The mayors committee is honored to invite you to their semi-annual it must be an election year Black and White Ball. This formal event will be held at the Hilton this year, and it all starts out with your chance to walk the red carpet. Photographers will be lined up to take your photos to give you that glamorous feeling before walking through the door. Once inside there are three bars, two ballrooms open for dancing (accompanied by a different DJ in each), and a silent auction (all proceeds go towards the mayors electoral fund).
WHAT SHOULD YOU WEAR? Each ticket to the event comes with a black mask that you can decorate to suit yourself. They ask that the dresscode stay black and white, but we do not forbid you to wear another color.
WHEN IS IT? The event takes place the weekend after Thanksgiving, the 26th of November, and you can start walking the red carpet at 7:00PM. Photos will be taken until 8:00PM and are available at 12:00AM when people start going home. Tickets are available now and can be purchased at all the major outlets around the city, but if you wait and purchase them that night you'll be charged an additional fee.
WHO SHOULD YOU ASK? This is where it gets fun! For the next week the mayors office will help you ask the person of your dreams! Just drop their name off along with that twenty dollar charge to the mayors office and they'll do the rest of the work for you. The person of your choosing will then receive a ticket, mask, and bunch of roses at their door step. You can personalize a greeting or ask for the generic one, and that note will be attached to the gifts along with your name.

( HOW THIS WORKS ) [/font] I thought that this could be a fun idea, but we're going to need people to get involved in it of course. For this one week we're going to let you guys choose who you would like to attend the dance with you, and when you figure out someone all you need to do is PM the admin account with that persons name. You can write a small note (from your character to theirs), and from there we'll send it via PM to the other person (for their formal invitation). Just to make it fun we're going to be adding to this thread the people and their invitations (personal notes and all). This thread is OOC and purely fun to see what the people are doing around the community, so please if something is written here don't have your character know (unless if it's written to that specific character). This is just fun and to keep track of the dates for this coming event. So please, PM the admin account with a name and/or a personal message and we'll start having fun with this! I'd like to see at least half of our community paired up, so don't hesitate to start "asking". This thread will show both the invitation as well as the persons answer.
