WE NEED EVENT IDEAS!

IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU ARE TO US, we need your help!
The game has been open for a year and nine months (a LONG time in the rp world), and we're trying to think of awesome events that'll keep people interested and coming back for more! We usually like to do one event a month, but for the past couple of months we haven't had anything (because we had a big event going on). Now that the other event is coming to a close we need more to keep momentum going, so that's where you guys come in! This board is guest friendly for those who do not have an account, and those with an account can either reply here or PM one of the staff (doesn't matter how you let us know your ideas). We're looking for things that you'd find interesting enough to get involved with! It can be ANYTHING that you want as long as it's fun and something a group can do! Does not have to be for ENTIRE game, can be for the different groups (like high school, college, locals) so please be specific! Here's your chance to be heard!

I got a couple ideas, one that may seem a little jokey and very futuristic LOL

ONE: Cal and Lynette's wedding LOL (This may happen and don't you dare call me deluded LMAO)

TWO: Jackson High is hit by a spate of attacks on students and teachers, with varying numbers of suspects, and one final revelation of the attacker, who in fact, has been twisting residents around his/hers fingers for quite a while (Sorry, not a weirdo, I just like horror/thriller films, and figured, as a kind of soap type RP site, a plot like this may be quite a good thing, and of course, I am more than willing to sacrifice characters, say the attacker should turn to "murderer")

I know Halloween's over and done with now, but fancy dress/costume events are always fun anyway. The other thing I was going to suggest was something for Guy Fawkes night, but then I realised obviously that's not celebrated in the US (I think!)! otherwise, stuff I've seen on other sites that's worked well has been the high-stress trapped-in-a-building type stuff - like due to snow, or on the more dramatic end of things, armed robbery. that kind of thing. another thing that can be really good is like... blind dates and stuff, although obviously that's more of a Valentine's event... just anything that forces characters together who wouldn't meet otherwise, you know?

CALLUM -- I thought it was funny you'd mention that you're not weird for the horror genre reference! The staff have been thinking about a murder mystery of some sort for quite some time, but we have never really been able to figure out how to pull it off. I think it's great you'd be willing to sacrifice characters except for Callum because we need his and Lynette's wedding hehe, but i'm not sure we'd want to go that far because the thing with having a killer is if that person goes inactive we're screwed (unless it's an admin that we know can't go inactive due to their responsibilities). I have been on a scream rpg before (which was fun as hell) so I know how thrilling an attack / murder based game can go, so we're definitely still trying to work that out! Once we figure out the kinks we should start something (because it's the one thing that's said over and over when we think hah).

QUINN -- I really wish we would have done something for Halloween, but with the activity check and a hiatus for most of us we never did get something up. Since we're allowed to time jump a little while I think we should do a costume ball or something (or even like a themed event *I think I mentioned pilgrims and indians to another staff as a joke*) Can I just say, with your next idea, that the movie V for Vendetta is amazing! We don't celebrate it in the US but we celebrate the 4th. Perhaps, if you wanted something with fireworks, we could tie it into another event? (since we have fireworks with other events around US so something like that could work). Your high stressed stuff ties in with what Callum mentioned, so I see that definitely happening (just as soon as we figure it all out). I love forcing characters together so thanks for the ideas!

Anyone have anything else to add? I'm loving the feedback!

(I seriously do think sometimes.) That maybe the town has like, a winter festival
? The twon gets together, and they dance and drink and a parade. The town would celebrate this for a like a week, and on the friday of that week the HS would have a winter formal? LOTS of drama goes down at school dances.

A rave or some wild party that's illegal? I've seen a few of those done on other boards and they can be fun (strobe lights, beads, wild colors, and so on). I'm planning on bringing Mercedes sister around and she races cars, so maybe a pink slips race event (like drag races or "run what you've brung" where local tracks let you bring your own car out and race for cash). I'm not sure how you could work though, but maybe have it be at night outside of town so people won't get caught. There'd be a wild party that goes along with it and everything. We could also have an open mic night at a bar (themed party) for the characters over 21. I've been to a few of those and they're fun, but not sure how you'd make that into an event for an RP board. For high school you could do a fundraiser like a car wash? It probably doesn't sound fun but when we had school car washes they were lots of fun. Secret santa is coming up but again not sure how that'd work. You could have a beauty pageant (popularity contest) to go along with the person aboves idea about the festival. You could call it the "Turkey Pageant" or something and have people fighting to become Miss and Mr Turkey. I know that's lame but during festivals (like founders day) there are pageants. None of these were probably good ideas but wanted to contribute.
