don't know what i'm getting myself into! just another day in paradise, right? that was the general thought going through my head. it was night time though, just past ten o' clock. the bar was bumping on this beautiful friday night. the music drew me in and the ladies got me to stay. the place was crowded but that wasn't a big deal to me. i had no social anxiety that would drive me away from the center of the crowded room, away from the dance floor, or from the hustle and bustle of people going about their own way, doing one thing or the next. some were already drunk and others were only just getting there. the designated drivers were obvious, as they were the ones who had no glass by them or weren't holding a beer in their hand. sucked to be them was my only thought. thankfully, i had walked here and could easily walk home or call a taxi. oh, the joys of having a steady cash flow thanks to mother and father dearest in germany.
walking up to the counter i sat on a red stool and twirled around until i met with the edge of the counter. my arms rested on it, making sure my rolled up black sleeves of my button up collar shirt didn't get messy. my legs hung down to the ground. clean white sneakers touched the floor, further up were dark blue jeans. my hair looked a little messy but for me that was my style. the usual scruff lined my lower facade as well. the bartender didn't seem to mind at all as she walked over with a flirtatious grin. "what can i get ya, handsome?" she asked in what sounded like a southern accent. it was hot but i knew it was their jobs to flirt. guys with girls and girls with guys. that's how they made extra tips after all. i knew from being a bouncer at baker's pub, but i was looking to score a new job eventually as a bartender. it was a matter of finding time to go to bartending classes on top of already annoying and hectic college classes.
"glass of johnny walker and a rolling rock." i said over the music, leaning in for her to hear me better. as she walked away i looked down at the black watch on my wrist. yup, only a little past ten o' clock and i was already bored. i was hoping something would happen tonight. anything really. i didn't want to bore myself into a drunken super after all. hangovers weren't anything enjoyable and i had class the next morning. that didn't mean i couldn't get a little drunk though. i just had to find some entertainment. i was pretty new to town still and only came for school. despite being in classes i hardly knew anyone and i hated that. eventually though i'd get to know people. it was just a matter of time, and hopefully coming to this club would spice things up a bit. people were friendly and flirtatious when drunk and that was the perfect way to meet someone. okay, maybe that was just my opinion.

because you feel like paradise and i need a vacation tonight It was hard looking sexy, but not slutty. Especially for a tomboy like Karsyn. She would pick out an outfit, and once she actually tried it on and evaluated herself, she would guffaw, because it'd be the exact sluttiness she made fun of on other girls. Shorts too short, shirts cut too low, and heels taller than they were themselves. Karsyn honestly could care less about looking sexy. After all, she was okay going out in a worn pair of jeans, her oldest pair of converse, and a t-shirt she bought from the Thrift store. Tonight, however, was a more special occasion, and that just wouldn't do. While she was had been awkwardly debating over buying an outfit at the Goodwill that seemed suitable, she knew it was the right choice when she stepped out of her room to present herself to her brother and best friend, and they both stopped ice cold in the middle of a video game to stare at her. Her brother had been first to break the silence by bursting out laughing, pointing at her and exclaiming, "You actually look like a girl tonight, Kar!" That in itself had made Karsyn blush, and in response she'd simply replied, "Yeah, but even in heels I can still kick your butt."
Kar's long time best friend had finally spoken by stammering out a few words, before letting out one simple sentence. "I...uh. You look great, Kar." She grinned at that, and got ready to go. Her brother would be watched by him tonight, and so therefore she had little worries, other than he not stay up all night killing brain cells by playing video games, and that they were sure to be in bed before she got back at whatever time in the morning, or there would surely be hell. With a kiss on the cheek to both of them, she called out the door, "Adios!" Car keys in her hand, Karsyn was able to get to The Quest half past ten, and she grinned. Perfect, she was right on time. Karsyn was an aspiring dancer, and she got most of her small town fame by randomly dancing in places, and tonight she had just so chosen The Quest because although a lot were just people who were looking for a good time, sometimes you got the rare undercover music producer, or video producer and well... bam. Plus, getting a few fans here and there would never hurt.
She waltzed right into the joint after flashing her ID at the bouncer, and stuck what little things she had on her in her bra or skirt pocket - car keys, license, and her phone. There, perfect. She slid right into the dance crowd, easing up on one boy who seemed at least somewhat of a good dancer, which was no matter because she'd only need him for another minute or so until the song changed. So, she danced with him, her hips moving rhythmically to the song that was on. Her arms swung wildly above her head, but as the song changed, she slowly paused, thinking for a moment. The song was Hold it Against Me, by Britney Spears, and Karsyn knew this was the song for everyone to stare at her, even if for a few moments. Karsyn used the random guy as her crutch for a moment, gyrating her hips against his before she urgently said to him over the music, "Push me." When he seemed confused, she said it again, shoving him a little, "Come on, push me!" That got his attention and he did just that.
Gracefully, Karsyn spun away with the force of his push, pushing her way into the middle of a group of people. Great, all eyes on her. She danced to the rest of the song, glad for the attention. This was what she wanted, down to a T.
After the song ended, and while she was pushing herself through the drunken crowds and boys trying to hit on her, she thanked those who genuinely praised her before flopping onto a stool seat next to another man, smiling at him nervously before yelling over the counter, "Hey, could I have a water? Bottled, please." With that she sat back on the stool, glancing at the blonde boy next to her. He was handsome, no doubt about that. But she wasn't here to make friends, or relations of any sort.

don't know what i'm getting myself into! as the bartender brought over the two drinks that i had ordered, a girl suddenly sat by my side. she sat on the stool beside me in a rather cute outfit that caused me to glance from the corners of my eye. she offered a smile that was rather awkward but to me it was a huge turn on. my head turned and i looked at her in return, smiling in a cheerful manner. she ordered herself a drink and as she did this i grabbed my own in my fingers, taking a firm grip and gulping down a good amount of the whiskey in which i had just ordered. followed by the warm and pleasurable burn was a good amount of the rolling rock beer that i ordered along side it. a lot of people i knew chased liquor with soda, but my thing was to chase it with beer or with absolutely nothing at all. however, tonight i felt like getting drunk and having a damn good time. whether that meant making a little bit of a fool of myself or not.
finally, after drinking a little bit, i looked back over at the girl. she was cute and that could not be denied. i smiled at her in a warming fashion that seemed very genuine. but how genuine could a guy in a bar possibly be? i tried my best to play the role of a sweet guy though and not one did my eyes look her up and down in the way that a whore type of a guy would. i was doing my best to show this girl some respect. so my eyes kept contact with her own as i spoke. "hey, what brings you here?" there didn't seem to be any need to hit on her quite yet. right now i was just trying to get to know the girl. this was my way of luring them in and making them interested. once they were interested in me and once they thought i was a real gentleman it was so much easier to lure them back to my house. from there the entire story was history. hopefully this girl would be easy like most of them in this town seemed to be.
extending a hand to the girl, i also stirred about. i twirled in my stool so that i could face her. i had my johnny walker in one hand as the other one was held out in her direction. i leaned in towards her to make sure she could hear me. "my names alik. and yours?" my accent was pretty thick but my english was very good so it took a lot of people a lot of time to learnig about me to know that i was from germany and not from america at all. however, when i drank, my accent was more thick than usual and it was very obvious that i wasn't from around here. she would probably figure that out quick. especially since i kept on drinking. usually i kept myself decently sober but tonight seemed like a good night to let loose. i chugged some more of my drink down, without chasing it with beer this time, as i waited for the beautiful stranger's reply.

because you feel like paradise and i need a vacation tonight As Karsyn awaited her bottled water, she glanced over at the man sitting next to her once more, out of the corner of her eye, as he downed a shot of who-knew-what. All she was certain was that it indeed was alcohol. Karsyn was never an avid fan of liquor, even when she got the chance to attend a party back in high school. The way it made people scared her, but it wasn't that she had a problem with people who drank. She had a problem with herself consuming it. Plus, she wanted to set a good example for Karlos, her younger brother. As well, she was sure that if the Social Services and their social worker ever got a hold of her drinking, let alone drunk, there would be complications of a proportion Kar was not even able to think about. Kar had basically been the mother figure in his life since social services took them away when Kar was just nine - Karlos was two. As much as she thought about what it would have been like to have a normal life, going out to parties and hooking up, she always was thankful for the path she took and fighting for the rights to her brother.
When her bottle of water came, Karsyn turned a little to loosen the cap, gulping down a sip before closing the bottle again, looking up to find that the stranger was making full eye contact with her. She gave a slight smile, as if to say "Okay...why are you staring at me?". That was until he spoke, and she found herself interested in his accent. Kar herself had a slight Spanish accent, but it wasn't anything compared to his. She gave a slight grin, and spoke easily. "I was just dancing." It seemed odd that a man, looking like he did, came here alone, which led her to think that maybe he was just out looking for a good time to get laid...Karsyn shook her head, stopping the thought process. Even if he did think he was going to get a good old bed warmer out of her, it wouldn't matter because it wouldn't happen. "Where are you from?" She asked him, apparently referring to the accent that was coated thick over him when he spoke.
Karsyn spun on the stool to face him better, propping one elbow on the bar counter while the other hand sat in her lap, dwiddling with plastic bottle. Seeing that his hand was extended toward her, she placed her own in his, giving his hand a slight introductory, firm shake. "Nice to meet you. My name's Karsyn." She took her hand out of his slowly and easily, running it through her hair, which was a mass of brown curls, a few stray hairs sticking to a few places where perspiration had formed due to dancing in the heat of the dance floor. "So, what brings you here, then?"

don't know what i'm getting myself into! the girl only got a bottle of water and it made him wonder if she was of age yet, or if she only came to the club to be able to dance. she seemed like the type that would want to spend an entire night dancing too. that wasn't a bad thing though, it was actually really cute. everything about her had a cuteness to it, which may sound sort of strange out loud and that was why it was a personal thought. it even remained that as she replied to him that she had been dancing. okay, so he was definitely right on that one. when she grasped his hand and told him her name he was a little surprised though because it wasn't what he'd of predicted. she seemed like the type of girl to have the normal name of ashley or becky, something preppy honestly. however, he was very wrong. maybe trying to figure this girl out in his head wasn't the best idea. it was a bad habit of his though, to judge people and guess who they were before he ever really got the chance to know them. by doing so he had been rude to people who didn't deserve anything close to it.
she drank her water and he drank some more of my own drink. it gave him a pleasure burn in his stomach but it was one that adolf enjoyed. he knew drinking all too well which wasn't always a good thing to admit. in fact, he very rarely ever told people how often he drank. and this girl wouldn't be the first he'd blab that out to. she continued the conversation in a different direction anyways, sort of. he could of easily said to get something to drink that wasn't from his own personal stash at home and to meet some new girls, but adolf knew that wasn't the right way to go about meeting someone. "to be honest, i'm not too sure why i'm here." he replied with a soft laugh and his eyes swept the dance floor and the crowd of people that had formed. that's when it clicked in his head she had asked another question. "and i'm from russia by the way. sorry about that. so many thoughts in my head right now it's hard to keep track sometimes." with this he gave another little laugh and smiled sweetly.
adolf considered whether or not to keep the conversation going or if he should ask the girl to dance with him. she seemed like the type that would deny him though. however, that was just him judging her again and he knew he couldn't keep doing that. that could easily ruin his chances of actually getting her to come to his home. "do you come here to dance alone? or are you the predator type?" again he looked over at her with his blue gray eyes and smiled. "you know, the type that comes here looking for a guy to snag for the night and dance away with?" he continued his first statement. adolf was known to joke around a lot and he hoped that karsyn would find his way of going about conversation amusing as well. hopefully it didn't scare her off. that was the last thing that he wanted to do! she was cute and seemed really friendly. those were both pluses in his mental book. he didn't want this one to get away. she was the perfect type of girl to get to know and to invite over sometime. that was, if he could play his cards right.
