved to break her concentration.
Brielle looked up to see a bunch of hooligans laughing and misbehaving, ignoring the librarian on duty. Sighing, Brielle attempted to keep working, before ultimately giving up, packing her bag, and finding an empty cubicle to work in. Opening the door, she stepped into the room, keeping the lights dimmed, as she set up her workstation for what felt like the umpteenth time since she decided to work on the paper that morning. Finally in a secluded, quiet room, she had just began typing when the door suddenly opened, causing Brielle to squeak in surprise as she turned, wide eyed, to the intruder.

don't know what you need , Daisy had been thinking of Victor all day, she couldn’t get him out of her head. The reason for this was because she had a date with another guy. She couldn’t work out why she was thinking about her best friend like this, it was so weird, they had known each other forever and somehow it was wrong...but it was right at the same time. she had been over it in her head and knew it didn’t really make sense, or thought others wouldn’t understand her but it made sense to her, and wasn’t that the main thing? Ok that was enough. She needed to get ready for college. She was planning on going to the library for a couple of hours before classes and she wasn’t even dressed yet. She sighed looking at the clock. Why did she have to go to school? It wasn’t as if she didn’t enjoy it because that wasn’t the issue. No, the issue was that she just wanted to sleep. A night of no rest because she was thinking of someone she could never have was no fun and resulted in her being absolutely exhausted and not really interested in going to college. Unfortunately her brother was around to make her go.
Are you going to tell me what’s wrong with you? I mean you normally love going to college and all that shit he said Nothing is wrong, don’t worry...I just didn’t really get much sleep last night she sighed. You know, if work is stressing you out I can try help, don’t know a lot about fashion but I could try he chuckled. Thanks for the offer bro but I really don’t think you can help me...besides that’s not the case she said Anyway, I’m late, gotta go get sorted she said running off leaving her brother in the dark, wanting to know more questions. She jumped in the shower quickly then got dressed and managed to get all her stuff sorted. When she came back out into the main room it was such a relief to find that her brother had gone to work, she didn’t want to face more questioning from him, at least not today....she really couldn’t face it because on top of everything she just wanted to try and concentrate on getting some work done, she needed to get work done otherwise why was she even here?
She had to take the bus which sucked, her brother usually brought her in if they were going in at the same time but today he had left a note telling her he had to run, but he’d left money for her to take the bus. He really didn’t need to do that, Daisy knew she was lucky he was like that though. Not many siblings would do that for one another...it was in fact very rare. She finally arrived in college and headed straight to the library. She spent a little time looking for some books she could use for her work....the development of fashion through the years and how previous decades influence the fashion of today. Well she had a pretty good idea what to write but of course she needed help. She looked around and rolled her eyes at the kids messing around. Once she had gathered the books she needed, Daisy looked around for a quiet area to work. She sighed as she realised that there wasn’t much area free. This is so annoying, as if this many kids actually want to study she rolled her eyes. How seriously lame. She went over to the other side of the library where she knew the cubicals were and opened the door to one of them. She was surprised to see her best friend looking up at her, wide eyed. Brie, hey how’s it going? she asked You don’t mind if I sit do you? she asked, sitting opposite the girl and leaning over to give her a hug. I swear you won’t even know I’m here she said with a nod. After a couple of minutes Daisy looked up at her friend. Ok so I know I told you that I would be quiet and you wouldn’t know I was here but I really need to get something off my chest and tell someone.... she said to her seriously.

She smiled, shrugging delicately with her shoulders, “Nothing, trying to complete a paper that’s due pretty soon.” She admitted, nodding to the laptop she had previously been typing on. You don’t mind if I sit do you? She asked, sitting down before leaning in to giving Brielle a hug, one that she willingly returned, I swear you won’t even know I’m here. Brielle shrugged, her shoulders moving up and down slightly, “Not at all. Feel free. Though you’ll have to help me turn away any of your admirers that try to follow you.” Bri said, her tone completely teasing.
Silence filled the room them, as Brielle returned to her paper, typing once again. She’d managed to complete a paragraph in the small moment of silence before Daisy looked up at her. Brielle glanced up, as her friend began to speak, her tone obviously serious, almost heavily so, Ok so I know I told you that I would be quiet and you wouldn’t know I was here but I really need to get something off my chest and tell someone… Confused, Brielle held up a single finger, before looking at her computer, saving the document containing her paper, and shutting the laptop then putting it away. Returning her gaze towards her best friend, she gave her a serious, attentive look, “Alright, what’s going on, Daisy?” She asked, a half frown on her face, as she watched her friend curiously. “What’s got you so serious?”
Brielle couldn’t remember the last time she saw Daisy like this, so intense and serious. She watched her friend, gently leaning back in her chair. Shifting slightly, before finding herself comfortable. Brielle waited, her expression a mix of curiosity and concern as she watched Daisy, wondering what exactly this was all about. Wondering what it was her best friend was about to unload on her. The Aussie couldn’t help but be curious either, it wasn’t often that her best friend was like this. She watched quietly, her arms crossed over her stomach, tilting her chair back, and waited patiently, her curiosity constantly growing.
