[/COLOR][/B]: Clean and tidy, that's how he is. With a neat patch of brown hair on the top of his head, typically styled with mousse or hair gel, he tries to look professional the majority of the time. Big brown eyes stare out beneath his dark eyebrows, and they always have this tint of humor, as if he finds everything he sees humoring. His own inside joke, so to speak. Although, under his eyes is the first hint that he's not entirely perfect. Somewhat, dark circles underline his eyes, showing how he can't sleep at night. Being an optimistic, cheerful guy, there's always a charming smile on his face. Underneath his smile, there's another indicator that he isn't as well kept as he'd like to be. Shaun is hardly ever clean shaven, and typically has a stubble of a beard and mustache. Liking the look on him, he keeps it even though it stops him from being as tidy as he'd like to be. Taking a step away from physical features, his wardrobe is also quite professional. Working an office job, he's required to wear a suit and tie to work, and is hardly ever seen outside of a suit besides weekends, where he stays inside with his home clothes which consists of plain t-shirts and shorts.

personality: Social, extroverted, and a great public speaker, it's no question that Shaun is a people person. Ever since high school, he had easily gotten along with others. Put him in a crowd of strangers, give him thirty minutes, and he'll come out with new friends. He's witty and acts on first instinct. Not the type for hesitation, he jumps to react, so oftentimes, he's careless. He's straight forward, to the point, not liking to dodge around the bushes. Though he's kind, friendly, and outgoing, he's easily pissed off. Frustration comes to him as easily as speaking publicly does. In high school, he used to play football in order to take out the anger, but now he has nothing but. He's not very good at understanding others, though he's great at speaking to them. When someone is upset at him, he can't figure out why or what to do to make it better. It seems as though he can fix anything but his own problems. It's difficult to say that he's good with women, considering he has practically only been with one his entire life, so I doubt he really understands or gets women. He's hardly romantic, because as said before, he just doesn't get women. You want roses? He'll get you daisies. You want a diamond ring? He'll give you a silver one. Hopeless!

brief history:
Driving home from work, the laughter of high school students penetrated the glass windows of his car, and circled into his ears. He watched them as they walked across the street, laughing, no worries, no bills to pay. Ah, high school. Those were the golden days for him, when everything seemed to fit together. Shaun remembered laughing at the very idea of high school being the time of his life whenever an adult would tell him this notion. Now looking back, he could do nothing but agree.

His immediate reaction when he pulled into the driveway of his small home was to climb up into the attic and pull out his yearbook from his senior year of college. Only nine years old, the yearbook was hardly ancient, but felt musty beneath his fingers. One gesture, and the book was open in front of him and he let himself jump back to what used to be.

A smiley, younger, eighteen year old Shaun grins up at the older reflection of Shaun, with his arm around a much smaller blonde girl. Both so happy. Flip to the football page, and there the curious, younger Shaun was again. Read the caption, and it says Shaun Warner, runnerback for Varsity, senior. The real, breathing Shaun eyes the picture, remembering the feel of the turf beneath his cleats, and the cheers of the crowd, the calls of the quarterback... What he would give to be on that field again, to feel the adrenaline rush through his veins as he catches the football and runs, runs with all his might to leave all others behind, to the endzone.

Flip the next page, and there's the blonde from the first picture. Cheer outfit on, a big toothy grin on her face. Yes, this was Katharine, the ex-love of Shaun's life. Who was that younger Katharine, and that younger Shaun? And why did Shaun hold himself so differently in these older pictures than the current one that views them? Allow me to tell you.

Shaun Nathaniel Warner, runnerback of Jacksonville Prep, vice-president of Student Council. He had it all. Smart, athletic, attractive. Well, it seemed at the time. Shaun felt invincible in high school, felt like there was great things to come for him, that he would end at the top. He had the best girlfriend he could ever ask for, Katharine, a cheerleader. They were, I dare say, the typical football and cheerleader couple. Katharine and him had dated since she was a sophomore, and him a junior. They graduated still dating, attended college still dating. It seemed as if they were meant to be, as if they were star-crossed lovers.

He was an intelligent teenager, and quite ambitious. He was an active member of debate and felt that that class was his arena, his home, his safehouse. Thus, he indulged himself in the world of politics, of law, of the court, telling himself that in due time, he would become the greatest lawyer known to man. After graduating high school, he quickly attended Jackson State University for undergrad before going to Law school.

But tragedy struck. Katharine turns twenty, Shaun twenty-one, and Katharine brings Shaun some birthday news. She's pregnant. Though not as drastic as having a teen mom, considering she just ended her last teen year, she knew that bringing shame to her family for having premarital sex was too much to bear. So Shaun and Katharine get hitched as soon as possible to cover up her pregnancy. Knowing that raising a family was quite more important than becoming a lawyer, he ditched his dreams of attending law school and changed his major to business.

Four years later, they have a beautiful, beautiful four-year-old daughter named Lily. Shaun would give anything for Lily, would give his own arm for her. He could never blame his dear Lily for crushing his dreams of becoming a lawyer. But Katharine? Oh no, Katharine wasn't safe. He began blaming Katharine, telling her that she was the reason that he ended up so unhappy working this office job instead of speaking in the courts. They began arguing more and more, and suddenly, Katharine and Shaun couldn't take it any longer, and they divorced. Now they have been divorced for almost two years.

Snapping back to reality, Shaun closed the yearbook and rubbed his face with his hands. He remembered clearly the pissed off faces of his parents when he announced the divorce to them. "Marrying so young? That leads to divorce," they had tell him. If only he had listened.

I loved reading this characters history the way you had it written! I was so impressed and captivated through the entire blurb. You're a very impressive writer!
