Since our second anniversary the staff have been thinking of ways to change X up and make him more of a staple to the game. We understand that his account hasn't been used a lot lately, but that is all about to change! His writer will be updating more, which i'm sure you'll all be thrilled to find out! The following are just a few updates that are going to happen around the X blog. - ONCE A MONTH - a free for all nobody is safe post! This should be a long one that people will enjoy reading. The writer has agreed to take tidbits all throughout the month and stock pile them into a single post that will be full of information. The more active this place is the writer has even agreed to up this posting limit, but until then they have told us to expect at lease one a month.
- ONCE A WEEK - x is going to be posting a weekly blog for the top five posting characters in that said week. Their threads will be pulled apart like only X can do and molded into a nice little post that'll get people talking. If you want your character to be apart of his weekly blog all you need to do is post in character. X's writer has final decision on who they think are the most active, and from there a post will be up during the weekend. This does not mean that only five people can be mentioned, especially if another person is involved in the plot, but these posts will be significantly shorter and more focused on just a few characters.
- AWARDS - x is going to be coming out with their own sets of awards and those will be listed at the same time that the usual awards go up on the sidebar. No, these are not going to be like the awards that are on the sidebar, but instead they're going to add their own twist to make them fun and exciting. There are no nominations in these categories but if you have any ideas of what category you'd like to see X is all ears. PM their account and they'll add it.
- MICRO-X - as you have all noticed the sidebar now has the x blog on it, so starting this weekend X is going to start making micro-updates about things that are going on. They might mention someone alone (IE. open thread that'd need replying to) to a group or couple in a single thread. Remember that these are through twitter so can not be very long, hence the micro-update term, but whatever is mentioned on the sidebar will get more of an update in the actual blog.
- EVENT BLOGGING - Paris' house part and the Masquerade event are going to get their specific blogs because they're the main events around Jacksonville right now. Once an event goes up X is going to create a special post for that event and will "live blog" throughout it. What that means is when a thread moves forward X will make an "update" to inform the people about any of the new information. They will not go into detail because obviously X is not in the middle of every thread, but they'll give whatever information they can that will be public knowledge. Plus if other people send X information that'll get thrown in.
- CONTEST POLLS - This is going to sound ridiculous because it is IC, but X is going to throw competition polls out there just to have a little fun between posts. He's going to make ridiculous questions up and pin characters against each other, and once the poll is closed he might even go as far as the crown the winner [graphic or post]. It'll be fun if people let loose and enjoy!
You're going to notice that the X blog's activity picks up a lot more starting this weekend, and we hope that with X getting more active so will all of our members. The more you post the more X will post! They're going to pick the five most active characters a week and write a post specific to them and their thread partners. For the less active you're going to have to wait until the end of the month to read a post specific to your character, so if you want to be a more frequent name in his blog that means your activity needs to increase. The sidebar is going to be hit with micro-posts when X seems fit. All these things are going to make X an exciting feature to the game. The writers asks, as always, that people send in any/all gossip that they have for the posts written!
