ASHLEY.NICOLE.PRIEST - just taken life one day at a time . . . The pretty brunette sat at a table by herself, appearing to be reading a novel recommended to her by her Lit. teacher. She sat in silver heels and a short maroon flower printed dress, hair tumbling over her perfect shoulders. Being the new kid was hard, and being the new freshman was harder. Even though she looked like a junior, no one had even bothered to even say "hi!", so she was reduced to secluding herself at a Library table by herself, while the others were chatting among their friends. She had class with some that were obviously older than herself (from her perspective), as she had many AP classes as a freshman. Nikki had to admit she was slightly disappointed in her first week so far, and began to wish she had just gone to the public school back in NC with her friends, family, and horse. A sigh resonated from her vocals and now aqua blue eyes scanned her peers, longing to be among the laughter and amusement. Her head dropped once more, and eyes danced across the page, soaking in all of the literature while morning her high school social life. Aside from the occasional glance from guys, she had gotten no attention from her peers, and sadly the teachers merely sat her down at her desk, not bothering to introduce her to the class.
'If only Titian were here . . .' the teen thought.

Cadie was sitting in the library, listening to the teacher talking. She heaved a sigh. The teacher went on and on. Out of the corner of her eye she saw someone sitting alone, reading one of the novels the teacher recommended. The younger teenager looked to be at least two years younger. She shrugged a shoulder; she’d go over there after the teacher stopped her continuous talking, which was really giving her a headache. She rubbed her temples, sighing again. No… the teacher wasn’t giving her a headache… she was having a side effect from that bloody Lumbar puncture she had yesterday. Lumbar puncture headache. IT was only a minor side affect one could get when they have one. She’s been getting them for years… and she’s used to the headaches. Having had Leukemia, she’s been through so much already… Add her the history with her ex… and it’s far to much one person should have to go through.
She let her mind drift, she was hearing what the teacher was saying, but wasn’t focusing exactly. Once the teacher stopped speaking, and let them do what they wanted within reason for the class, she hopped onto one of the computers. ’checking her emails I bet she thought. She gathered her things, silently standing up, she walked over to the lonely girl. Quietly she sat down across from her. ”Hey. I’m Acadia, but call me Cadie. That teacher is so rude. She should have introduced you to the class. She’s the only teacher who doesn’t.” she said brushing the teal and black locks from her face, revealing warm green eyes. ”You new here? she asked curiously.

ASHLEY.NICOLE.PRIEST - just taken life one day at a time . . . Ash looked up from her book slowly to catch a glance at the person in front of her. Cadie. Decent Name.
"I'm Ashley . . . and yeah. I've kinda been ignored in all of my classes."
She had assumed that everyone at the school would welcome her with open arms, and by the first couple days be as popular as the coolest kids in school. Ha ha ha. Think again Ms. Priest. Long and silky curls fell in front of her face as she slipped them to the side with ease. 'maybe later . . . ' Nikki assumed half heartedly. 'maybe later the rest of the school will actually want to know my name.' Was she too hopeful? No, or at least she hoped not. Then again, if all else failed, she could always have her parents board Titan at the stable and she would have all of the company she needed . . . the chances of that happening were slim though, so she was stuck with making human friends. Ehh.
"I just got here from North Carolina about a week ago . . ." she added, trying to give some material to help start up a conversation. The only thing Ashley hated more than injustice was awkward moments and conversations. The only way to break that horrible silence is if someone has to leave or some funny guy lets loose yet another piece of comedy gold. Nicole was no funny guy.

Cadie saw the girl look up. She flashed the girl whose name was Ashley a smile. ”It’s nice to meet you. The same thing happened to me when I first got here.” she spoke at a softer tone, having gotten a ‘Shhh’ from the librarian. Cadie rolled her eyes. Actually the first person who talked to her, was Charlie, and that was maybe three days after she arrived at JHS. She hadn’t minded at all. She’d rather have been in the shadows, rather than in the spotlight. She was constantly careful of what she said. There’s always that person lurking around… that Gossip king… queen… whatever the hell he or she was called. Goes by Mister X. She was surprised with the way she spewed out her whole history to Charlie on her third day, that it wasn’t broadcasted across campus. That does not mean she hadn’t been ‘attacked’ by him or her before. She let out a light chuckle remembering his or her comparing her hair to a slush puppy. She was out there with her outer appearance. She refused to go back to her natural brunette color. Having so many bad memories… nope not happening.
She reached into her bag, reaching for her sketchbook, having already done the work for class. She started flipping through the pages, stopping at a random page her green eyes turned back towards Ashley. ”I moved here maybe six months ago from California. Originally I’m from England. I had to beg my parents to come here. I’ve met some amazing people here. You just have to give it time.” She said softly, her British accent coming to the surface. Sure her group of friends were kinda considered the ‘outcasts’ because they were so different, that didn’t bother them at all. She didn’t care what people really though of her. She glanced down at the page she had opened. A extremely realistic facial Mia… she had a soft spot for the horse. It had just broke her heart hearing what happened to her owner. She flipped to a blank page. ”How do you like the book? she asked
Notes: Mia is what the drawing would look like. Except a drawing obviously. –Mia’s a horse that a different charrie I used to have, owned. I just don’t have the heart to get ‘rid’ of Mia. Mia= 17.3hh chestnut Thoroughbred mare. –

ASHLEY.NICOLE.PRIEST - just taken life one day at a time . . . Ashley nodded as Cadie told her about her coming to the boarding school. Her attention was quickly diverged though when a drawing of a horse was reveled. "The books pretty boring . . . Is that your horse?" she asked, intrigued about the realistic drawing. "I've ridden for 13 years now and was just wondering if she was your's. I have a horse named Titan . . . right now he's in North Carolina but I'm considering having him brought down here to be boarded now knowing there's a barn."
Ashley returned the smile she had been given, and enjoyed being around the slight British accent. Finally a conversation with a human being had been made . . . her first in who knows how long. Hopefully they would grow to at least not hate each other. Enemies tended to gravitate toward her so she was always on the lookout, trying to put on a friendly face to at least shorten the length of the list of people. Nothing really ever seemed to go right, but Nikki considered herself lucky. Some kids had it much worse than she did.

Cadie smiled, she read that book too, finding it rather boring. She shook her head. ”No. Mia’s one of the school horses for the Equestrian Studies classes. She paused, letting the younger teenager talk. I haven’t ridden since I was little. I haven’t had time, things happened. I’d love to start up again at some point, but who knows if I’ll ever get back in the saddle. I knew her owner, sadly he was killed in a car accident a few months back. The only reason Mia’s still around is because she’s a favorite around the barn, and his mother just didn’t have the heart to take her away. She’s got a perfect temperament. You should bring him up. It must be hard being apart from him. My sister competes.” Cadie spoke softly. ”What’s Titan like?” she added, glancing up smiling again, out of the corner of her eye she saw a friend waving to her, she grinned and waved back. She tilted her head, trying to decipher what he was signing to his little sister. Zane had taught her a little sign language. Cadie had been so shocked when she met him, finding she wasn’t afraid of him at all. Everything she’s been through with her ex, has left her very skittish around most males.
She started a sketch of an angel, going into great detail of his dainty features, the shimmer in the eyes, his little nose, his pert expression, his long locks, glancing up occasionally when the teacher walked by, inspecting the work. She knew Cadie well enough that she got the work done early, and let her draw in class. ”You have finished the work correct? What are you drawing this time Miss. Memphis?” the teacher asked her tone clipped, but interested, looking over Cadie’s shoulder. ”Well… an Angel of sorts. It’s just a face and hair at the moment” she said glancing over to the girl rolling her eyes, the teacher ‘hmm’ed’ and walked away. Once she was out of earshot ”She’s also nosey. She asks me the same question every time I’m drawing in her class” she said chuckling softly.
Notes: Zane’s one of my other charries ^-^

ASHLEY.NICOLE.PRIEST - just taken life one day at a time . . . She nodded, saddened by the owner's death. Her eyes darted across the room, and wen the coast was clear, pulled out her iphone. She quickly went to her photos and pulled up a picture of him, handing the phone to Cadie.
"He's a 17.3 1/2 Dutch Warmblood Stallion. I compete on an international level for both Eventing and Hunter Jumping on him. He's the sweetist and calmist stallion you could ever be around." she would itmit it sounded to good to be true, but it was true, every word. She had been riding ever since she could walk with famous olympian trainers as her parents forked out the cash that they had a ton of. Because money was no issue, she could practicly follow all f her dreams. Nothing was impossible for her as long as her parents had the fourtune, but she was humble about it, as Ash knew that not all could be as privled as her.
She yawned, glancing back at the book she should be readng, then at Cadie. "If you want . . ." she said. "You could come down to the barn with me and we could ride together. Since you haven't been in a while I could teach you it again . . . after all, when you stop ridding, your skills go down the drain . . ." Ash chuckeled. It was ture, and she spoke from experience. Too many times to count Titain had gotten him self hurt and she was unable to ride for months, and when she got back in the saddle it was like a year of riding simply washed away. You can't just know what to do on a horse . . . you have to have practice.

Tyler had been one of the few people she trusted on campus besides Charlie. She watched as the younger teenager pulled out her phone, getting a picture from the looks of it. She gently took the iPhone into her hand, taking a look at the picture. ”He’s gorgeous” She glanced to the side, seeing the teacher walking up the rows again, she gently placed the phone on the table, and crossed her arms, so they were covering the phone. Once the teacher passed, she quietly passed the iPhone back to Ashley. ”Sorry. She would have confiscated it had she seen it.” she explained softly. She glanced out of the corner of her eye, watching Zane and his sister interact with one another. She dragged her eyes away and to the drawing she had started minutes ago. She sighed softly, glancing at her own cell phone, catching the time. Class ended in about ten minutes.
Cadie listened, she remembered her younger sisters horse. 15.3 hh Hanoverian mare whose name was Daisy, feisty little bugger she was. ”He sounds amazing.” she said softly. She’s been to shows with her sister and their equestrian team. She saw Ashley yawn, then glance down at her book, instantly she felt intrusive. The younger girl was supposed to be reading the novel, and not talking to her. She started drawing again, but glanced up, her eyes slightly wide. She smiled widely ”That… would be nice actually. I’ve been wanting to get back into the saddle, My parent’s have the money that I could. All the drama in my family has kept me out of the saddle. Well… the drama in my life” she trailed off, shaking her head. She wouldn’t go into detail about her past until she knew the girl better. While there were people she could tell her past to, she had to trust them. She trusted few people. She trusted females more than males though
Notes: MY muse… kinda MIA ._.

[sorry for the wait and shortness, I'm running low on muse and school has been really rough ] ASHLEY.NICOLE.PRIEST - Ash pulled her phone back gently and placed it into her purse, with one quick glance at the time. Ten more minuets.
- "I think I should probably get back to reading . . . but anytime you want to ride, just tell me and I'll be there assuming Tatian has been moved here by then." she stated, attempting not to sound curt or rude in any way.
- It really was good that she had finally talked to someone. Anything was better than consealing herself in a barn all day, and she was on the verge of making friends. STill, however, she wished for her horse to be here. Regardless of how many friends she had or how popular she was, she is and always will be longing for the comfort of her one and only true friend. Nothing would ever, EVER break that bond.
The freshman picked up the book again and buried herself within it once more. Oh how she longed to contiue this conversation somewhere eles; out of school. The book to be honest, was horrible, but she had to read it. Grades were everything right now, and if she didn't maintain and A average she would be taken out of the school by her parents, and she did NOT want that to happen.
