School was just another thing to spend all that free time that Millie had, well that was what she thought anyway. She did care, and she did want to get somewhere with her life and education, she just didn't see why she, and all those other students, had to sit through lesson after less on things that they were never going to use in their day to day activities. Serious, how does algebra come into anyone's life on a day to day basis, can anyone tell her that? Millie had two classes left in the day, but in reality she just did not want to go to either, she was tired from being awake most of the night doing homework and wanted to have a good nap. Yes, she was a good girl and did her homework when she was required to, she wasn't all that much rebellious, though she really was in other aspects. She would tell someone off for bumping into her if she was in a bad mood, beat someone up for saying some nasty things about her or someone she cares about, but she would always go home and do that homework that was assigned to her.
Just before the bell rang to go to her next class, it was break time, she headed out to the field. No class for her, there was nothing for her to hand in so she didn't see the point in going. Unless there was some task handed out during the class, but she could just get it later, teachers always had a nasty habit of finding her, lecturing her and giving her the task that was needed. It annoyed her really, she hated when she was called over by a teacher, or they found her and interrupted what she was doing, couldn't they wait for her to find them? She was headed out to the field when she heard one of these said teachers coming her way, though she was talking to someone else, she knew that if she didn't hurry that teacher would be talking to her and giving her something that she had missed out on getting in that class that she had skipped the day before. Millie ducked into a nearby room and was relieved when it was empty. She glanced out to see the teacher walking by, alone this time, and walk off into the distance. Then she came out of the room and headed back toward the field.
Once she was out there, the bell rang. People began heading into the school for class, whereas she stayed hidden behind a tree so no-one would see that she was still out there. Once she was satisfied that there was no-one else out there, she sat down, leaning on the tree that she had been hiding behind. Putting her shoulder bag on the ground she opened it and produced a packet of cigarettes from it. Getting one out along with a lighter, she put the packet back in her bag and lit the said cigarette up, putting the lighter back in the bag. Taking a long draw, she rested her head on the tree and closed her eyes.

WE BUILT THIS ON A SOLID ROCK IT FEELS JUST LIKE IT'S HEAVEN'S TOUCH - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Although she took eleven classes in her Senior year, Carleigh couldn't understand why she had so much free time in her days at Jackson High. And it also seemed as if it was just yesterday that she just graduated from elementary school. Although, it must've looked like a day because she had fun at Jackson, well, most of the time of course. Life obviously couldn’t be perfect, even if one thinks that he or she has a “perfect” life. Carleigh stood five feet from her bed in her dorm in Martinetti Hall. Her dorm. It was like those were the perfect words to say. She knew she sounded quite awkward if she even thought that. But right now, her dorm was the perfect place for Carleigh to confide herself in. Why? Was it because Carleigh felt so alone nowadays?
Carleigh left dorm fifty-five in Martinetti Hall to go to the Sports Field, which was a very long walk if she might add. She didn’t exactly want to get put in the Senators Hall because it was pretty noisy down there because it was the most adjacent place to the field. Carleigh would naturally prefer the peacefulness in Martinetti Hall. No other comments on that. The field was getting closer to the brunette as she stepped on one end. The field was basically empty except for a few people. Most likely because the bell had just rung and the sports ground was getting emptier and emptier by the minute. A tree somewhere in the distance seemed to grab hold of the girl’s eyes.
Someone was sitting underneath it. More often than not, Carleigh wouldn’t notice things like these, but there was something familiar about that person underneath the tree. Was the person a familiar face? It wasn’t as if she had only seen one blonde in her life. She’d seen lots of them even since she was born, for Pete’s sake! There was no time to figure out who the person was. One of the only solutions was to go there and take a better look --- and that was what Carleigh did. As she edged closer to the large tree Carleigh noticed that most classrooms were lighted and had people inside. On average, she would be in there either trying hard to keep awake or listening whole-heartedly, it obviously varied.
Carleigh flipped her hair to the side to make it look wavier. It wasn’t for making herself look much more beautiful, but it was just her tendency to do so. While doing just that, she was thinking a very much criticized reaction. ”Why the hell is someone using a cigarette smack in the middle of the day?!” was the thing. If truth be told, Carleigh hated smokers. And druggers. And illegal loggers. It was just doing wrong to the environment, but where was she to stop it? Either way, Carleigh sat down a foot away from the person, not knowing what to do next.
”Hey.” Carleigh said with a light smile.
It gave the impression to everyone that from tip to toe she forgot about everything else. Perhaps it was the outcome of Carleigh wanting to talk to someone during this opportunity of a free period.

She could never get how some people just simply didn't like people who smoked. Like seriously, get over it and worry about your own problems for a while, it wasn't like it was your life that was being ruined with that little cigarette. Maybe Millie was slightly judgmental with people like that, of cause unless she already knew said person. But she wasn't one of those people that meant for her to be that way, she was a generally nice girl, she tried to help out, but it just rarely went that way, she'd either get annoyed with them, or say something that simply pissed them off, and it was all over, nasty bitch would come out then. But those that knew her sort of knew what kind of thing pissed her off and simply stayed away from those subjects and didn't do those things. It was easy, really.
She was enjoying her little cigarette, eyes closed, taking a few deep drags and holding them in for a long while. That was until someone spoke, it was a familiar voice, and because it had taken her a little by surprise, she coughed a few times and turned her head in a way like she was going to rip their head off. And she probably would have, if she hadn't seen ho it was standing before her just before she was about to open her mouth and yell at them. Her expression changed from one of slight anger and annoyance, to one that was excited and surprised, rather quickly too. "Carleigh." Millie said simply, somewhat surprised that one of her friends found her out here, though the blond was very very sure that Carleigh hadn't been looking for her, she was sure that she hadn't looked for her in a long while.
You see, Millie and Carleigh had known one another since they were children. They used to be really good friends, but then high school came along and they grew apart. It was nice to see her, possibly it gave them a chance to catch up and whatnot, see where their lives had taken them since their last proper talk. "Sit down, sit down." She said as she scooted over a little, making room for her friend to sit next to her. How've you been. I've missed you y'know." It was true, and Millie made damn sure that she said it in a way that it came across that way. She tried to be a honest person and to make people feel good around her, it was just that attitude and temper that ruined things sometimes. Damn the way she was.
notes; this is a pretty crap post, just threw it up when i got home =) and yes, they know one another already. and your post was fine, i liked it =D

Carleigh's brain noticed and remembered the familiar voice coming from the person. It was like the person who was there was one of Carleigh's friends before, although Carleigh couldn't seem to recognize her until she spoke Carleigh's name.
"Millie? Millie Hutchence?" Carleigh gasped accordingly.
It had been so long since she last spoke -or even seen- Millie. That moment was like childhood memories flooding back to Carleigh, the times when they got along so well in those days. After high school those times seemed to disappear off into the air.
"Sit down, sit down."
Carleigh edged towards Millie under the tree. She couldn't exactly bear the smoke coming from the cigarette, but she couldn't complain either. She took a deep breath to the side
