It was a place that he feared to even step foot it. So many of Charlie's where around here, stopping in at her place, and none of them liked Zander. This was something Zander needed to get sorted out though. He needed to make amends with Charlie, when she invited him to swing by to talk about everything that happened at the party, he was nervous, but it needed to be discuss. He walked up to the door, and knocked slowly. Zander felt his heart beating out of his chest, and he was ready to just turn and run.
Zander composed himself, and stood there waiting for Charlie to answer the door. He knew she wasn't happy about what had happened, and he had already dealt with an angry Charlie once. It was not something he wanted to happen again, she was quite scary when he was mad. Zander could only hope she would be calm, and even maybe be nice to him for once. It was unlikely, but it was a possibility.
Looking down at the ground and shuffling his feet a little Zander heard the door start to open. He was glad that she actually wanted to talk to him, and he hoped it all went well. His biggest fear was losing her forever. He just wanted his friend back even if she wouldn't love Charlie and Zander, but those days where long gone, and now he had to try to pick up the pieces of his friendship. He never imagined it would all end up like this, but even the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry.

Even though she was way beyond angry with Zander for what had happened at her party, Charlie needed to talk to him about it. There could not be a repeat of what had happened. She knew that next time Dylan wouldn’t miss nor would he be nearly so nice. Charlie also knew that if Ben hadn’t been there to stop her from throwing a punch things would have ended much different than they had. It would have gotten far uglier than it already had. She had enough, there was no way she was going to let her friends get hurt or in trouble because of her, because she was upset. She and Zander had to deal with this once and for all so she could convince her friends that everything was just fine. Unsure of what time Zander would show up, Charlie sat down at her desk. The need to write lyrics was beginning to overwhelm her. It had been far too long since she had any time to actually sit down and write, she missed it so much. Between school and working three jobs Charlie barely had enough time to sleep, add in everything that was going on with Josh and Cadence, now she had to add in the fact that Mr. X had written a blog that included her and Ben, it was a wonder that Charlie wasn’t more of a walking zombie.
As the words seemed to flow on the lined paper with absolute raw emotion, Charlie could hear the riffs in her head to go with it. Picking up her debutante butterfly guitar, Charlie began playing a few of the chords that had come to her mind. It sounded almost too raw, but if that’s where her emotions were going to bring her then it had to be right. Throwing the strap over her shoulder, Charlie let her guitar rest on her lap as she went back to writing the lyrics. Just as she was finishing the chorus, Charlie heard a knock on her door. Part of her wanted to ignore it, to keep writing but she knew she couldn’t avoid it even if this song was coming out way too easily. Standing up, Charlie carefully lifted her guitar strap over her head, placing the debutante butterfly on her bed before walking towards the door. Part of Charlie had hoped that it was Ben, but she knew better than that. Since Mr. X had outed them Ben didn’t come to the dorms, not even to visit Braeydon. Dollface, she had missed him. He had been staying over at Dyl’s the past few days which of course made Charlie happy, but she missed her two best friends.
Placing her hand on the doorknob, Charlie didn’t even bother asking who it was. It didn’t matter who it was, they were obviously there for some reason, thought she knew it was more than likely Zander at this point. Most of Charlie’s friends had been out doing stuff and for once Draven had given her the afternoon off. Go figure the one afternoon she had off all of her friends were living their lives without her. Charlie didn’t expect them to stop living their lives for her, she just missed them plain and simple. Opening the door, Charlie’s eyes focused on Zander standing in her doorway. Trying to control her emotions, Charlie bit down on the inside of her lip. She was clearly not over being angry at Zander for causing Braeydon to get hit. Even if she knew it was more Dylan’s fault than anything for starting with Zander, she expected more of him. ”Come in.” Charlie stepped out of the way so Zander could get by her. She knew it was going to take everything she had not to snap. Charlie was under way too much pressure lately that eventually she was bound to explode.

As he walked in he looked at Charlie, her face told it all, at look of pain, anger, sadness, and regret. Zander should have realized by now, but it had just now sunken in that he was tearing this poor girl up inside. Not only did he break her heart, but now he had caused her even more pain by messing with her friends. It was hard for him to imagine, but he was more than likely on the top of Charlie's most hated list right now. It wasn't the time to worry about that though, it was time to try to get some of this mess straightened out.
Zander took as seat on the floor, and propped his back against the wall. It wasn't the most comfortable spot ever, but it would do. He looked up at Charlie, see seemed much taller than she really was from his viewpoint. She towered over him, like an ominous shadow of all his past regrets and wrong doings. Talk about a real Christmas Carol moment, but Zander was no Scrooge, he was just a confused teenager who had really messed up the past few months. He wanted to fix everything, but most of his mistakes where way beyond repair, and each day they got further and further out of control.
Looking up at Charlie, Zander put on a half-assed smile. "So, you rang?" Zander said, hoping to add a little comic relief to the situation. Zander was just trying to bide his time, and trying his best to avoid all the anger that Charlie had pinned up right now. He knew she was a loose cannon at this point and the smallest thing could set her off. So, he figured the best plan would be to sit down, shut up, and let her give her two cents. It might be harsh and hurtful to hear what she had to say, but it was nothing compared to the pain he had cause her. He was prepared to take this beating like a man, if it came down to it.

Charlie watched Zander as he walked into her room. It had seemed like it had been a hundred years since he was in her room, actually he had never been in her room since she had moved in with Braeydon. Charlie never would have thought that in her lifetime she would have felt this way nor would she have gone days without spending time with Zander, let alone weeks. That wasn’t what bothered her the most though. What bothered her was the fact that he could have thrown her away so easily. He was the one person at Jackson aside from Josh and Cadence who had known Charlie probably better than she knew herself. He was supposed to be the one person she could go to at any hour of any day and talk to him. Charlie’s entire world was caving in around her and she had no one to share it with. She couldn’t talk to her friends about things, they were falling apart more rapidly than she was. Now the more she thought about it, the angrier she got. He lied. It wasn’t the fact that he had kissed Evie, that pissed her off, but it was the fact that he had promised to always be there for her and he just simply wasn’t. Zander was hurting her so much more than he could realize.
Seeing him sit down on the floor, Charlie stood there staring down at him, her arms crossed over her chest. Part of her had wanted to tell him to get up off of the floor, to sit somewhere more comfortable but she couldn’t. Charlie didn’t have the energy to try and be nice at this point. She had things she wanted to say to him and are you okay sitting down on the hard floor? wasn’t on the top of her list. Charlie could feel her level of anger rising again, part of her wised that Braeydon had been home just in case she got out control again. It took a lot to get Charlie to that point, but once she had it was hard to pull herself back. She didn’t want to hit Zander, that was never her intention even at the party, but her rage had gotten the best of her.
Taking a deep breath, Charlie closed her eyes. Zander should have known that making a joke when she was like this was a bad idea. Count Charlie. 1…2…3…4…5. Letting the air escape from her lungs, Charlie opened her blue eyes and looked down at Zander. ”You had no business hitting Dylan, Zander. Not at my party. You should have let it go. I fucking expect more from you. You of all people should know how I feel about my friends and important they are to me. But then again maybe we never were fucking friends after the shit you’ve pulled with me lately. What, was I your fall back girl until you could get home to Evie? I don’t care if you said things are over between you two, it started and that’s what matters. Now look at everything. Dylan hit Braeydon because of you, and now he’s under house arrest for fuck sake Zander.” The tone of her voice was nasty and spiteful, her blue eyes narrowed. Deep down she couldn’t help but think that all of that was really her fault. If she had only kept her mouth shut about things, never told Braey or Dyl what was going on, then none of this would have happened. Even if Zander had caused part of the problem, Charlie was the root of it all and she would never forgive herself for it.
Absolutely frustrated and disgusted with things, Charlie threw up her arms. "I just can't fucking do this right now Zander. I'm so fucking done with this conversation. You don't deserve any of my fucking time after all of this. I tried, but I just can't do it." Charlie leaned over, picking up her cell phone and keys before turning on her heels to her door, swinging it open forcefully hitting the wall with a large bang. Her eyes widened slightly at the sight of her younger sister standing outside her dorm door. "I'm sorry Cadence, I can't talk right now. I just have to get the hell out of her for a bit." Charlie walked by her sister and down the hallway. She just needed to get away from it all, she just didn't know where she was going. Anywhere was better than where she was at that moment.

Cadence didn't regularly stalk her older sister's dorm or anything like that, but they did room in the same Hall and, well, sometimes when she was walking down the hall - and there was yelling going on, such as now - Cadence couldn't help but stop to listen. Charlie never, ever seemed to get mad and Cadence wasn'ta bout to let this chance slide. And her sibling would be none the wiser if Cadence pried into her life a little, right? It wasn't like she meant anything bad by it, she was just bored. And compared to some of the other things she did when she was bored, this was as innocent as a puppy.
She pressed her ear to the door of her sibling's dorm and listened as her sister errupted on someone, going on about Braeydon - that name sounded familiar, wasn't that her dorm mate? - and a person named Dylan. Hm. Cadence made a mental note to figure out who these people were later on. She pursed her lips just barely as the name Zander hit the door, and from the context of the conversation Cadence could only imagine that was who was in there. Of course, Charlie'd had a thing for Zander for as long as Cadence could remember - her sister could be a little transparent, sometimes. Or maybe it was just that sisterly intuition. They'd been dating for a while, too, according to the school gossip - but, according to Mister X, that was long over. And by Charlie screaming, Cadence could infer the same thing from the conversation.
Wow, was he that dumb to come over, then? She almost wanted to laugh as a smirk snaked up her painted lips. Her thin brow situated, amused, over her eyes as she listened to Charlie's rant end. Man, Zander had really fucked up, hadn't he? Well, of course he had. She'd heard through the grapevine that he'd gone off and kissed some girl, whoever it was, Cadence had neglected to find out, and then he'd come back to Jackson expecting Charlie to be perfectly fine. Well, Charlie was with that teacher - allegedly - now, right? That grin snaked further up her lips and she made a mental note to high five her sister for going after older men. Oh, she was so proud of Charlie. She'd nabbed the cute one, too.
Cadence hopped away from the door and adjusted her clothing idly, as if she were preparing to knock on the door when Charlie finally appeared. Keys in hand and a look of rage pressed onto her face, Charlie looked less than amused by anything - which was to be expected. She was fiddling with the belts she was wearing, which weren't looped around her skirt at all but just rested, cocked along her thin hips, for no reason other than fashion. She glanced up innocently, her wide blue eyes worried. "...Charlie...?" She pursed her lips as her sister stormed down the hall, saying something pointedly about not being able to talk. Thin brows furrowed, her blue eyes shifted back to the door that had been left ajar. Zander was still in there - Charlie was willing to leave him alone with her stuff? What if he trashed the place? Cadence doubted he would, though. The youngest North slipped in through the door and glanced down at the boy who was sitting on the floor, against the wall. "Well, my sister isn't exactly the ideal host now, is she?" Cadence's eyes darted over to Braeydon's - that was his name, right? - side of the room before they landed back on Zander. She traversed the short distance in the room with expert skill and crouched in front of him, her knees tightly pressed together and her weight balanced precariously on her overlarge pumps. "I'm really sorry, Zander. What happened?" Her face molded into an expression of worry as she knelt there before him, her blue eyes wide with concern.

It was just him, and his emotions now, setting there feeling broken and alone. It wasn’t what he had planned on, and it certainly wasn’t what he had wanted out of the whole situation. He wanted things to go back to the way they where before, but that fantasy world of lollipops and gumdrops was long gone. It was like a fairytale gone wrong, Prince Charming kissed the wrong girl, and Snow White became a huge angry bitch and stormed off with her seven brutes. It was all messed up in Zander’s world and he didn’t think he could handle one more day living like this. It was intolerable to even look at Charlie anymore, and it wasn’t like she would ever care again. Just as he thought he was here alone, in pranced a familiar face. Cadence, Charlie’s little sister, the other North girl, but most of all the crazy one. These where all things Zander had heard Cadence called, and he had to wonder was she really as crazy as everyone said. She had always been sort of nice to Zander, and hell he had known her forever, they just never talked.
Zander looked up at the pink haired girl. She wasn’t anything like Charlie, and at the moment she was offering him sympathy, something he wasn’t accustom to anymore. Everyone gave him hate, and it was nice for once to see a smile on someone’s face for once, but the real nice part was he knew it was meant for him. He smiled at her, then looked back down at the ground. “Hey Cadence, I suppose you heard all that right?” Zander said with a frown ”That was just your sister yelling at me, guess it serves me right. I really messed up, but I want you to know Cadence, it wasn’t just my fault.” Zander stood up, and sat down on the chair that was sitting in Charlie’s room, it was a lot better than the floor. “Anyways Cadence, what are you doing here anyways? I mean this is Charlie’s room.”
Glad to be rid of the angry Charlie, Zander let out a sigh. He wasn’t sure what to do from here. Cadence was here now, and it would be rude to leave her alone. He felt awkward just sitting in Charlie’s room for no reason though. It was also still a mystery to him why Cadence was even talking to him. She had never once hardly talked to him, even when they where little. She always smiled or waved when she saw him, but that was always it. The last thing he need was to make another reason for Charlie to get mad at him, and this could be it. Cadence wasn’t like that though, was she? She would cause anymore drama between the two, or at least he hoped not.

She pursed her plump lips together, turning them downward at the corners a little, a worried expression overtaking her face. "Mmhm, I heard." She said, her soprano voice slow, worried. Her brows still hung over her eyes, deep with the same worry that cast over her big, blue eyes. She'd heard every word that Charlie had spat, full of venom, at Zander. She bit her lip, wrangling the lip-gloss covered bottom lip into submission between her teeth. Her blue eyes flickered across Zander's face. He looked so sad, didn't he? A little pathetic, sitting there in Charlie's room, slumped against the wall like some discarded outfit or something.
Poor thing.
"I know." She murmured as he got up to move toward a chair, and she in turn sat down on Charlie's bed, her legs crossed and her hands placed palm down across the bedspread. She leaned back slightly on them, just enough to be comfortable, although her face was still wrought with worry. "I know, Zander. I know it's not your fault. Charlie's been... I don't know, she's been kind of off." She straightened up her posture, leaning down briefly to adjust the strap on her heels. She rested her forearms along her knees, her lips plumped into a faint pout. "She's been really weird lately. I was just coming to talk to her, actually, she's sort of... Well, I don't know if you read the blogs..." There was a bit of disdain in her voice, a faint disappointment if he hadn't. But, then again, he'd probably been all over that little tidbit about Mr. Allen, hadn't he? Oh, Cadence could only imagine.
"But I know it wasn't your fault. I mean, I heard a little... She was so mad. I'm sorry, Zander, I really am." Her lips pursed again and drew into a line of sympathy. She sat like that for a moment, brushing her pink hair behind her ear. He looked so sad, didn't he? So tired, like he'd been dragged across the coals. She'd grown up with him, and never in the fleeting time that she'd seen him had he looked so... So down! She stood up, a little resolutely, and crossed the room toward him. She stopped, standing before him, and leaned over just enough so she was face to face with him. Her tiny hands cupped his face gently, her own expression erupting into a smile. "Don't let her worry you, alright?" She slipped her hands away from his face, though her eyes focused on his own. Maybe she could see what Charlie had seen in him, he was kind of cute, wasn't he? With that rugged look and that lip piercing, he was a little adorable. That little smile remained on her glossed up lips, and her wide blue eyes focused on his face. Her pale hand reached out slowly and her fingers found his hair. "You poor thing. I'm so sorry about her. But you should really forget about Charlie, I mean... She's turned into a super bitch lately. It's not your fault."

It was hard to smile at a time like this. Zander just wanted to lock himself away and forget the world, but one person wouldn't seem to let him do that. Cadence, the little girl he had always grown up with. The other North girl, Zander had never really had a thing for Cadence, but she was adorable. Her big pink hair, her cute little piercings, and her amazing tattoos that where on her shoulder her upper chest. She was a cute girl, and Zander couldn't deny that. He wouldn't let the fact that some cute girl came prancing into his life change the fact that he loved Charlie though, not yet anyway.
Zander laughed as Cadence told him it wasn't all his fault. "No one understands Cadence, and I doubt you do either. I got pulled back into that shithole town, that we all grew up in, Mom and Dad talked about pulling me out of JHS, and I didn't think I was coming back. I was there for over a month, and did Charlie call, text, or try to get a hold of me.... no! The only person who seemed to care was Evie, and I let myself get caught up in that. This mess is my fault, but it isn't all my fault, and Charlie won't even admit fault at all." Zander put his head into his hands, and let out a few tears. It was something he had come accused to, tears and depression, it was all he had done lately.
Zander slowly raised his head up to look at Cadence once more. Wouldn't you know she was right there comforting. Zander smiled as she said to forget about Charlie, and that she had become a bitch lately. For once in the past several monthes, something seemed to be going good. It seemed like Cadence really cared about him. He wasn't one hundred percent sure about it, but it seemed nice at the moement. "Thanks Cadence, your great!" Zander said, wrapping his arms around her giving her a huge hug.

She was quiet as he spoke, said that she didn't understand. Well of course she didn't, she had heard from Charlie that he'd gone off and kissed - Evie, oh, that was who? - and that was all she'd known. Though hearing it from him, it didn't seem like it was all his fault. Maybe a little, but not entirely. Her face molded once more into a brief, sympathetic expression as she heard the rest of his story. "Well then she doesn't deserve you," Cadence said resolutely, "If she's just going to toss you aside like it was nothing."
It wasn't all Zander's fault, was it? Of course not. Charlie hadn't called, or texted him at all! She rolled her bottom lip between her teeth again, tugging briefly at it with indecision. Obviously Charlie didn't care, did she? "Oh, I'm sorry, Zander. I really am." She said quietly, her blue eyes reflecting some sort of earnestness in them. That poor boy! Charlie was always complaining about how Zander never called her, but the phone worked both ways. "She didn't even try, did she? You don't deserve this. It's her fault." Well, Evie cared, and he got caught up in that? Her lips curled up just slightly, reassuringly. Well, she cared, too. A lot. Just imagine how caught up he'd get in that?
She squeaked a little, just a minute sort of sound, when he hugged her. She hadn't expected that in the least, though her thin arms wrapped around him gingerly, comfortingly. Her hand found its way to his hair again and she played with it idly as she hugged him, and finally released him from her grip after a moment. She sighed a little heavily, her blue eyes flicking to the ground. "It's really too bad." She said, feeling her cheeks heat up a little. Her eyes flickered back to his face, but they only lingered there a moment before they darted back to the ground. "You know, that you liked Charlie so much." Her pump-clad foot scuffed at the ground a little with the toe of the shoe. "Especially now that she's so horrible to you. I always thought you were really cool, even though we never hung out." Her cheeks were still slightly flushed, and her big, doe-like eyes were still focused on the ground. "She doesn't know what she's missing out on." She said a little sadly, nibbling on the inside of her own cheek.

Even if it was the sister of his ex-love. As the hug came to an end Zander smiled, he hadn't felt appreciated or even respected for sometime, and this was much more than he had expect out of Cadence. He had never hung out with her, and she never seemed to take any kind of liking to him, or so he thought. As Zander heard Cadence say she always thought he was cool Zander kind blushed a little. It was hard to explain why, it might have been because everyone hated him and he was finally getting attention, or it could have been because Cadence really seemed to like him, or maybe because deep down somewhere Cadence reminded him of Charlie. For whatever reason though it made Zander feel like he had a reason to smile, even if only for a short time.
Zander looked at Cadence, her eyes still glued to the ground. "What do you mean she doesn't know what she is missing out on?" Zander said sort of shocked at this whole situation. " I loved your sister, and despite the fact I messed up, I could have made it better. She didn't want me by that point though, and I got my heart stomped on. It sucks, know that you tried, and the other person just gave up on you....." Zander voice trailed off. He had never had this bad a time accepting loss. He had been dumped before, he had lost relatives close to him, and yet this was the biggest heartbreak of them all
Pulling himself back to reality, Zander came to a realization. "You know what Cadence, forget all this self pity, woe is me nonsense. I need to get over it and move on. From here on out, forget Charlie, forget feeling sad for myself, Zander Slater is moving." Zander felt better now that he had someone to talk to. He was glad he got that stuff off his chest. For a long time Charlie had been his only friend, and now having someone else care was more than he had asked for. It was just what he needed right now, and he couldn't feel anymore happy in the circumstances he was in then he did right now

She smiled a little, although it was fleeting, sad. "Charlie... She's too wrapped up in herself, everything she does is always about her." Cadence mumbled quietly, glancing briefly and sidelong up at Zander. She paused to let him speak and nodded. "That's what I mean. She hasn't even given you a chance, and already she's off chasing after someone else? You don't deserve that." She said, looking him in the eye. Her own widened a little, although they were still serious. "I mean you've always been such a great guy, Zander. I mean, maybe it's a little dumb, but I always thought you were, even when we were little. I was always kinda jealous of Charlie." She glanced down again, scuffing the toe of her pump on the ground again.
Jealous of Charlie, sure. "I never thought it was fair, that she could throw a bitch fit and still get a great guy. You know?" It wasn't fair, it wasn't fair at all. And now Charlie was off parading around with some teacher, right? She watched him as he came to his conclusion, decided he was going to move on, and she smiled widely, a shimmer in her eyes. "I'm so happy for you, Zander." She said, her petite voice reflecting the aforementioned joy. "You don't need her hanging like a cloud over your life. I mean, look at you, you're handsome, and you're caring. You can do so much better than that. I'm glad you're moving on." She smiled again, although this time there was something beneath that joy - a slight coyness, perhaps, something just a little seductive. Nothing over the top, just a faint spice to those plump lips.
A faint sigh passed between those lips as she watched him. "You know, there are other people out there who care." She said, watching him with those big eyes. "I always wanted to be your friend, too... But Charlie wouldn't let me." Her face screwed up a little, into an expression of brief sadness. "But, you know what? Charlie's not here. And... To be honest with you, Zander, I always did think you were kinda cute." Her cheeks flushed a faint pink color and she glanced down at the ground, flickering her gaze up only briefly to gauge his reaction through her thick, black eyelashes.

He could believe it. He didn't know what to think, should be be happy, worried, intrigued, or interested. He didn't know if he could give Cadence a fair chance. Nothing seemed to hold a candle to the wonder and beauty of Charlie. It was sad to think like that, that Charlie was so untouchable that no one else stood a chance. Mostly for the shear fact that it wasn't true. Cadence was quite pretty, and from the way she acted here and know could be a very kind and loving person. Zander didn't care what Charlie or anyone else said. Right now, Cadence was amazing and cute, a combo he couldn't pass up on.
Zander smiled at the pink haired doll that sat in front of him. Then he realized what Cadence said, "Charlie wouldn't let you be my friend!" Zander was shocked. Charlie was never mean, well except recently, but she wouldn't do that....would she? The Charlie Zander knew wouldn't, but that Charlie almost seemed like a figment of his imagination, an illusion, or something lost never to return. It was hard to reason why Charlie wouldn't want Cadence to be his friend. Jealousy, Envy, or was this just one of Cadence's crazy vindictive that everyone talk about. There had to be a reason for her saying it, you can't make stuff like that up. "Well, Cadence... I don't have a single friend at this school anymore, and it would be amazing to have you as a friend, and hey you did say I was cute right?"
Today so far had been an adventure for Zander, like a roller coaster of emotions. Now things where calming down though, and he felt as if things could only get better from here on out. "Cadence, I'm not gonna lie to you. You are gorgeous, and you have made me happier than anyone else has lately. I'm really glad your here, and to be honest I don't know what I would have done if you didn't show up." Zander sat there smiling like a child. His innocent side always seemed to come out in moments like this. The poor kid didn't have a shred of meanness in him, and everyone took advantage of that.

She shook her head as he exclaimed, and shrugged briefly, only skirting the subject. "She just wanted you to herself. I can understand why, being as nice as you are." She rolled her shoulders, a nonchalant shrug. Zander did honestly seem so sweet, the poor thing. Charlie had really walked all over him, hadn't she? Well, he'd hurt her, but still - like he'd said, it wasn't really his fault. It was still her doing as well, right? She pursed her lips briefly, gazing up at him through those long, dark eyelashes of her's, her face still angled briefly toward the ground.
"Of course you're cute, Zander." Her blue eyes flicked back up to meet his fully. "And I'd love to be your friend. I can't understand why anyone else wants to be." Her pale face, molded just like a porcelain doll's, watched him with the wide eyes and the delicate features in an almost innocent manner. It really was shocking, all those stories - when she could look that damn innocent when she wanted to. She smiled a little shyly when he said she was gorgeous, and her hand went to her hair and she idly started playing with it. "That's very sweet of you."
She bit her bottom lip and moved toward him, her pale hands reaching out to him. They stopped short briefly and fell, limply, to her sides in disuse. "Zander... Can I tell you something?" She asked, almost nervously as she watched him. She didn't wait very long for an answer, but that nervous expression fluttered across her face. A resoluteness followed shortly thereafter, as if she'd been struggling with herself for a moment. Her tiny hands, just as pale as that porcelain face, reached out to cup his own. Her face hovered, just a few inches from his own, her blue eyes focused on that handsome face of his. They closed and she pressed forward, allowing her lips to graze across his for a moment. Something subtle, something small, right? That was the best way to start out, huh? Best not to scare the poor boy off. She pulled her face away from his, her fingers wrapped loosely under his jaw and her thumb grazing his cheekbone. Her lips pursed together, and her wide blue eyes watched him for a moment before she leaned in again to kiss him once more.

She wanted to be his friend, and now with out Charlie in the way the two of them could be great friends. Cadence said he was nice, cute, and sweet. Those where things Zander missed hearing. No one ever seemed to say anything positive about Zander anymore. They all talked about the one kid who screwed over Charlie. No one seemed to care about his side of the story. Thats where Cadence was wonderful, she did care... didn't she?
Zander looked Cadence in the eyes as she asked if she could ask him a question. "Of course Cadence, ask anything?"As he finished his sentence he felt Cadence's hands reach up to his face. They glided down his cheeks and under his chin. Zander melted as Cadence looked him in the eyes. Her lips pursed as she went in to kiss him. As there lips met, it was electric, Zander felt a chill go down his spine, and then as she came back in to kiss him again. He wanted to scream, he wanted to melt in the moment, but he controlled himself long enough to enjoy the kiss for what it was.....simply amazing.
Cadence had never seemed like someone Zander would date, or even flirt with. Mostly because Zander was always preoccupied by Charlie, but now there was no Charlie in the equation. Was Cadence acting on feelings she had always had for him. Was this all a lie. Zander couldn't tell, but right now he was just going to enjoy it. Zander smiled and leaned back to kiss Cadence, as their lips parted again. Zander had to ask "What's this all about Cadence, I never knew you had these kind of feelings for me. Why did you never say anything?"

A smile flickered across her lips, small at first, demure, but building up steam. It was so nice to kiss someone after so long; she hadn't in a while. At least, she hadn't kissed anyone and meant it. Although, she wasn't even sure if she entirely meant this at all - but that same familiar rush, the breath of heat that caressed her face, slithered down her neck, warmed her body, it was still there. That familiar pleasantness, that heat, like a fire, filled her body as if it was. And that was all Cadence needed, all she really wanted, anyway, was that heat to fill that emptiness.
Her eyes, those eyes so big and blue, glanced up through her thick, darkly painted eyelashes as Zander said she could ask him anything, tell him anything. That smile on her lips coiled slightly, not venomous or cruel, but just a little stronger than it had previously been - not quite so shy anymore."I've always liked you, Zander." She said quietly, her voice a breathy whisper but again, it was not as innocent as it had been before. Those eyes searched his for a moment, her hands still resting gently on his face. They slid down, her left hand upon his shoulder and her right trailing the collar of his shirt just slightly, her thin, pale fingers sliding over the surface of the fabric like a figure skater over ice. "It nearly killed me," There was a faint pout to her voice, though it was not strong enough to be the dominant tone, "When you and Charlie started going out. She never appreciated you." She pursed her full, glossy lips for a moment, contemplating her next words. Her voice took a slightly lower dip, something else in it now, something of a purr. "She could never appreciate you like I could."
Cadence's eyes left Zander's for a moment, only after they had lingered there long enough to get the point across. Her nimble fingers, whose tips were pressed to the collar of Zander's shirt, slipped slightly underneath it, so that the tops of her fingernails pressed smoothly against his flesh. She leaned forward again, her lips slightly parted as she let them find his own mouth again.
