We've been thinking about it for a little while but aren't sure if it's something we should do around here or not. The hardest OTM to award is couple otm though since we never know everyone who is together. That is why last month we didn't even have one because we couldn't figure out a single couple around here (other than the previous winners who can't win twice in a row). That being said should we make a claim so we can keep track of the relationships around here? It'd be something along the lines of:
AUBREY JENKINS is in a relationship with DARIUS WHITFIELD MERRICK BRADFORD is single CARTER ANDREWS is single
Well you get the point. We'd of course alphabetize and put the males and females in different categories to make it neater, but it'd be a quick glance sheet for people wondering who's dating who.
Yay or Nay?

Yay. Though I feel for the couple otm it doesn't have to be an actual real couple officially just like two people who have been getting closer or close and stuff like that it heck crack pairings xD

Oh we agree 110% with that and have actually done it many times in the past with people who weren't "dating" but we just loved their dynamic! It's always funny because the writers would say "but they're not even dating yet?" and get confused that we'd given them the award lol. LOVE CRACK PAIRINGS can't help it they're so fun. This claim would be more just technicality for if we get stumped. We only give one award to someone a month so as many can get on sidebar as possible, so by the time all the other awards are handed out we're not left with many -- which would be the only thing this would come in handy for.

I like the idea of couple otm not being two that are actually a couple all of the time. That might be because I have no character that'd jump into a relationship anytime soon so i'd like to think i'd have a chance at the award if/when I had a dynamic duo. A lot of characters aren't quick to jump into relationships i'm noticing around here so it works out better I think. I just think that to be couple otm you should have some chemistry (more than friendship because there's an award for that already). I can see where it could be difficult to keep track of all the potential relationships around a large game! [/justify]

Sounds like you understand what we're looking for, as we don't need people to be in a relationship to win the award. But it would be helpful to have some kind of list since there have been times we've had to pick awards ourselves and aren't sure who should get the award. I'm sure you can realize how looking through every thread to find one would take some time as we'd have to read like every post to see who has chemistry. So we're just asking for help here, like if you think your charrie has good chemistry with someone you can pm an admin and nominate them for the award. We're just asking for help around here.

My first thought was "what's the point of that?", ngl, but then when I read about the OTM problem I was won over. I think it makes a lot of sense. I voted 'yes'.
The one problem with it is that, like real life, character relationships aren't always that black-and-white. Maybe as well as "so-and-so is in a relationship with so-and-so" you could have "so-and-so is involved with so-and-so" (or similar) as another option if they aren't officially ~together IC but are together enough to potentially be nominated for the OTM? Basically the 'it's complicated' option.

ngl, it sounded like a ridiculous idea for even the staff but the past couple of times we've had to pick otm's (since nobody nominates) it's been hard as hell to find someone (and couple seems to be the last otm that's thought of since all the others are so easy). Glad you guys are all understanding!
As for the black and white "in a relationship" or not it's going to be a little more than just that. Haha, that was just a quick "I gotta throw an idea up" type thing. It'd sort of be like facebook style i'd have to say. You'd have "it's complicated" as a major one. I was thinking we could have couples that are "on a break" or "pursuing so and so". We can have some fun with the claim just because it is SO ridiculous, so we'd have to make it a little fun for it to be something that actually works.
