"That will be twenty three twenty six, please." The woman behind the counter said as she rang up the stack of clothes in front of her. Her face had a bored expression on it, which is common among many. She continued to ring up the last few clothes as the girl across from her dug through her purse for the amount that was asked of her.
"Found it. Here you are."
The young woman said as she hand the money over to the clerk across the counter with a kind smile. At the moment, the young brunette had her long hair up in a pony tail that swished with each movement she made. She shifted slightly, allowing the flannel jacket over her shoulders to move as well. This was Reason Taylor, out for another day of shopping.
Sticking her hand into the pocket of her black skinny jeans, Reason smiled and took the clothes from the women as she handed them to her in a bag. Still smiling, she turned away from the counter and left the store, checking her phone to see what time it was and to see if she had any messages. At the moment, she didn't. It was nearly noon, she she shrugged, gripping the rest of the bags in her hands and headed over to another store.
Reason hadn't come alone of course, because who would on a shopping spree? No, she had come with one of her best friends, Evangeline. Heading into the entrance to Aeropastale, she looked around at the staff there, and at the people who were there, looking for her friends dark hair among the many clothes. Not seeing her, she began to weave through the clothes racks, searching.
"Evie, you here?"

Everyone loved to shop for something, it didn't have to be clothes in order for it to be called shopping. Evangeline Felcone always said that to people who said they hated it. Such lies, and everyone wanted to look good too. Then again, there were the few people who seriously didn't care what they looked like, but there weren't as many people who took that to heart as many as those who just said it. Evie could see why some people would say one thing, but deep down inside think another thing. She was one of those people a lot of the time. Evie dealt with a lot of confusion lately, and had taken this shopping trip with Reason Taylor to get her mind off of some things.
Evie had been clawing through the racks of clearance at every store she went in, she was a type of girl who loved to buy great things, but great things that were on sale. She hated to use her dad's money on things like clothes, so she tried to use most of her money on extra clothes. Then again, if there was something that just captured Evie's attention and wouldn't let go of it she would splurge, but it wasn't like anything crazy. Evie wasn't a girl who bought hundred dollar t-shirts or five hundred dollar pairs of jeans. Even though she came from a family with money that wasn't the way she rolled, so to speak.
In the midst of her in-depth shopping thoughts Evie heard someone call for her. She had just pulled out a cute, light summer dress that she thought looked cute when she saw Reason in her peripheral vision. She got untangled from the racks and grinned and hugged Reason, she was in one of those moods today.
"Have I told you how much I've needed this today? People are on crack if they don't think you can buy happiness," she laughed and put the summer dress against the clothes she was wearing and looked in a nearby mirror. Evie thought the warm orange and yellow hues of the dress really brought out her olive complexion which would be ten times darker once summer came around. Just to make sure she wasn't the only one who thought it was cute Evie held it up to Reason for a second opinion.
"So, what do you think? Should I get it?" Evie already had a large amount of clothes she was getting here, but literally all but two pieces were on major clearance. She was rather proud of herself, she felt like she had "shopping-senses" or something. Secretly she laughed to herself as she noticed Reason's large shopping bag.
"What did you get while I was in the midst of the clearance jungle? I wanna see!" Evie adored seeing what others bought and comparing tastes. It was like a game almost, especially if you thought you were the winner by picking out the better clothes, having the better taste, or something like that. Evie usually only did that when she shopped with girls she wasn't too close with though. She knew Reason had impeccable style.

"Have I told you how much I've needed this today? People are on crack if they don't think you can buy happiness," Reason heard her friend say. She smiled, a small laugh escaping her lips. This was why she loved Evie. She always had a way to make things funny, even if she never meant to. But with Reason, most people could tell the difference.
"Nice Evie. But I know how you feel."
Reason said, her small smile still on her face. "So what do you think? Should I get it?" Evie said next, and Reason then took a step back. She gazed at the bright sundress, looking it over, then nodded, her dark eyes sparkling as she did. She put down her bag, then looked back at Evie, raising her hands to give two thumbs up.
"Totally. It would look great on you."
Reason grinned."What did you get while I was in the midst of the clearence jungle? I wanna see!" Evie called as she eyed Reason's bag, causing the brunette to laugh again. Reaching into her bag, she pulled out what she had bought over at JC Penny's. It was a blood red cocktail dress, one that had cost Reason about twenty dollars even though it had about a fifty dollar value. Reason smiled again.
"So what do you think? To much?"

Half of the time they just went to watch other people and make fun of them, but it was still great bonding time. It sounded very mean, also, but everyone liked to people watch. Evie and her mom just use to make a sport out of it, and now Evie still continued the game in her head in honor of her mother. She secretly spied on an older man in the corner of the store watching two younger girls intently. Evie felt like she wanted to gag at the man's apparent gawking at them, but couldn't help but laugh inside. It was better that he wasn't looking at her, that'd be another story. Evie brushed off the guy, and turned back to the dress she was holding up. Evie grinned largely when Reason approved of it. "I just think it'll really compliment my skin tone in the summer. Ah, you have to come over swimming this summer!"
Evie's house was large and had a swimming pool which was perfect for parties. Plus, now that her gold-digging stepmother was constantly around Evie thought she'd do nothing more than approve Evie having parties all of the time, she'd probably even get her alcohol if she asked for it. Evie thought that might be fun, but didn't want to get her father in trouble. She loved him too much, although these days he seemed to forget more about his children and less about the troll he married. Evie rolled her eyes at the thought, but was distracted from her foul thoughts when Reason flashed a bright, deep red dress in front of her.
It took her a moment to adjust her eyes, but when she did Evie nodded up and down. It was definitely a sexy dress, and Reason could pull it off perfectly without it looking trashy or disgusting. If Evie had tried it she would have just looked like a cheap whore. She sometimes envied people who could pull off anything, and Reason was definitely one of those people. She had the greatest figure, and good looks. Sometimes people just seemed to get it all, but of course, that didn't mean Evie was calling herself ugly. She was just a different sort of "beauty."
"Wow, that'll look great on you!" she nodded, and tapped a finger against her lower lip in thought. "You got a hot date or something you're going to wear that for? I think you might give him a heart-attack or something." She laughed and grabbed the clothing she planned on buying now. Evie approached the check-out, and waited in line to pay. Usually she couldn't stand waiting for anything, but Reason was here and she had someone to preoccupy her. "Where are we headed next?
