[/COLOR][/B]: from a distance, elijah looks like any normal bloke walking the streets. shortish brown hair, fringe lifted in a quiff every so often, a lanky body at least six foot three in height, and a dress sense like any other. jeans, sweatshirts, chinos, cardigans, and the signature sunglasses, you know the stuff.
but, that's just at a distance.
come a bit closer and you'll see the marks that lace his skin. thick, raised scars snake his arms and this alone tells you all you need to know. they are his signature mark, one that tells you off his past, one that tells you to not ask your snide questions.
he often tries to cover them to avoid the staring, 'cause elijah hates people staring. hence the sweatshirts and the cardigans, he loves the long sleeves because they can hide it all.
elijah has only his right nipple pierced, and he dislikes the idea of tattoos because in actual fact, he'd quite like to have a clean body when he reaches an older age. the thought of stretched, wrinkled ink makes his nose twitch in disgust. (and he also realises that those scars will be with him for life, they'll be enough for him).

but as i said, despite the marks, elijah looks like a normal twenty-one year old man going about his daily life.
personality: elijah is honestly a real sweetheart, though you probably wouldn't think it. i mean, not after all the things he's done and all the things you've heard.
'cause elijah used to be a piece of work.
the rumours you heard about him hitting his ex-girlfriend of a year? that was true.
he could never control his anger, not properly at least. elijah would lash out at everything, and more importantly, amy.
he loved the girl, or at least he thought he did. but he never knew why, or how he was capable of striking her just because he'd had a bad day. it didn't make sense in his own mind, and he couldn't control what it was he was doing. every time he hit her, after a moment he'd always start to cry. he'd always beg for forgiveness, saying "i'm sorry, i'm sorry" over and over, because that's what he was like. he was always so apologetic because he never done it purposely. but one little word couldn't make up for how he hurt her, and one day amy had had enough. when she got up and left, elijah knew he had blown it.
and that's when the depression began. the moment she left, everyone clocked on to what was going on. "woman beater" was all he was labeled, he lost his friends, his family turned their back on him, and so he himself had to leave. but not after dragging that thick blade across his skin. again. and again. and again.

but that was two years ago now, he's recently moved back to jacksonville and he's not that stupid eighteen year old anymore. or at least that's what he wants to believe and what he wants others to believe.
he's changed and it isn't even a lie, he honestly has. he's stronger, better, more of a man now than he ever has been. he knows that he was pathetic, he knows that he was possibly the scum of the earth, but that was two years ago. and a lot can happen within that space of time.
he's kindhearted, will put everyone above himself, and he is always going to be there for you. loyalty is one of his strongest traits, and so is his faithfulness. his anger is now controlled with weekly therapy sessions, and he hasn't thrown a fist ever since amy left.
elijah is determined to prove that he is not the boy he used to be, and he refuses to give up until they all start to realise.
he wants to show that he can love without the need to hurt in the process. because it was never the one who he hurt that was to blame, it was all his fault.
likes: romantic comedies, soap operas, singing, drawing, cooking, helping those who need it, diet coke, cuddling, going out drinking, smoking, late nights, early mornings.
dislikes: over-the-top sarcasm, people staring, his past, being alone, getting called names, peanut butter, cats, ironing, his job.
strengths: physical strength, incredibly loyal and honest, and very good at listening and offering advice in deep, thoughtful conversations.
weaknesses: his anger is still temperamental, he cannot stand it if someone mentions how he was a perpetrator of domestic violence, highly emotional, and still succumbs to self-harm/abuse every now and again when times get rough.
