{OOC: sorry for the shortness and uncreative-ness, I'm just sick so I'm running a little low on muse } ASHLEY.NICOLE.PRIEST
- She left her dorm with a book in hand, hair pulled up in a quick pony tail. She was just wearing tattered jean shorts, a salmon tank top and cheap flip flops. Ash needed to finish the book for a class, but she also needed to get out of her dorm, and what better way to do that then go to the courtyard?
- The brunette made her way across the campus, the "park" in sight. She entered, dodging the occasional skate boarder and biker while making her way to an empty bench. She uncovered the book and began reading, eyes dancing off the colorless page. It was quite boring, but Ashely was required to read it.
- A soft breeze blew past with the occasional white could pushing across the sky. Strands of her brown hair blew across her face, and she brushed them away with ease. Ashley shifted. Then shifted again. 'God this book is boring,' Nicole thought. She placed the book down on her lap and stared at the sky, depressed that she actually had to read it and write a research paper in a week.

New Jersey was nothing like Russia, and as Kaiser walked out of his dorm into the fresh, open air, he quickly felt the difference. He let out a sigh and tried to figure out what there was to do. Kaiser had been living at Jackson High for nearly two years but for some reason, he was still unable to get used to the difference in temperature and other climate differences. However, he decided to ignore it for now and began walking towards the courtyard.
Although there wasn't really much to do there, it was his favorite hangout place. It was where a lot of people went when it was nice outside or if they just needed a place to go that wasn't too crowded. Today, there wasn't too many people out so he didn't mind being there.
He was lucky enough to not have to worry about homework that day, which mean he could come here to just relax. Which was exactly what he planned on doing. As he took a seat somewhere in the courtyard, he spotted, what he assumed to be a freshman, reading a book by herself. The expression on her face showed nothing but pure boredom and it made him smirk to himself. What harm could talking to her do? Maybe it would give her something to brighten up her day.
With that thought, Kai jumped to his feet once more and began making his way over to the place where she was sitting. "Looks to me like you could use something a bit more entertaining?" It was an easy way to start off things, but then again, he usually tried to be outgoing, not that it always worked to his advantage.

ASHLEY.NICOLE.PRIEST She moved her eyes off of the sky and onto the approaching person. He was looking in her direction, and she assumed he was appraching her. 'Who is that?' she pondered. 'I don't think I've ever spoken to him . . . '. When he was obviosly talking to her, she couldn't help but smile.
"Yeah . . . any ideas?" Ashley spoke with a laugh, looking up at him from where she was sitting. 'I suppose he's kind-of cute . . .' she thought, but quickly snapped out of it. She barely knew him! He could be an ax murderer or something, althougth that wasn't likely. Ashley giggled at the thought.
Another strand of brunnete hair fell in front of her face and she brushed it away quickly. It was times like these that she wished should would've been better dressed, but what she was wearing showed off her natural hour-glass figure and almost perfect slightly tanned skin. 'Hopefully I don't have stains on my shorts from healping paint the barn . . .' she thought nervosly. Whenever she socalized with anyone she liked to be well dressed, and today she wasn't planning on being "social".

One thing that Kaiser had never been really amazing at was trying to figure out something to do. It was one of his weak points. "Well, with a pretty girl like you, anything would be fine by me." His Russian accent was very apparent when he talked and he wasn't sure if that was going to be a good thing with this girl or not, but he hoped it would be. A lot of the girls gave him compliments on it. He could never figure out why most girls were into accents from foreign countries, it was odd to him. But then again, to him, he didn't think he had an accent.
"But I suppose I should properly introduce myself. The name's Kaiser, or Kai." His name wasn't very common here, although, his last name wasn't either. How often did you find someone with the last name of Morozov and it got properly pronounced? Not very. He sat down next to her and glanced at the book she was erading once more. "I'm going to have to say that it wasn't a book you had the chance to read and took it, right?"
While people in Russia talked a little different than those in other countries, he had taken to how American's spoke. It wasn't hard for him to transition because his parents had been prepping him for America since he was little. However, his parents were still located in Russia which gave him the freedom to do as he pleased over here, without them being able to ridicule him.

ASHLEY.NICOLE.PRIEST She smiled, and was blown away by his accent. His first comment made her smile more. Ashley placed the book on the bench and turned herself more toward Kaiser.
"I'm Ashley." she spoke, words revealing a slight southern accent, although she thought she had no accent at all. The third comment he made she had trouble understanding, not because of the pronunciation, but the structure of the sentence itself. "Pardon?" she asked politely. She knew it wasn't his fault, but to be honest she didn't care if she couldn't understand him. His accent alone was good enough to sweep her off her feet.
For once she didn't have her head stuck in a barn. She was socializing, and actually enjoying it. The thought of Titan was pushed to the back of her head, which was so unlike her some would say it wasn't even her.

Kai bit his lip, she hadn't been able to understand him which he figured could either be a result of his thick accent or that he wasn't amazing at American grammar just yet. "Sorry. I was saying that, by the look on your face, you didn't choose to read the book?"
He felt that her name fit her well, she had a pretty face to go with a name that sounded just as pretty. Although, Kaiser was also very into treating women with respect and equality. Anything else just wasn't good enough to him. Unless of course he was doing it to make his mother mad, which it sort of did when he would come home with a girlfriend that he didn't try to dominate. He shook his head at the thought of his mother getting mad at him, like usual.

ASHLEY.NICOLE.PRIEST "Yeah." she said. "Its a really slow read." She smiled at him. Ashley saw him shake his head, interested as to what had up setted him, but she passed it off. He probably didn't want to talk about it, and she hadn't known him long enough to ask.
"So . . . how long have you been at Jackson?" Nikki asked, trying to start up conversation. Listening to him talk made her melt, even if he was cussing her out. She was interested what his home in Russia (she could tell from his accent) was like, as she had always wanted to travel out of country, but the timing for the question wasn't right. Ashley would have to ask Kaiser later.
Her desire to travel originated when she and her family went to New York, and she fell in love with traveling. Ever sense she had traveled out of state she had felt the strong desire to see the rest of the world.

"I would have stopped reading it then." While Kai was a very respectful and responsible person, he was also rebellious in some ways. Mainly school, he never did much of his school work but always managed to ace his tests. He was sure it was only because they were a little more advanced in Russia and they had to learn things earlier than those in America. A lot of his classes were boring to him and he never felt the need to do work that he felt he had done previously.
"Since my freshman year. My mom didn't really want me over there anymore. Things get worse there everyday. My dad wasn't very appreciative of his wife sending off his only son to a foreign country but it happens often there. Nobody wants there kids growing up in that environment." In all honesty, he was happy he had been part of one of the families that sent kids over there behind the government's back. Otherwise, he was unsure of what could have happened.
Now that he thought about it, everyone else that he had met had a different accent that was very noticeable, except for her. "You don't sound like you're from here either though. Did you move here too?"

"I'm sorry to hear you were sent away...or I mean the whole situation. Although If you never came here I would've never met you." she said as a smile spread across her face, trying to brighten up the conversation. "I come from a rich family in north Carolina. I grew up on a 1307 acre farm . . . It was great there. Horses everywhere. I started riding at a very early age. I was sent away this year though, and I have a feeling they're going to have me stay here until my senior year. Luckily, my horse Titan is being shipped down here to be boarded at Asher Stables. I've competed internationally with him."
Ashley really hoped she hadn't sounded spoiled. Her life really was "peachy". Nothing bad hadn't really happened, not a lot of drama. She just came from a generally "perfect" family. Sometimes it was frustrating though. Whenever she honestly told the truth about her family, most either thought she was a liar or a perfect bitch. It really upset her at times.
