He didn’t have the easiest past, which could be a reason why he is how he is but he isn’t willing to talk about that. He isn’t really in a chit chatting mood ever; he’ll engage in conversation but only if it’s in his interest. He’ll brush of people if he doesn’t want to listen to what they have to say. But he doesn’t always need to use his words to get a rise out of someone, which is favorite thing to do. Derek loves to cause drama in other people’s lives and he loves to get them mad at him; he enjoys being hated by everyone. He moved from Massachusetts when he was going into his freshman year so he’s had plenty of time to cause people at Jacksonville to hate him. Or to know they can come to him if they want someone to stir up trouble, if his reputation does proceed him. FRIENDS I don’t see Derek having very many friends, seeing as he’s always rubbing people the wrong way. He also doesn’t like to let anyone in because he has trust issues but I could see some frenemies type deal going on. He would be up for tolerating people if it benefited him somehow because he is always looking out for number one. However there can be certain situations where he might trust one or two people but that is very limited and would need to be talked about and I would be picky about who he gets close to, because he wouldn’t just let anyone in; not even they were nice to him. It would probably be someone he went to school with for all four years because it would have to build up. Derek might also allow someone to be his partner in crime but that doesn’t mean they’re friends just two people who get in trouble together, work on plans to cause drama, and other such things along those lines. LOVERS While it’s no secret Derek has been quite the womanizer and doesn’t allow himself to get attached to any of the women he’s had flings, or one night stands, with the girl that’s made him work for it managed to get him to care about her. He’s not sure how or why but for some reason Aubrey Jenkins puts up with his endless crap and still sticks around; she even said yes to being his girlfriend. Being in a real relationship is something new and scary for him, everyday he’s sure he’ll fuck it up and she’ll leave him but he is trying. Though he can’t help but still flirt with other women; even if he is focused on Bree he can’t stop that part of him that flirts up other women, which could very well lead to problems. But he cares for her more than he’s care for anyone and doesn’t want to see her hurt, which is why he’s sure she’d be better off without but he doesn’t want her to leave; you can see the kinds of problems this could cause. If you have any ideas for some good drama to shake up his and Bree’s relationship let me know, and you me and Heather(she plays Bree) can discuss. Otherwise I don’t see him trying to pursue any other women; seeing as he’s not normally the relationship type he wouldn’t go jumping into another one so quickly when the one he’s in already has him a bit scared. And that does apply to future too, so if you got anything from his past though that’d be fine. Past flings, one night stands, crazy women who couldn’t take the hint and want back in his life now. ENEMIES Safe to say Derek will have so many enemies he won’t know what to do with himself. He loves to get under people’s skin and start problems. And having been in Jacksonville since he was fourteen he’s probably pissed a lot of people off; not really sure what plots will come up for this but I hope they’re interesting and fun. Derek will be more than willing to keep anyone on their toes guessing as to what his next move is. ANYTHING ELSE Well this seems pretty self-explanatory, anything not named above goes here. I don't know about whether they'd be friends, or enemies or what. Hex is a few years older, at 23, and she's a cop with a bad past from her days in a gang, but she's definitely likely to go to him on his mechanic skills. She has issues with loving super fast, super hot black cars. She gets them for free from her brother, and is pretty good at getting them working pretty well, but perhaps he could help her get the all jacked up and turned into the most awesome hot rod cars? Other than that, she's a detective, basically, with an attitude issue, and a problem with partying and having fun (left over from her gang days), so I'm pretty sure that beyond cars they'd clash quite a bit, but maybe you have some ideas? Or we could just randomly throw them in a thread and see what happens?

Oh man this is just hurting my brain thinking about it, because Derek is no fan of the law by any means; he has his own history with law enforcement, some of which happened in Jacksonville. So I’m all he’d want to hate her purely because she’s the fuzz, but then she’s this attractive woman that is into cars and he’d find incredibly hot. I mean hell the boy would show off his baby to her the second he knew she had a thing for black cars; it just so happens to be restored(all by him, with help from his grandfather before he passed) 67 shelby GT 500 Mustang. So all I can say is….WHY YOU DO THIS TO ME?!?!??!?!

This tough decision. This just might have to be one of those play by ear relationships, I mean I know he’d lovelike her for multiple reasons but then he’d always remember she’s able to take him in if she ever finds a reason to. Thankfully he’s not smuggling cars or using illegal parts or any such things along those lines at least he’s being honest so far, never know in the future. Though I can see him helping people out around town for cash, seeing as there is now a racing scene in town and Derek would be more than happy to help the rich kids tune up their cars to take each other on.

But that has very little to do with them, very little. He has his own attitude problem and he loves a good party, so it’s rather funny how if she didn’t have ties to the force they might actually be something along the lines of friends. Derek being as stubborn as he is might not ever call her that but the man can live in denial all he wants, he always does.

He’d love to help her work on her cars, and he’d flirt as he always would dating or not he’s always going to be a flirtatious guy. Between her job and the type of girl she is though she’s gonna have his head spinning, gonna have to say lovelike/hate relationship. Or frenemies if that’s a better way to put it; hopefully this all made sense it hurt my head thinking about it.

hmm, i can see her being cool with him, but more along the reasons that she's still very much the gang banger she was when she was younger, except now she's allowed to carry a gun. but frenemies should work, and she'd be totally into his car to. I can so see her constantly asking to drive it, even if just around the block. But anyways. I can definitely see them having this frenemies like/hate relationship. And possible party buddies, because Hex refuses to be a cop while she's partying, she's having to much fun getting fucked up. lol. So shall we thread 'em soon?
