personality: dan can come across as a bit arrogant and a bit offensive, but he just likes to joke about. he's quite stubborn, and won't believe something until he sees it. he loves teasing people, but never really means any harm. with a bit of an adventurous side to him, he lives by the motto that "you only live once", and likes to keep an optimistic outlook on everything. overall, he's just a teenager who likes partying and having a laugh.
likes: joking around; making friends; pushing the boundaries of rules; music; and little dogs.
dislikes: schoolwork of pretty much every kind; people who can't take jokes; not being allowed to do something; being proved wrong; people who can't think for themselves; citrus fruits.
strengths: he's very outspoken and will stand up for himself and others. he's got a fairly good singing voice, and he's good at getting to know people.
weaknesses: daniel does come across as a bit cocky and loud at first, especially if he's tipsy. his stubbornness holds him back sometimes, because he doesn't like to admit he's wrong. as well as that, sometimes people can dislike him for how strongly opinionated he is.

It was just his luck, to get caught in a fairly heavy downpour when he was still unsure about everything on the school’s campus. Sure, he’d been there for a couple months now, but he’d never taken a moment to look around the place - and, naturally, he was far too stubborn to ask for help. So, the senior had resorted to finding the best ‘shelter’ he could - a maple tree. It grew just outside the fields, and wasn’t very much shelter whatsoever, really. And, if he was honest, the shelter was closer to the soccer pitches than he was comfortable with, but there wasn’t any other shelter immediately close by.
Perching on one of the roots to avoid the majority of mud, the seventeen year old glanced listlessly around the surrounding fields, huddling underneath the fairly bare branches of the tree. He hated the rain. It made him cold, made everything dark and wet, and most annoyingly, it messed up his hair. He lifted a hand self consciously to his dark brown hair, wrinkling his nose at the droplets of rain clinging to every single strand. He longed for a nice hot shower, and time to himself. But he still had no clue where his dorm was - where the dorms were, at all, actually.
Huffing loudly, Aaron scanned the soccer fields again, this time noticing a figure by himself on one of the muddy pitches. His curiosity made him glance up, scrutinising the person. It was a guy, that was for sure, albeit very skinny and fairly petite. Tilting his head, he watched the boy play soccer by himself. That confused him a little - who on earth would want to be outside in the pelting rain, kicking some stupid ball around? Soccer, and most sports confused him generally, anyway. Especially the solitary ones and stuff… they just had no point whatsoever.
After a few moments, Aaron felt a shiver pass through him and glanced down at himself. It was only now he realised just how wet he’d gotten from the falling rain. Since he hadn’t expected the innocent drizzle to be anything more than that, he wasn’t wearing a jacket, just a shirt that clung to his skin from the continuing downpour, and his usual pair of skinny jeans. Well, there was no point trying to stay dry anymore; the senior shivered again, hugging himself lightly. Stupid weather, deciding to just rain like this. It was ridiculous.
As he looked up again, he realised with a groan that the boy he’d seen practicing soccer was approaching him. Oh, god, some annoying idiot pestering him was the last thing he wanted right now. Shaking his drenched brown bangs away from his eyes, he huffed again, waiting for his impending fate.
Eventually, the boy approached him, and Aaron took the chance to look him over again. Younger than him, but not by much, he reckoned. And he was pretty cute, there was no point denying it. The seventeen year old wouldn’t have minded another glimpse at him when he wasn’t caked in mud and freezing cold.
Still, as good looking as the guy was, Aaron was still in no mood to socialise in any form at all. He didn’t say a word, but visibly stiffened when he heard the lighter haired student sit down behind him. Dammit, could he not recognise that the older teenager wasn’t looking for conversation? Sighing mentally, the senior half glanced at the boy again, wrinkling his nose at the offered umbrella.
“No,” he muttered gruffly. “Why the hell are you trying to talk to me?” His words would’ve had more effect had his voice not been thick with a cold he was undoubtedly developing from the sit in the rain, but he hoped that he at least sent the message across: he didn’t want to fucking make friends.
