During high school Kennedy and Rodney were the complete opposite. She was an attention whore, captain of the cheerleading squad, and he was the quiet type that kept to himself and enjoyed the simpler side of life. You'd never think these two would wind up together, so when Kennedy started to crush and pursue a relationship with him people took notice. He was untrusting at first but eventually let her in, and the pair fell in love during their two years together.

Everything was seemingly perfect until Kennedy started sneaking around with a basketball player named Lance. There was something about him that Kennedy could not get out of her mind, and after months the two slept together at a basketball conference in Florida (where they're both from). She ended up pregnant and that is when everything turned upside down. She was ashamed and hid it from Rodney for as long as she could. That only worked until she started to show, and the day she told him everything was the day she knew she'd broken his heart. She obviously couldn't lie and say it was his when they'd never slept together could she?

Rodney ended up packing his bags and his family shipped him off somewhere (to stay with relatives). That was during their senior year of high school, so he would have been around 17 or 18, and she has not seen him since. She has tried getting in touch with him through letters, but he has never written any back. That brings us to the present, Rodney would be new to the city (having only lived her a couple of months) since he got his first teaching job at Jacksonville Prep. Kennedy works at Jacksonville High (the rival school) so both being in the same place they're bound to run into each other sooner than later!

It pretty much sets itself up for drama because this line can go in ANY direction. He could hate her, still love her, be married to someone else, divorced, or anything else you'd like since that part is entirely up to you! Since the affair Kennedy feels horrible and thinks about him frequently, he was her first love afterall, but since she hasn't seen or heard from him in so long there's nothing she can do. Well, once she figures out who he is when they run into each other things are going to get fun! Everyone knows that true loves are hard to get over, so when they see each other all these feelings are going to flood back into her system (it's up to you if that happens with him).

She'd be deadset on changing his opinion of her, since obviously she'd think it was terrible after what she did, but depending on how you make him that might not be the case at all. It's going to be a struggle for her but i'd love for him to forgive her, and where it goes from there is up to you. The two could become romantically involved somehow, or he could simply write her off and tell her to forget about him. Mostly everything is up to you about him since a lot can change in 7-8 years, but his first name Rodney has to stay the same as well as he's a teacher at Jacksonville Prep. Sounds like a fun storyline right? Please someone take it for me!
