Hope's dad woke her up at 7am. She had begged to go with him to work today and he had finally said yes. She drug herself out of bed and into the bathroom. She took a quick shower. Getting out, she brushed her teeth then realized she had less than an hour to get ready. She quickly dried and straightened her hair. It was blonde with brunette roots...for now. She threw on some jeans, some flip flops, and a t shirt. She looked at her hair and decided to wear it down. She put her panda hat on. She looked perfect. Hope stuffed her ipod and cellphone in her purse. She quickly put on her necklace and earrings as her dad called for her. "I'm coming!" She yelled back. She grabbed her promise ring and put it on. She smiled at her reflection and grabbed her sunglasses, purse, and scarf. She ran downstairs. "Dad?!" She called. Hope looked out the window and saw him in the car. She put on her scarf, sunglasses, and jacket and walked outside. She opened the door and got in. "Thanks for trying to leave me." She rolled her eyes and closed the door. They were silent the rest of the way there. Her dad pulled in a space at Pitts Studio. Hope grabbed her purse and got out. Her dad owned Pitts Studio. It was a dance school at the bottom where her mom taught and a recording studio at the top where her dad worked. Hope followed her dad inside. Once they reached the top floor, Hope picked a chair, rolled it to the corner, and made herself comfortable. She took off her sunglasses and scarf and shoved both of them in her purse. She grabbed out her iPod and sat down in the chair, putting her purse on the stool beside her. Hope put the ear buds in her ear and blasted her music. She watched from her corner as her dad did his thing. He interrupted her whenever he thought someone was good and asked Hope's opinion. She had seen tons of people come through, but it wasn't until he came in that her attention was off of herself and the music that was blasting in her ears. Biting her lower lip, she watched intently as he talked to her dad. words;; 391 outfit;; right here!tagged;; Gage (: notes;; sorry it's a little boring :/

Today was the big day. Gage had to wake up at 7:30 AM on a Saturday morning, but it would be worth it. Normally, he went home on the weekends. But he had stayed at school this one time to meet with a music producer over at Pitts Studio. He’d been trying to get them to contact him back for weeks, and he had finally gotten a meeting. Assuming appearance were not of primary importance, Gage threw on some clothes, pausing briefly to shake out his hair to make sure it wouldn’t stick awkwardly to his head. He brushed his teeth, obviously, but ate nothing. He had never been one for breakfast.
Gage felt himself becoming increasingly nervous as he approached the studio. By the time he’d reached the entrance door, his hands were shaking and his head was pounding. He had no reason to be so freaked out, he knew. If they didn’t like him, then they didn’t like him. It wouldn’t be the end of the world, and at least he’d be able to say he tried.
After waiting I the lobby for ten or so minutes, Gage was finally called in. He went in, talked to a few people who told him what was going to go down, then went on to play a song that he had written a few months ago. Yeah, he made a few minor mistakes, but overall, he thought it went pretty well. Afterwards, he was talking to Mr. Pitts again. He tried to listen, but there was this really pretty girl in the background. Again, Gage attempted to nod and look interested, but he was totally helpless because the girl was staring back at him. She either thought that he was cute or stupid looking, one of the two. Oh shit! he thought, quickly glancing down at himself. In order to maximize sleeping time, he had woken up about ten minutes before leaving for the studio, and thus did not look his best. He wasn’t even wearing a shirt under his sweatshirt, not that anyone would be able to tell unless he took it off. Still, his hair was a bed head-y mess and his jeans were old and worn. Some people made fun of him for it, but Gage really did care about how he looked. He felt like if he didn’t look his best, then people wouldn’t respect him as much. Other than that, though, he was laid-back about pretty much everything.
Once ‘The Pitts’ (a silent nickname Gage had given the producer) was done talking, Gage smiled widely at the girl and winked, making a small clicking noise with his mouth as he did so. He wished he had showered this morning, but he could still go for it. He decided he’d try to talk to her sometime today, if possible. outfit.Notes: my next post will be better. I promise! I don’t know much about the music business or anything, so sorry if I messed any of that up. D:

Hope listened as he played. She smiled. He wasn't that bad. She gave her dad the nod of approval. She went back to her music...momentarily until he came in to talk with her dad. She turned down the song and stared at him with a gleam in her eyes. Hope felt her heart pound out of her chest when she realized he was looking back. She glanced down and looked back up to find him still watching her. She sat up straight. She couldn't look like a guy at a time like this. She pulled at her hair. Crap, she had the stupid panda hat on. She cursed herself inside, but never took her eyes off him. He was hot. It wasn't until he smiled at her that she felt her heart drop. Had he just made a noise as he winked his eye? Wait...he had winked at her. Hope knew then he was totally into her. She took out an ear plug, hesitating her next move. She looked from him to her dad. Oh what the heck, why not? She threw her iPod in her purse as her dad walked away. She got up and walked towards him. Hope was always a go-getter. She smiled and straightened her hat, pulling at the hair hanging out. "Um...hi." She was way beyond nervous. Alright, she was going for it. Gage stood coolly as she came towards him, looking kind of nervous. She was gorgeous, and her panda hat only made her look even more adorable. “Hey, Hope…Pitts,” he said, mimicking her hesitation before she said her last name. Putting a hand on his chest, he introduced himself. “I’m Gage Ruben.” And then something hit him. “Wait, Pitts? Like, that dude is your dad?” He jerked his thumb over his shoulder in the general direction that Mr. Pitts had gone. It would explain why she was just randomly sitting in here. It made sense. He thought about asking her what she thought about his song, but decided not to. He didn’t want her to think he was pretentious or egotistical or anything like that.
“Do you…like…do you write music, too?” For some reason, Gage couldn’t get a hold on his words. The combination of Hope being jaw-droppingly gorgeous as well as a well-known music producer’s daughter was making Gage more nervous than he would usually be in this type of situation. He adjusted his hat, thinking how odd it was that they were both wearing one indoors.
“Nice panda,” he said, raising his left arm slightly to point at her hat. “It’s cute.” notes: I like Nice Hope.

Hope smiled as he put his hand on his chest and introduced his self. "Well hello Gage Ruben." Hope couldn't hide her excitement about this guy. He was giving her butterflies and this was her first time meeting him. Then he actually understood who she was. He had finally adjusted her last name. This was usually when everything went downhill. "Yes..." She let out a breath. "I'm Hope Pitts, daughter of Matt Pitts, famous music producer. It's not anything special though..." Hope bit her lip. She made a silent prayer that he wouldn't ask her about his music. He was good, but she didn't want him to think that this music thing was her life. "I like music. Write it?" She paused, hoping he wouldn't be to disappointed. "No...I don't. Sorry." She smiled when she realized he was getting nervous. "Hey...don't be nervous." Hope smiled and touched his arm. "I'm still a normal girl. Just forget my dad's a music producer." She realized what she had done and quickly took her hand away. She didn't want him to get the wrong idea about her. Hope lifted her hand up to her hat. "Um...thanks." She smiled nervously and glanced away. Not anything special? Hmm. Hopefully she wasn’t one of those girls with freakishly low self-esteem. To be honest, Gage couldn’t stand them. Maybe she just didn’t want him spazzing out over her dad’s status. At least she liked music. It was fine with Gage if she didn’t write, though. It was pretty hard to do, really. “Hey. No need to be sorry. If it’s not your thing then it’s not your thing; I understand.” Gage shrugged.
“I’m not nervous. Come on now,” Gage told her, enjoying her hand on his arm. It was sort of a lie, but it wasn’t like he was having a panic attack or anything. He just didn’t want Hope to think that he was an on edge guy, because he definitely wasn’t. “I’d say you’re much prettier than any normal girl,” he continued, really starting to kick into his flirtatious mode now. “Thanks. I like yours better, though.” Aww, she was all shy. It was cute. He figured she wasn’t normally like this, or else she probably wouldn’t have come over here and talked to him without any prodding. Hope let her guard down a little when she realized he didn't really care about who her dad was. She couldn't help, but smile big at him. This was a guy she would let her dad meet...again. He was drop dead gorgeous and totally layed back. He was so her type. Hope opened up even more when he said her not writing wasn't a problem. This guy was starting to grow on her. Hope smiled at him and raised an eyebrow. "Not nervous, huh?" She laughed. "That's a big lie. That would be like me saying I don't think your cute." Hope paused. She was such a loser beyond repair. She wanted to smack herself. "Thanks..." She smiled then it dawned on her what he said. "Wait, you think i'm really pretty??" She couldn't believe her ears. She smiled. She had finally let her guard down. "It's not that cool...actually I've wanted to try on yours." Hope paused. She couldn't believe what she was about to do. She took off her hat and sat it aside, smoothing down her hair. She smiled as she reached up and took off his hat, putting it on her own head. "How do I look?" She asked giggling. "I hope you don't mind?"It was then Hope looked towards his head. She looked at him. "Curls?" Hope took a step towards him. She exhaled then smiled. Hope reached up and touched one, wrapping it around her finger. "Cute."words;; 257 outfit;; right here!tagged;; Gage (: notes;; her shell is officially broken...

Gage laughed out loud. She was funny, as well as gorgeous. Speaking of which…she thought he was cute. Always a plus. “Yeah, you’re pretty.” He didn’t want to be all creepy and go into details, but he wasn’t lying. From the way she was acting, you’d think being called pretty wasn’t something she heard a lot, which Gage found hard to believe. Now, him being called cute, that was a different story. He was sure quite a few girls found him attractive, but it was rare that they were this forward about it.
Gage didn’t mind if she wanted to try on his hat, not at all. He leaned forward so she could get a better grip on it. “Looks awesome. I think it’s actually not the quality of the hat, but the fact that you look good in everything. You even make my rag of a hat look cool.” As he spoke, he shook his hair out, running one hand through it afterwards. “Yeah. It’s hard work, but I curl it every morning.” That was Gage’s attempt to be funny…he said it a lot, whenever someone commented on his hair’s refusal to stay flat and straight.
He grabbed her panda hat and put it on. “It’s only fair. If you get to wear my hat, then I get to wear yours.” He grinned and pointed at it. “What do you think? Is it the hat my head has been waiting to wear?” Notes: I thought I almost lost this post, and I was freaking out...but I didn't!

Hope smiled. He had the cutest laugh. "Well thanks." She smiled. "And yes. It's true I think you're amazingly cute." Hope smiled. She had always been straightforward. Especially when she really wanted something...or someone. And right now, Hope wanted Gage Ruben. There was no doubt in her mind that by the time he left, he'd want her too. Hope batted her eyelashes dramatically, to be funny, when she had on his hat. "I look good in everything, huh?" She laughed. "You've never seen me in the morning before i get all cute, but thanks. And your hat is not a rag. If it was, I wouldn't be wearing it." Hope smiled as he made the joke about his hair. "You're funny." She laughed softly, letting go of the curl. She rested her hand on his arm until he asked about her hat. It was then she realized how extremely close they were and took a step back. "Sure, go ahead and try it on." Hope looked at her hat on his head. "That's definitely all you." She laughed. "You look way hot in it. That pink bow just tops it off." Hope giggled this time. "But seriously, I like it. You can wear anything too and still look good." She smiled. "Besides the hat makes you so irresistably right now. Any girl would have to agree with me."words;; 236 outfit;; right here!tagged;; Gage (: notes;; Hope is flirting like crazy haha it kinda sucks though

Wow, even Gage was surprised at how well he was hitting it off with Hope. They were talking like they’d known each other for a while, instead of only a few minutes. He put a hand to the pink bow on her hat when she mentioned it. “Oh, definitely. Pink has always been my color, you know.” He laughed with her, happy that she’d said he was not just hot, but WAY hot. Maybe it wasn’t such a big difference, but Gage felt like there was.
“Do I?” Gage made his face become skeptical. “I don’t know about anything. I’m sure I wouldn’t be able to pull off a dress.” He took off her panda hat and held it out for her to take back, flattening his hair with the other hand. After that, he wasn’t sure what to say or do next, though the conversation was going smoothly. So he looked around for ideas as to what to talk about. Spotting the words on her shirt, he let his finger hover about an inch from the middle question mark. “There’s something wrong with your shirt. It’s supposed to say Gage.” He poked her lightly where his finger was, nodding. “Tee-shirt companies these days. What have they come to?” Notes: It didn't suck! I can't post tomorrow by the way, sorry!

Hope smiled. Wow, she was talking to this guy like they were long lost best friends instead of strangers. What the heck...you only live once right? "Hmm...I can definitely tell." She said at him mentioning pink as his color. "It makes your eyes all cute and sparkly. Again, totally irresistable." She smiled as she gestured towards his eyes. She was loving this whole conversation. They were definitely hitting it off. She laughed at his dress comment. "Well other then a dress..." She grabbed his hand and squeezed. "You're cute don't doubt yourself." She smiled and let go taking her hat from him. She stuffed it in her pocket, showing off her blonde and brunette hair. "Uh thanks. I suppose you want yours back so here." She took off his hat and handed it to him. She looked at him as he pointed to her shirt. "What's wrong with it?" Hope asked looking down. It looked okay to her. Did she have some huge stain she didn't notice. She looked at him again and brushed her hair out of her face. She laughed when she heard what he said and poked her. "Oh my gosh. I didn't even realize that."She smiled and looked past him, noticing her dad standing in the doorway looking at them. "Um...excuse me for a minute. I'll be right back." She walked out into the hall with her dad, closing the door behind her. She let out a sigh of relief when she realized her dad wasn't mad at her for talking to the guy while he was out. Then he made his comment about the guy. Then gave her a promise to keep. She rolled her eyes and nodded her head walking back into the room. She closed the door and smiled. "You're hired!" She said walking over and giving him a hug. words;; 319 outfit;; right here!tagged;; Gage (: notes;; it's okay. this is my first time logging on today

Alright, this girl was perfect. Gage decided this as well as the fact that he absolutely had to ask her out on a date as soon as possible. Right now would be too creepy, though. Later. After he’d gotten her phone number and all that jazz. He squeezed her hand back when she grabbed it, not wanting to let go as soon as she did. “Well, thanks,” he said, laughing at her telling him not doubt himself. Taking his hat back, he put it back on and adjusted it. He normally would’ve let her keep it, but it was cold as hell outside and he didn’t want to deal with that.
When she started making an exit, Gage was afraid he’d gone too far with the whole sweatshirt thing and she was going to tell her dad. Too soon? Oh God…had her Dad been here the whole time? Gage felt like a total idiot. He checked his phone as he waited for one or both of them to come back. No messages. It was weird, because he didn’t really like long texting conversations, but it was just depressing to see “0 New Messages” all the damn time. After taking way longer than he should have to check the time, he just stood there for a minute until Hope came back in.
She came back in smiling, so hopefully it was good news, whatever her dad had said to her. And it was! “Really? That’s great!” he said, as he hugged/picked her up, putting her back down after a few seconds. It was entirely possible that she had pulled some strings for him, which felt like cheating, but he would take what he got right now. If she was willing to do that for him, it meant she really did like him, at least so far. “Hey, so what now? Do I need to sign some shit, or do you wanna come out with me to celebrate?” There it was. The offer. Would she take it? It would probably just be for coffee, but that was fine for a first date…-like thing. notes: Sorry that took a while!

Hope smiled as he squeezed her hand back. That was a sign of affection, right? That obviously meant he liked her back in some degree. When she let go, she automatically wanted to hold it again. His hand was warm and she was definitely liking that about him. She nervously brushed some hair out of her face. "You're welcome." She said watching him put his hat back on. Hope figured there had to be a mutual attraction. When Hope hugged him and he picked her up, she was surprised. This guy was great and he just kept getting better and better. She smiled as he put her down, resting her hands on his shoulders. "Yes! You did it! And trust me, you deserve it. You were beyond amazing in there." Had she really complimented his talent. She had never done that in her dad's studio. It was sort of a rule of hers...but she had broken it for him. That meant something right? It was then she heard what he next said. It put her at a loss for words. Then she remembered her dad and his rules. She took her hands off his shoulders and stepped back. His stupid promise he made her keep. It had never bothered her before, but now. Now there was Gage. "There's this promise...well it's sort of a rule." She paused. "I can't date the guys my dad signs. He thinks it'll distract them from the important stuff."Hope rolled her eyes. Her dad's rules were really pissing her off. She had basically done all that flirting for no reason. She got herself noticed for nothing. She sighed and shook her head before smiling. "My dad is gonna come and tell you when you have to come in to sign these papers or whatever." She made small talk because she knew her dad was watching. "He wants everything to be legal so you'll have a chance to get your manager or parent to look over the contract." She paused glancing back to make sure her dad was gone. She turned towards Gage and grabbed his hand. "Fuck my dad, okay? I get what I want...and I want you. He won't fire you because he doesn't believe in that stuff." Hope paused making sure everything she had said had sunk in. She was breaking the rules and for a good reason. Her dad would just have to get over it. She smiled at him, releasing his hand. "So about that date..."words;; 429 outfit;; right here!tagged;; Gage (: notes;; it's okay( :

Gage smiled at Hope’s praise. She was sweet, she was pretty, and she stroked his ego. She was clearly perfect girlfriend material. He’d been about to hug her a second time when she suddenly backed away from him. Gage automatically took a step back, too; it was a reflex. He listened with obvious disappointment as she explained to him her dad’s rule. He immediately started creating a pros and cons list in his head. Getting signed was obviously a big deal, a chance that he might not be lucky enough to get again. On the other hand, there was a girl that was so noticeably into him that seemed to be just his type.
He snapped out of his thoughts to hear Hope talking again. Contracts…signing…blah, blah, blah. His parents would sign it, for sure. Unless it stated that he had to become a human sacrifice or something. Her next words surprised him, in a good way. She was all of a sudden fierce, taking his hand in hers. Gage started grinning like an idiot. She wanted him. It was flattering. Though, he wasn’t sure why she’d brought up the whole can’t-date-my-dad’s-clients think if she was just going to ignore it. He decided to just follow her lead, since she seemed to know what she was doing. He didn’t want to get in trouble with Mr. Pitts, but he figured that Hope knew her own father well enough to believe her when she said he wouldn’t fire Gage.
“Alright…well…where would you like to go?” Better to let her choose the place. He didn’t want to take her somewhere only to find out that she hated it for whatever reason. Maybe he could throw out a few suggestions, though, in order to save time in case she was indecisive. “Starbucks?” he paused to think. The popular coffee shop was literally the only place that was coming to mind right now. “Or…like…really early lunch, I guess, if you’re hungry.” That would open up a lot more options. Gage counted on his fingers as he listed some. “There’s Denny’s, KFC, Wendy’s…or anywhere else you’d like to go.” Gage took Hope’s hand back into his as he continued speaking.
“I rode my bike here, so we’ll have to walk unless you want to get seriously injured trying to double-ride with me,” he told her, not even considering that she might have a car. He’d just automatically assumed that they were the same age from the start, and he had no reason to believe otherwise. “If your hands get cold, you can use mine as gloves,” he said, meaning his hands that were almost always warm or hot, no matter what the weather outside. If Hope was wrong, and Mr. Pitts did confront him, Gage would show him that he wasn’t a douche, and he’d treat Hope right. Words: 473 +coding Notes: kinda cheesy but oh well haha

Hope exhaled. She was actually gonna do this. She smiled. "Um..." Where would she like to go? She listened to him name some places. She loved Starbucks. It was definitely the greatest place in the world. Hope looked him. He was really cute with his long curly brown hair and eyes. He was definitely her type...at least so far. He snapped Hope out of her thoughts as her took her hand into his. She smiled at him as he spoke of the bike. She laughed and let go of his hand. "That's a long walk." Hope smiled and walked over to her purse. Hope picked her purse up and searched for her dad's keys. He had given them to her to hold. But her dad would literally be here the rest of the day and since her mom would be here shortly, he wouldn't care if she took his car. She took the keys out of her purse and held them up for him to see. "My dad has a Range Rover." She smiled. "And legally...i'm allowed to drive it." She bit at her bottom lip and walked back over towards him. Taking his hand into hers, she looked into his eyes, smiling big. "With my naturally cold hands...I think I like that whole hand warmer idea."Hope smiled. She was definitely gonna this like guy. "Now about our destination..." She tapped her chin with her index finger. "We could go back to my house? It has everything." She paused. No one would be at her house. Well Izzi and the kids might be, but McKynzi had moved and Alexi...crap! "I should warn you my sisters might be there though...we could go get my car and then go somewhere.
