You could always tell when Mardi Gras was right around the corner by the colorful items put out at the local convenience stores. Plastic beads lined the shelves along with brightly colored feathers and masks. The liquor stores had a hard time keeping alcohol on their shelves as the people kept coming in and skanking it off the shelves, but considering Mardi Gras is one of the biggest parties of the year it's all understandable. It's one of the nights each year where people line the streets partying and living it right up, and once the crowds are clear all that's left is spare bead necklaces and glittered adorned sidewalks. Feathers can be seen fluttering around in the breeze, and of course the the countless liquor and beer bottles that are just tossed aside with all the rest of the trash and litter. The authories and road crews piss and moan about this day yearly, but they tend to turn their attention in another direction letting the city live it up in true style not so much taste and class. The party lines the entertainment district so you can go into the clubs, or you can stay right out on the streets and live it up with complete strangers. Beads will be flying and this is the one night that you can just let loose with your desires, so what are you going to do tonight? You'll always have an excuse tomorrow why you acted the way you did, perhaps it's just the electricity in the air or alcohol that made you act completely out of character, but whatever it is have no worries that you'll have the time of your life tonight. Welcome to Mardi Gras 2011, let's make it one you'll never forget.

"You want me to do what?" Bree cocked her head to the side giving the group of boys a crooked look, "You're serious?" She glanced over her shoulder at Kayla who'd been watching her, and she just grinned and waved before returning her attention to the younger men. "You know what? Why the fuck not, right?" She laughed as the boys all started to get excited, giggling as she watched one actually push his glasses back up his nose as they all hunched forward, "you can all go and tell your nerd friends that you actually snuck a peak at Aubrey Jenkins, you could be kings of the chess club," she honestly wasn't even sure what she was saying anymore as she giggled and pushed her shoulder strap of her dress off to the side, Kayla being able to watch her antics from behind.
She slid the strap down her arm until it hung by her elbow, and from there she pulled her bra up just some so the boys could see the black lace trim that adorned her cup. She watched as the boys jaws dropped and she just laughed even more as she quickly pulled her dress strap back up and grabbed the group of beads from their hands. "I hope it was worth it boys," she rolled her eyes turning and rushing to Kayla laughing as she threw herself into her best friends arms. "Can you believe those fools? Such losers, all they wanted to see was my bra when they could have gotten the FULL MONTY" she grabbed ahold of the top of her dress and shook it watching her cleavage dance all the while laughing hysterically. "I need another drink, damn I do," she grabbed ahold of Kayla's arm and pulled her through the crowd.
"I love you Kayla, I. Love. You," Bree leaned over wrapping an arm around her best friend and pulling her in for a smooch on the cheek. She had been entirely too excited for the huge Mardi Gras event, but since everything with Preston had happened it seemed her friends had been out to watch her a lot more. It bugged her to have the extra chaperones watching her each and every move, but at the same time it at least gave her time to spend with some of the best people in her life so she couldn't complain too much. Tonight it must have been Kayla's turn to watch her since that is who she showed up with. Her friend had tried to slow the intake of alcohol, but it seemed that the second she'd hit the street the alcohol was flowing and Bree was drinking it all in. She had no limit tonight, she was pretty much going to drink until she was numb, and even then it might not be enough to make her happy.
"You are so beautiful, have I told you that before? Of course i've told you, pretty girl," Bree was definitely feeling the alcohol already, but it seemed Kayla wasn't as into the drinking like she had been. Bree just shrugged it off as she looked around at the many people around. "Let's dance, come on baby girl, dance with me?" She pouted her lips out some pulling Kayla out towards the crowd. You could tell Aubrey was trying to cause a scene tonight and to keep the attention on her, and with her gorgeous bestie right by her side she surely was turning heads. She pulled Kayla in close to her as Bree started to dance close with her friend to whatever music was playing throughout the street.

looking sick and sexified
With not much persuasion from Bree, Kayla had agreed to go to the Mardi Gras event in town. She knew since after the whole thing with Preston Bree had not been herself, so tonight she was not drinking much so she could keep her head straight for Bree, but she wondered how long that would last and if she could do it, she knew it needed to be done though. She did not want her friend getting into any kind of trouble, or even worse, going off with some creeper. She watched over at her friend, smiling and waving when she looked her way and did the same, frowning slightly at all the oogling boys around her. She had a good mind to go right over and tell them the ‘show was over’ but she knew she needed to let Bree do what she wanted, to some extent, if it got too out of control at least she would be there to help her out of it. She needed to be around for her right now because she was going through a hard time. Damn Preston, ever since it had happened she had gone out of her way to avoid him just so she didn’t punch him in the face, he was lucky she had been avoiding him.
As Bree came back she smiled, putting her arms around her. She shook her head slightly Well they nerds, you probably gave them enough with that she smiled. I think if they got anymore they would have a fit, it would be way too much for them to handle, and also you don’t need to do that she told her honestly. You deserve better and you can find a guy who respects you Kayla knew that Bree probably didn’t want to hear that right now, and she probably wouldn’t listen, but she was telling her anyway because it was the truth. Bree deserved someone way better than Preston, even if she had loved him. Savannah and Preston deserved each other, even though the idea of them made her physically sick. Why he had gone for her, over Savannah she would never know, but no doubt she wouldn’t be able to keep her rage away from him too long and that would end up into a full blown argument. It wasn’t something she was looking forward to doing, but she knew it would happen eventually. As Bree announced she needed another drink, before she could protest she pulled Kayla through the crowd as Kayla squealed slightly.
She smiled when Bree said she loved her once and then twice and kissed her on the cheek, I love you too she smiled putting her arm round her as well. Lets just try take it easy though, k? she smiled slightly and gave her a knowing look. She didn’t blame her for acting this way, she had been the same around the same time last year, and Bree had been there for her so now at least she could be there for Bree. She wished that she didn’t have to in the way that she was, but didn’t have a problem with it in the slightest. She was her best friend and they were suppose to look out for each other no matter what. She was going to make sure Bree got through all of what she was feeling right now and fight through it, she was strong, and she knew she would, it would just take time. Now wasn’t the time to mention any of this though, nothing of that night would enter into conversation unless Bree said something about it. There was just no point in doing it and no need. That wasn’t going to make things better. If anyone caused trouble for her friend tonight she would be there to kick some serious ass.
Kayla laughed Thank you she smiled So are you she nodded. Of course she knew Bree was gorgeous and she did comment on how gorgeous she looked often, but neither of them usually said it randomly, she knew she was going to find it hard, but she really did need to try and tone down the drinking on Bree’s part. She was still surprisingly soba even though she’d had a couple of drinks. Both of them were known for liking to party, she had no shame in that and knew Bree didn’t either, they both loved to party so why not show it? And if Bree hadn’t been in the mind she was right now she would be drinking more than she was, but she was fine sticking to being soba. If it was going to keep Bree safe she was going to suck it up and not have a problem with it. Okay she grinned when Bree mentioned dancing and knew she wouldn’t take no for an answer. She got pulled away into the crowd of people already dancing around by Bree. She liked the attention just like Bree did, and the way Bree was dancing they were getting plenty of looks. She shrugged and thought what the hell? to give them something to look at.

Mardi gras, which could be roughly translated to ‘another excuse to get wasted’, was one of Jess’ favorite yearly events, it was one of the few days in the year that doing crazy things were actually mandatory. Nothing in the world could stop her from going, not even the though of having to go live on the radio with a raging hang over. After work she headed home to get ready, getting ready didn’t exactly involve getting dressed as much as it involved getting undressed, her bikini outfit was all ready put out the previous night, despite her knowning it was probably going to be extremely cold and her first of many six-packs of beer were cooling in the fridge, within less that ten minutes she was ready to go, she grabbed her beer and off she went for a night she was sure was going to be an adventure. Using her feet as transport, since drunk driving was against the law, even on Mardi Gras, Jess headed toward town, looking for some action, beer in hand and the remaining five under her arm ”Where my party people at?!” she yelled s loud as possible, causing cheers to erupt from a nearby crowd, which she joined. ”Hey honey, you drunk enough to show me your boobs yet? one of the guys in the group said, waving beads in front of him like it was gold ”I don’t think I’ll ever be that drunk, but we can have a drinking contest for those beads…. First person to finish their beer gets ‘em? Jess’ replied, seriously but with a friendly smile. ”Who-ho, that’ll be an easy win… On three then….One…Two…Three!”In less that three swift gulps Jess finished her beer and smiled broadly as she watched the guy almost choke on his, ”That’s what you get for underestimating me, now hand ‘em over. she said with a smile, unable to resist rubbing it in. The guy said nothing; he just threw the beads in Jess’ hand and together with his group continued down the street, obviously extremely embarrassed from getting his ass handed to him by a girl. Victoria Antoinette Wood Another party, another pill.
Mardi Gras, the perfect time for one to get away with mischeif and mayhem while enjoying the toxicity of those around her. From the where the short college freshman was standing it seemed like another excuse to get away with being high in public. Of course, there was always alcohol. Bitter, burning, strong drinks that would make one's head swoon and cause the drinker to collapse in the street. Yes, there was alcohol and plenty of illegal drinking to be done that night.
Tori Wood fumbled with a bottle of pills with the label torn off. Just one little pill and the night could begin. She cursed as she struggled to open the orange plastic container, why was it so hard to get to her drug of choice. After several moments of attempts and failures she managed to pop the white lid off. With a triumphant grin the girl placed a deep yellow pill- this one with the symbol for leo stamped into it- on her tongue. Within moments her mind was wheeling. Her grin softened as she turned to Ayden, "I got it!" She remarked, her pupils swelling to the size of dimes as the toxins took effect on her brain.
After the buzz began the real fun would follow suit. With nimble hands the girl pulled a mask made of plaster over her giddy face. The feline aspects of the mask clashed nicely with her attire. As she turned to look in the mirror she felt her insecurities grow. What if she was the only one in a mask? Tori tugged uncomfortably at her over-sized shirt as she studied her appearance. She would be alright, at least it wasn't an over-exagerated mask with feathers and beads. No, it was quite a simple, easy mask to look at. The gold and bronze accented the sheet music she had pasted on it quite nicely. With one last look over the girl turned back to her friend and grabbed his wrist, pulling him towards the door. If they were ever going to the good parties in time they would need to hurry.
As her shoes hit the pavement outside of the apartment building she shared with Ayden she immediately felt the excitement in the air. All around her people were dancing, shouting, flashing for beads, and enjoying themselves. With a sigh of pleasure Tori pulled Ayden into the fray, hell-bent on finding someone to celebrate with.
Slowly, not without stumbling on Tori's part, the two made their way down the street, passing bars and stores advertising cheap alcohol and free beads. Tori paused at a few, gaping in the windows as she watched the customers argue over the price of the alcohol they were consuming or that they were indeed dressed well enough for the celebration. She smiled a little as she observed, giggling to herself before passing on to the next window.
Eventually she came to the place where most of her peers were. In the mesh some were dancing, others drinking, and some were even rolling. Their obvious highs making the girl aware of her own. She quickly brought another colored tablet to her mouth and let it dissolve on her tongue. She was not going to lose her high, not on mardi gras.
Once the feelings of euphoria returned yet again Tori proceeded to join the ranks of those dancing. Her body moved in time with the rhythm, her pulse quickened as the drugs and music did their job to liven her up. Through the crowds she watched Ayden, her attention turning to others that wandered around him whenever one would get to close. Somehow, she lost site of him, drifting deeper into the crowd until she came upon two girls dancing near each other.
She had no idea what their names were, not even where they went to school or how old they were. As she watched them dance she began to imitate their movements, eventually incorporating them as her own. After several moments of dancing she realized that she was out here in attempts to meet people. Tori slowly crossed over to them, being careful not to fall on her face or bump into anyone that might send her tumbling to the ground. This proved a difficult task, but eventually she came to Aubrey and Kayla. "Hello," She shouted over the noise "I was wondering if either of you happened to have the time?" She lied. Of course she didn't care about the time, but what else was she supposed to ask. Her mind was numb with toxins, she couldn't think straight and all that she could come up with to say was a question about the time. The girl grimaced as she realized how dumb she must have sounded, but there was no way to get her words back. She accepted this and replaced the grim look with a smile.

AYDEN LEE ROSEAAs Ayden sat on Tori's bed he began to think of why was even bothering with going out on mardi gras. All he would be doing was watching her make a fool of herself, maybe sling back a couple bottles of Goldschlager, but both of those things he could do at home. Instead he was having to baby-sit her on the streets of Jacksonville and wherever else she may want to go. He let out a reluctant sigh as he fell back on the bed, why did she have to be so interested in mardi gras. She didn't come from Louisiana, so why was it so important to her? After thinking things over for a few moments he came to the realization that any party was a good party for Tori. A slight grin grew on his face, as long as he was tagging along with her he might as well enjoy himself.
After making up his mind that he would have a good time that night, Ayden pushed himself from the bed and crossed to the mini-fridge Tori kept in her room. Inside he found bottles of Sky Vodka, 1800 and his favorite, Goldschlager. Without asking he proceded to open the bottle and swing back a couple gulps of the gold flaked vodka. The liquid burned as it slid down his throat, the small pieces of metal cut the lining as they made their way to his gut. "Might as well start the night off right." He told Tori, his attention going back to the girl that stood fumbling with the bottle of pills. Ayden rolled his eyes and pushed himself to his feet.
"If you get caught with that, I don't know you." He motioned towards the pills as he watched her down a yellow one. As soon as the words had left his mouth the familiar feeling of alcohol filled his body. He felt warm and fuzzy, his vision blurred as he was drug from the apartment into the outside world.
All around him was color and noise. The bright purples, greens and yellows of mardi gras inspired him to the point where he began longing for his camera. If he had brought it what marvelous and beautiful images he could have captured. Ayden almost turned around to go back inside, but found himself being drug down the street. After walking a little while they paused and continued walking, paused again and continued walking. This behavior caused the male to regret going out with Tori. He took another swig from his bottle, praying that he looked the age to be drinking.
As he let himself be led towards the group, he slowly became more and more drunk. The half a bottle of goldschlager was nearly gone when they reached their peers. With a pout Ayden chugged the rest and swung the bottle away from him. With a loud crash it broke on the pavement. He chuckled to himself as he watched it happen, not caring that people would be stepping on broken glass and that he might very well fall onto it later that night.
After humoring himself with the possibilities the night might hold the tall male spun where he was standing. His green eyes scanned the crowd for a bleach blond cat. Where she had gotten off two he could hardly say. Finally, his eyes landed on her. She was dancing a little while off near two girls he had seen around town. His face hardened as he realized she was going to attempt to socialize while high. With long strides he made his way over to Tori. Once there he placed his hands on her shoulders, watching the interaction through drunken eyes.

“Welcome to the Hotel California! Such a lovely place Such a lovely face. Plenty of room at the Hotel California! Any time of year, you can find it here.” with her hands up in the air waving along with the beat of the speakers, Analeigh's voice soared throughout the karaoke bar as one by one performers went up to sing classics that everyone should know and love. Now normally, Analeigh wouldn't waste her beauty and talents in a place like this but with Mardi Gras spirit around the air, one things changed her mind. It was clearly written in her face as her body swayed to the music. The girl was drunk. With a bottle near her and a shot glass right next to it, Analeigh was clearly under the influence and anyone who saw her knew it. The major hint was that she had a grin on her face. The diva known to have a scowl, smirk, frown or combination of all three in her face had been changed. Instead of being the major ghoul that she was, she was just being a ordinary person who had a couple of shots. She was the loudest person in the bar. Even to the point where her voice would match the person singing who had the speakers to back them up. The only thing that saved her from being thrown out was that everyone else was pretty much plastered. With Hotel California coming to and end, the girl clapped loudly with a whistle escaping from her lips.
Analeigh reached out towards the shot glass and bottle, feeling her buzz coming down a bit, stumblingly tilting the bottle in order to pour some liquid magic to her glass, Analeigh was disappointed to find out nothing poured. Her grin became a scowl as her emotions quickly shifted to what it usually was. “MAS TEQUILA. MAS TEQUILA” her voice yelled out to get the attention of anyone to giver her more. Almost like a child. Instead she got some looks over the use of her Spanish and the sounds of asking what mas meant. Her scowl grew with these sounds and she glared at the bar tender who was already busy serving the million of customers asking for more. Her eyes like wolves as her happy mode pretty much died from the lost of her happy juice. “Cazadores right now, Ahora.” the bartender eyes went to her as if he she was crazy. She matched his view pretty much yelling out she wanted her drink. Getting the hint, the bar tender scattered around to find what she wanted and once the air showed her the light of her enjoyment, Analeigh quickly became overjoyed again. Quickly running to Analeigh, the girl began to pour herself some more and there again she began to clap again. Resembling a monkey wind up toy. Taking another shot of the drink, feeling the taste all over her lips, Analeigh let out a gasp of pleasure as she gulped every bit of it. Her eyes darted towards the karaoke stage as she waited for another song. Everyone seemed to have lost the nerve with no one appearing on to the stage.
“Oh come on. Someone has to have the dick to get up there.” She waved to the bar as she waited for anyone to respond. Everyone too busy with their own drinks Ana glanced around to see anyone. A David Bowie kind of guy to entertain her but no one. It was almost as if it was time for her to find another bar until someone in the crowd yelled at her to go up there. She first ignored it or probably didn't pay attention as she went in to the dive of another shot.

HE’S A REAL NOWHERE MANSITTING IN HIS NOWHERE LANDMAKING ALL HIS NOWHERE PLANS FOR NOBODY "You're sooo fucking lucky I love you, Xavier!" the junior laughed as he tugged his boyfriend along besides him toward the source of all the excitement. "Now come on, where's this Mardi Ass thing or whatever you were telling me about?" Not that it was hard to find. All you had to do to find this little "get together" of sorts was to follow the scent of alcohol and the sound of party people - not that hard to do. There was also a rather amusing trail of beads and feathers 'pon the streets and heading into the various clubs that lined the pavement. "What the hell are these beads for?" This was not the type of "party" that Jack usually went too. These types of things were probably more his boyfriend's style but, being the good lover that he was, the seventeen year old had decided to accompany Xav. Why not? Xav, drinking, dancing, partying - he couldn't think of anything better to do.

In retrospect, Tim had probably consumed a teensy bit too much alcohol. Either that, or the karaoke bar had installed some sort of swaying floor feature. Almost he minute he stepped inside, he felt a wave of heat roll over him, likely radiating from the masses of people trying to dance and drink. Were he sober, he would have found it slightly disgusting, but now he mostly ignored it, grinning madly at anyone who caught his eye. However, he did pull off his mask, letting it dangle around his neck in an attempt to cool down. He'd lost track of Carter a while back; five shots ago, to be more accurate, but he was sure his friend would pop up sooner or later. In the meantime, why not indulge in a bit of karaoke? He began to make his way toward the stage, but soon forgot his goal and ended up in the middle of the dance floor, waving his arms wildly around his head. "WELCOME TO THE HOTEL CALIFORNIA! Na na... LOVELY PLACE.... na na na HOTEL CALIFORNIA! Any... la la la..." Not bothering with the unknown words, Tim belted out the general tune at the top of his lungs, accepting a few enthusiastic hugs and high-fives from the people surrounding him. "This is great!" he called out to no one in particular. He couldn't remember ever having this much fun in a bar before. Where had he been for the past seventeen Mardi Gras?
As the song neared its end, Tim elbowed his way to the bar, ignoring the angry reactions of the crowd gathered there. "Drink!" he yelled, pleased to find one thrust into his hand almost immediately. He took a large gulp, then looked around, wondering why the sound of off-key voices had stopped. His eyes widened in shock as they fell on the stage, and he set his glass back down in excitement. Right! He could go up there now! He began to move through the crowd, then paused. How lame would it be to do karaoke alone, though? Very. He would probably get booed right off the stage for being a friendless moron. Stumbling a bit, he turned his head, searching for someone to drag along on this spur-of-the-moment performance. However, he quickly became distracted by a girl yelling right in his ear. Frowning more out of annoyance than anger, he looked at her, sizing her up. She looked familiar. In fact, she looked like Ana. Tim stared at her for a moment, struggling to think. He was fairly certain he didn't get along with Ana, though he couldn't quite remember why... something about a lap dance. What a stupid reason to hold a grudge. As everyone began yelling at her to get up on the stage, Tim's lips turned up in a wide grin.
"Ana!" he yelled as she went for another shot, "Ana, come sing with me!" Without waiting for a response, he grabbed her by the arm and started pulling her through the crowd. "It's going to be awesome!" he assured her, now calling over his shoulder. He half expected her to punch him in the face for touching her, but he was also sure he wouldn't feel a thing if she did. He was pretty much invincible, actually. As they detached themselves from the crowd, Tim stepped up onto the stage, looking down at his new duet partner. "What song should we sing? We're gonna show 'em how it's done, alright?" He started to giggle, then stopped himself, trying to figure out why the letters in the song titles wouldn't stay still.

Now now, Noah wasn't one for drunken debaucheries and all but with the cries of Mardi Gras outside his windows, not even he could fully resist the urge to go out and around. His curiosity and sense of fun just convinced him to find a mask out of the air go out and check the celebrations out. He wasn't so out of the loop that he didn't know what was going, more like what to avoid but still his eye's weren't completely safe from the common Mardi Gras tradition. People doing ridiculous things from the alcohol, the body shots, the slip n slide to get to the end of the keg to then just get a billion times more drunk, he caught that. Nothing he had hoped not to go through soon but he had to admit, the fun people were grabbing his attention. Not everything was evil in what those special episodes of tv show said but he himself hadn't experience anything of that wild caliber. Not that he wanted to get into that sort of trouble, but Noah wanted to have the same fun the woo goers were having. The only thing all of them had in common was the alcohol. Well there were the beads to throw but he didn't want to do that. But with the thought of beads, Noah turned his head up to the sky where a pile of beads happily landed on his lap, well his arm. He took a hold of the beads, staring at them for a moment until he heard a complaint. “HEY! That was for the girl!” Noah blinked confusingly as he turned his heads towards the direction of another man.
“Oh oh...... I'm sorry.” he let out quickly as he watched the man approach him with red in his eyes. As he stood up right near Noah, he looked at him with plain confusion. He hadn't done anything wrong but with the expectation of something happening Noah hadn't really know what to do. “ Im sorry im sorry im sorry.” he repeated again and again now knowing what else to say. The man who glared at him just examined him up and down, as if he was looking for the perfect spot to punch but he just shoved Noah off, taking the beads away from him. Shoving Noah off, he watched as the man walked off to some other area throwing the beads at a female. What the man originally attended , leaving Noah off to go out to explore again. What he planned on doing.
Noah quickly walked off away from the area before he got into any more trouble. He hustled to more of the area, watching more of the beads flying off and more of the drunkenness. He was best making sure to stay away from trouble now. But the thrill of just wanting to have a thrill tonight was still flowing through him. Noah didn't always wanted to be the guy who had to make sure someone didnt get so drunk they ended up hitting on an older person who would take them to the back seat of a car where destination roach motel was its doomed. Noah was careful though. AS he made he decided to finally stop wandering and enter the doors of bar club place.
As his legs entered the room immediately he glanced around. Things were so bad right now in here. He glanced around before he took a seat in one of the bar stools at the bar. Just planning to use the seat just to check things out and come up with what to do right until one of he waitresses came up to him. “Free drink sir?” Noah looked at her with hesitation, not really knowing to refuse or take the risk.

O.U.T.F.I.TMerrick missed the parties back home, and Vegas in general, so she was almost hesitant to get herself dressed up for the Mardi Gras block party. She knew that there was nothing Jacksonville could do to make her feel at home, but for shits and giggles she decided she'd at least give it a shot tonight. She found her best Mardi Gras outfit, just a bunch of shit thrown together that she'd had on supply in her closet, and after finding her keys and cellphone she grabbed her jacket and threw it on as she made her way out of her apartment building. She found her car in the lot, but as she opened the door she decided against it as she shut it and instead called a cab to bring her into the city. It didn't take long for the cab to drop the black haired girl off as she stepped out and could immediately hear the music overwhelming her. She saw the crowds of people already, half drunk she might add, and the colorful outfits and beads gave her an almost excited feeling in the pit of her stomach. Jacksonville surely was transformed into a party she'd be proud to attend in Vegas, so without hesitation she took those faithful steps into the crowd as she walked around squirming through the herd so she wouldn't be elbowed. She could see beads flying above her head, and of course the occassional screaming drunk lifting their top, if you're going to flash your tits woman might as well grow some first. She looked down at her own chest for a moment time before she slinked out of the crowd to get some air. She saw a bar coming into view as she shrugged and figured it'd been worth a shot to check it out, so she walked in and looked around, and her eyes fell on the bar as there'd been a few empty stools. She grinned as she walked over just in time to hear a male being offered a free drink, but she could tell that there was some hesitation in him, "he'll take it, and while you're passing 'em out i'll have one too." She watched as the bartender gave the both of them a free drink and she picked hers up from the bar looking at the boy. "You don't have to drink it, but you won't stick out like such a sore thumb if you have it in your hand," she smirked as she took a drink from her glass and looked back over at him, "You do want to blend right? Cradle that bitch all night and you'll be set to jet," she stepped away from the bar and waved at the boy who was probably staring at her clueless. "You have a good night now darling, stay out of trouble," she added that last part laughing some knowing he probably would. With one more wave she waved herself a goodbye as she stepped through the crowd with her drink, but right before she got to the door she took that last gulp and put the glass on a table near a couple, and with that she was back outside in the crowd. She licked her lips as she carefully watched the people pass by her just trying to figure out who she should step up to.

outfit since I forgot it in first post -- should editBree should have stayed home tonight, or at least drank a bit more responsibly, but this was the first time in a couple of weeks that she could really let loose and just enjoy herself. So much shit had happened in the past month that she wished she could just forget, so at least tonight with the aid of alcohol she'd be able to do that. She knew it'd be right back at the front of her mind when she woke up, but right now that was not important, and apparantly the nerds weren't either or else she would have been nicer when she came back to Kayla talking about them. She heard Kayla's response and glanced over her shoulder at the boys huddled around one another, "ew, that's just nasty, pathetic even." She found it hilarious how some people could get off on the most minor of things. "We're here to have fun Kayla, you don't have to be my mother tonight, loosen up and have a drink," she smirked when Kayla told her she did not have to flash anyone. It's not that she was going to or anything, but it was always nice to keep that as an option at least. Hearing her talk about finding a guy brought an enormous amount of laughter from Bree as she stared at her best friend, "A guy who respects me? Men don't respect me, they want to sleep with me, and after that they're jerks, some are even jerks before sleeping with me," she rolled her eyes thinking about Preston for a second, and as she did she had the urge to just throw back another shot or something, but sadly there wasn't alcohol around the spot they'd been in. "Men are bitches and I don't need 'em," she loved drunken rambles, most everything she said tonight wouldn't be remembered in the morning. "FUCK MEN, FUCK 'EM!" A crowd around her cheered and she laughed and cheered along as someone passed her a bottle as she popped the top off and took a swig, "I could get used to this."Bree could feel herself getting touchy feely with her best friend as she draped her arm around her and kissed her cheek, and hearing that she loved her too made Bree grin like an idiot, and a rather drunk one at that. "Take an easy? Easy's my middle name," she waved her hand bringing her finger to point matter of factly right at Kayla, a gesture she picked up from Derek which had her quickly withdrawing her hand and pulling it to her side. She did not need to think about him tonight, he was just another complication that she was trying to avoid, "people think i'm easy because I have friends, how fucked up is that?" She shook her head thinking about how Preston and her had argued, and that caused her to pick that bottle up and swig some more as she tried to make kayla believe that she'd calm down, but chugging the beer probably wasn't helping her case. She figured trying to show her that she'd keep it easy tonight was worthless, so instead she asked her to dance and pulled her into the crowd, and as their bodies got close Bree forgot her troubles with both Preston and Derek, and for once all of her drunken attention was focused on her best friends body near hers. She had to make sure their dance looked good enough for the crowd around her, and from the whistles they were getting she was sure it had. She looked around and out of the corner of her eyes she could see another blonde dancing in their direction, and that excited Bree for some reason. She loved her mardi gras mask, but she figured the woman was just heading somewhere else so she didn't pay much mind to her, but soon she had heard someone talk to them and she turned to see that woman she'd just saw not too long ago. "Time? Time?" Bree looked at both wrists but could not see a watch, not like she ever wore one, but tonight she looked as though magically one might appear. "Oh wait, I know!" She pulled her phone out of her pocket and pressed a button so the thing would light up and she could see. "It's uh, about that time," She tried to get the small numbers to focus, but it wasn't working so instead she turned her phone towards the woman so she could see. "Want to know what other time it is?" She walked that step between her and Kayla so she was right beside the other girl as she leaned in really close as if telling her the biggest secret in the world, "time for a drink, pretty girl!" She had no idea who this girl was but she looked beautiful, and tonight Bree seemed to be doing a good enough job feeding everyone around her compliment after compliment. "I for one could use another drink," she threw her hands up in the air and realized she'd still had some left in her bottle, so she burst out laughing at the dumb realization before taking the last of her alcohol and looking at the empty bottle, a frown placing itself on her lips. "It's dry, damn, I will fetch more!" She once more thrust the empty bottle in the air as she grinned and gave Kayla a quick kiss on the cheek again, a form of appreciation it would seem, and soon she'd found herself leaning in to the new woman beside them and kissed her as well not even realizing it as she trampsed off into another crowd. It did not take her long before she was dancing her way back through, and this time she'd had three wine coolers in her hand, "all I could find close, the drink of the mighty pansies," she offered one to both girls that were standing there before she opened up her own and tossed the cap into the crowd. She put the bottle to her lips and took a swig, the sweet flavor taking her off-guard since she hadn't had anything fruity all night, but it could keep her mouth wet and at least had a small amount of alcohol in it and she could always use something strong to chase it down afterwards. "Cheers," she tapped her bottle with a random person struggling to get through as she took another drink. That is when she noticed the man that'd been on the other womans shoulder and her eyes widened, "Shit, whoa, where'd you come from? Damn, I didn't get you a drink," she frowned and looked at her bottle, "want?" she motioned for her bottle that'd had some alcohol swishing around in it still. NOTES. Bree is all over the place right now, I should really keep her focus on something haha.

She laughed at the boys huddled around each other and smirked back at Bree It is she agreed We could have so much fun teasing them she said with a smile. Well it was true. Kayla would find that rather funny, they seemed pretty stupid anyway and since they had been so excited with Bree just flashing her bra, who knew what they would do if they played around with them some more. Plus it seemed like Bree would have no problem doing that either, she was just trying to keep her mind of anything else she had been dealing with, Kayla had also lost Preston too, just not in the way that Bree had done and she knew that she was hurting so much more. She gave a little wave to one of the particularly ugly looking nerds, and he smiled back, to which she cringed and laughed at Wow, they are not desperate at all she laughed. It would be so easy for them to joke around with them and tease them, she would be up for it because it did sound fun, she quite enjoyed being a tease, especially when the guys didn’t know it wasn’t going to lead anywhere. We are WAY out of their league she smirked They wish they could get girls like us.
When Bree said that they were here to have fun, and Kayla shouldn’t mother her, she just grinned widely at Bree. Why the hell not right? she nodded. If that was what Bree wanted, and it would keep her fairly happy then she would do it, right now she kind of let herself be influenced by her, which didn’t normally happen but this was about drinking and Kayla just couldn’t help herself. If she could drink and still make sure Bree was okay then that would be a plus, but even so, they both had plenty of friends who would look out for them. Whether any of them were around right now, she did not know. But why shouldn’t she have fun? She could see Bree was making the most of having fun and at least trying, that was a good sign. If she could go along with that it would be even better and hopefully make Bree a little bit happier too. She knew that nothing she did could make her one hundred percent happy, but she was going to do her very best and try to make it happen, and go in stages, taking one step at a time was always a good thing.
Well they should said with a nod and took a sip of her drink that she had randomly grabbed. But let’s not talk about men tonight this is not about them she said and took a long swig of her drink and soon it was empty. Kayla was a lightweight and once she had had a few drinks she found it hard to stop. You’re right there she smiled when Bree said men were bitches. Well most of them were, Preston certainly was, he couldn’t even man up and just hold out for the girl he actually loved, instead he went after some other girl who looked like a Barbie clone. As the cheering crowd went passed and gave Bree a drink, she too got given one and then laughed at Bree’s comment Yeah... She smiled at the grinning Bree beside her, well she was glad to see her smiling at least and that was what she wanted to see. The mood would be different tomorrow but she wasn’t going to think about that right now.
When Bree said people thought she was easy because she had friends, Kayla got serious. That is really fucked up she nodded. She knew of the person she was meaning, but wasn’t going to mention their name. She could have been meaning Mr. X or Preston, or anyone else for that matter, but if she was meaning people specifically she could pick out names. Well you aren’t she shook her head. And if it makes you feel any better, people think I am easy as well she told her. She knew it probably wouldn’t but she wasn’t going to let Bree think there was any reason why she would be singled out. She Knew she wasn’t like that and she also knew Bree wouldn’t really care what others thought of her, but it was all stuff that had built up. Those people don’t matter and don’t deserve how awesome you are though she told her. They just don’t matter, and their opinion is just.... she tried to think of a word to use but she couldn’t think and blew a raspberry instead. I didn’t know what else to say about them she laughed, hoping Bree would find it just as amusing. Kayla could be rather immature at times.
Kayla was having fun dancing with her best friend, and she hoped it was helping her out a little forgetting all the shit that had gone on in the past few weeks. She didn’t know about her and Derek, Bree hadn’t told her but with Preston, she had not needed that and it was just....well it made Kayla mad. She just did not understand men sometimes, and a lot of the time it wasn’t really worth it. Most of them were only after one thing and she still believed that. But there were a few that were good and nice and she wasn’t going to mention it now, but when the time was right, she would find a guy who would make her happy and treat her right, there were still a few out there, and for someone as amazing as Bree there just had to be. When the girl came over to ask for the time, Kayla couldn’t help but laugh along with Bree. She didn’t know what time it was, she had taken hers off for the sleeve things. ummm....not sure, sorry She then watched Bree get her phone out and looked over herself to see what the time was, but things were going a little burry for her as well. Kayla looked at the girl and kind of thought there was something a little weird about her eyes, surely that wasn’t just the alcohol effect right? She shrugged it off though and would worry about that later.
Kayla nodded when Bree said it was time for another drink. It was weird, alcohol just seemed to make her more thirsty...but that was the point right? Why don’t you finish that one before you get another? Kayla laughed and smiled at her. She then watched her down the last of her drink. She wasn’t encouraging her, she was suppose to be looking after her, but damn, she could still have fun and let loose. She didn’t want to be a complete party pooper because that was not her style. If there was a party, Kayla was usually there, she was just concerned for Bree. Alcohol did tend to make things seem better though, until the morning that is. She laughed as Bree kissed her again on the cheek and then the other girl who had joined them, then went off to get a drink and shook her head slightly with a smile. She did actually like drunk Bree but both of them drunk she remembered often didn’t end too well cos they usually got themselves in some kind of trouble and that was just going to make things more difficult and it was what she was trying to avoid. But for how long? Who Knew!
Bree came back not long after, handing a bottle to her and the other girl, she laughed about it being a drink for pansies. It will do Kayla smiled giving her a knowing look. We can save the more shots for later she winked at her. Thanks she smiled and took a big sip. You know, it’s not that bad she laughed I did think it would be stronger though she nodded. Before Bree came over a guy came over to Tori, she smiled at him but didn't really know what else to say. She had seen him around though. When Bree offered him her drink she smiled, she was going to say something but shrugged off, she had no problem speaking to them but she was more preoccupied with Bree right now, even if she was feeling the extent of the drink she was having.

What are you doing? Jake thought repetitively as he got dressed. It seemed to be a common thought whenever Jake had decided to go anywhere with the sophomore. This was pushing it. Not only would the twenty year old be with a sixteen year old in public, but there were going to be crowds and crowds of people. Jake sighed and slipped his shirt on. A plain black tee shirt over his torso and for his legs? Some fitting denim jeans. Jake lit a cigarette and pulled his jacket on. He didn’t even want to go to the Mardi Gras celebration. Especially with an underage boy. That would mean he’d have to pretend to be happy without the assistance of alcohol or drugs. Jake sighed out a puff of smoke and pushed his hand through his hair, giving it a messy, “I don’t care” look. He looked himself over once, and then was out the door heading for Syds’ place. On his way there, he finished his cigarette and popped a piece of mint gum into his mouth. His jacket might smell like cigarette smoke, but his breath wouldn’t.
Upon arriving at Syd's door step, Jake rubbed the back of his neck and let in a deep breath. He always worried what would happen if someone questioned them. What they were doing together. Why a twenty year old was with a sixteen year old. Jake honestly wouldn't know what to say. He was good at improvisation, and if needed, Jake could come up with a fairly detailed, believeable lie. But in this case, he wouldn't be able to. He'd probably stand there, stuttering. It made him anxious to think that. And now that Oliver was gone Jake couldn't use the excuse of Syd being his "little brother". Jake shook his head and knocked on the door three times, tucking his hands in his pockets and keeping his back straight. Man, what he'd do for a cigarette right now...

"Suddenly Seymour" ~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~Seymour placed the finally sequin on his masks hours ago. They wee sitting on his dresser, waiting to dry. This was his very first Mardi Gras. It didn't bother him that the celebration had come and gone so many other times in his life. He was just happy he was able to participate in one of them, especially with Jake. He walked over from his original spot near the window to the dress and picked up Jakes mask. It was the same as his, just the colors were in different places. The teen lightly pressed on it with his palm. It should have been dried by now, he just wanted to make sure they weren't flaking off while they were walking around.
He threw on some clothes and carefully placed his own mask over his face, pushing his hair every which way to suit him. "Yeah... that looks just about right." He said to himself in the empty dorm. When it came to outings with Jake that was rare, Syd wanted to look his best which was equally as rare. Well, he felt like everything was in order. All that was left was for the puppy dog eyed man to show up. The teen sat on his bed, scratching his Chinese Crested behind her ears and flipped on the radio. Some time had went by, but Syd wasn't worried. Jake wouldn't stand him up or anything like that right. His mask shifted on his face as he laid down and waited.
When all hope seemed to be lost, there was finally a knock on his door. Completely ecstatic, Syd grabbed Jake's mask and bolted to the door. "Hey! You made it.
he said in a low tone. He fiddled with the mask in his hand for awhile before giving it to the taller guy. "This one's your's... I.. I hope you like it. [/blockquote][/blockquote] Tag: Jaaake ♥ Words: 313 Notes: tee hee =3
