this may get me banned and i don't really care. i feel like i should be able to speak my mind and be who i am.
some people on here say they have a problem with me because my one character, kati a renz, is into drugs. BIG DEAL. i mean seriously, get the hell over it. because of it you don't want me creating a new character for you? you won't roleplay with that character or my other one that doesn't do drugs, and who relates to yours perfectly? i mean, that's truly PATHETIC.
people on this site need to LIGHTEN UP. they need to RELAX. people in real life change all the time. they adjust to new people and new surroundings. however, on here, people refuse to let their character's change what so ever or budge on their personalities.
i don't mind, honestly, because i've met a few people on here who are really cool and understanding, and who aren't so strict and closed minded. that's the only reason i stay here. because of the very few people i've met that are really cool. but to everyone else, OPEN YOUR EYES. you're so closed minded. it's so sad.
so stop messaging me, bitching. i don't care about your opinion on me. i will not change my characters. i don't care about you or your opinion. if i reply to your wanted ad, stop being a pussy and just say what you say in PMs in public. i'm not ashamed of who i am. why should i be?
i'm posting this because i hope it makes someone, anyone, open their eyes and realize this IS NOT real life. and you know what? if it was, the characters would change to their surroundings. they would do new things and meet new people. they would not stick to their own cliche groups. i seriously think everyone on here is a nerd who has never experienced new groups of people, drugs, alcohol, or popularity, just because of your close mindedness.
end of story.
go ahead and bitch and complain and try to prove a point in which i'll simply laugh and roll my eyes at (;

I like you. :3 huzzah for speaking your mind! Drugs are drugs. They're real. They happen in real life. Do I have a problem with them? Yes. With your character? ....that's silly. It's silly to have a problem with a persons character.

Let me start things off by saying that I wouldn't ban or delete a members opinion, no matter how ridiculous some of it sounds, and I could care less if you just laugh and roll your eyes at what I say. I feel that as the admin i'm bound to reply to this message.
This game has been open over a year and the characters you see around have grown and adjusted to it, and drugs are not a foreign concept to the people around here. Have you ever thought that it could be your approach that is turning them off? I don't know how you go about asking for storylines, but I highly doubt it's strictly because of the drugs. I had a complete wreck around here and both Jericka and Nikki (two who I find you personally calling out in this rant) had lines with him, and he was about as fucked up as they come, so I know that those members are not "nerds" and can/will plot their characters with someone who has a drug habit. As for the other members i've seen no other problems in the past striking up storylines with everyone, obviously if the games as PATHETIC as it sounds in this message we wouldn't have been active for over a year with at least 30 members. We have had members who keep coming back as well, so there's got to be something we're doing right if people can't just stay away. The drug arguement is flawed because I personally know they plot with drugged up characters.
The members around here are great and i'm glad you've found those ones that are willing to mold and change to fit your characters needs/wants, but those aren't the only ones worth sticking around the game for. I think all members around here are awesome for one reason or another, and just because you've had some bad experiences with just a few doesn't give you the right to make claims that ALL are PATHETIC and "nerds" as you put it. That's just not right and you're as far from truth and logic as you can get at this point. I feel that you need to OPEN YOUR EYES and look around at some of the lines we've got going on, and then you'd see that it's not so tight wound and boring as you think. We are not closed minded, not in the least, and I think that you taking out frustrations from just a couple members on a whole game is uncalled for.
This game may not be real life but it's based on it and I appreciate that my members are keeping storylines realistic. You're right, characters do change to their surroundings, but that doesn't mean they do a complete 180 and completely change. People change in real life but usually not drastically, little by little they ADAPT to their surrounds, but they do this while staying true to themselves. What's the point in creating a character that's just going to change every day because of a new thread? What makes real life roleplaying fun is having those flaws and morals, and without them it just gets boring doing whatever.
You couldn't be more wrong about the nerd comment, plain and simple, or about this entire post for that matter.
I appreciate members that voice their opinions but you can't say the entire game is at fault for a problem you've had with just a few members. Last I checked there are a lot more than just a few running around. Say "fuck it" and plot with someone else, it's that simple, and since this is JUST A GAME you shouldn't give it a second thought.

First of all, I would just like to point out that, while you tell us that "people in real life change all the time. they adjust to new people and new surroundings. however, on here, people refuse to let their character's change what so ever or budge on their personalities," you also mention "i don't care about your opinion on me. i will not change my characters." I'm sorry if I've misinterpreted your meaning, but it sounds like you're contradicting yourself. Of course, you haven't plotted with me (probably because I asked you to add strengths and weaknesses to your app, as I "expect everyone to tell you exactly who your character is in every single situation"), so I don't know your approach. However, I have managed to figure out that you have a tendency to be - for lack of a better word - rude.
First of all, you were disrespectful toward me when I politely asked you to make a few changes to our application, which is actually quite small and not very in-depth compared to most of the ones you find out there. Secondly, you say on the c-box that 'everyone' is uptight about their characters, instead of bringing the situation quietly to the attention of an admin and having it resolved in a more peaceful manner. You also added, for a brief time, a similar statement at the bottom of your sig. I'm sure many people took note of that and were put off by it, which is probably another reason for your difficulty in getting them to plot with you. And now you have posted this, which blatantly attacks our members and will certainly not make you any more popular among them. I don't mean to step out of line, but have you ever considered the possibility that it is your attitude, rather than your characters, which is the problem? I have seen some of your posts in plot pages, and in all honesty, you have a lot of interesting, unique ideas. But personally, I don't feel particularly comfortable roleplaying with you, as you have insulted most of the people on this site on several occasions.

i'm not going to lie, i don't read long replies when out of character. the only time i do is when i'm actually roleplaying.
i've just never been on a site where everyone is so closed minded. i'm shocked by it honestly. i've been on sites with over 100 members multiple times, and they were so much more friendly and exciting to roleplay with. ones here say their character would die if they met my character. that isn't very realistic honestly. and it wouldn't be a complete 180 change for them not to kill their character off. and the fact i was denied to roleplay a character for someone, because of my other characters, is what really got me to laugh. i was shocked that someone was that bitter towards my other characters.
honestly, what i wrote was a pretty drunken rant. when i'm drunk i write things that come into my head. and trust me, that was actually my nice way of putting it haha. all i was trying to say was that it's sad people can't open their eyes a little bit more and learn to live a little with their characters. don't we all roleplay to get away from the real world and be someone new? here it seems like everyone makes their character into who they wish they could be in real life and refuse to change that because that would ruin their "wanna-be" persona. it's kind of creepy.

I'm sorry, but the fact that you don't even bother reading long posts just makes you sound disrespectful. It's you're attitude more than anything, like kitty said, you are rude and how do you expect people to RP with you when you call us all uptight. Just because someone doesn't want their character hooked on drugs doesn't mean they are closed minded. People are ALLOWED to not like storylines, it happens. If they don't want that to happen with their character it's their decision.
I happen to have TWO characters who are either getting into drugs, or into drugs already, and there are other members involved with them, people on here are not closed minded, there are so many great storylines on here, and also as for the 'not being friendly' comment this is THE BEST site I've been on. I may not have been on many but I don't need to because everyone on here is amazing, I can honestly say that I think people are a lot more OPEN MINDED than you think and all the members around here are awesome and love new plots! Maybe you should just post in more plot pages and get involved. Instead all you do is bitch and that doesn't get you anywhere. You're insulting people around here who are awesome and since you came on here you've been nothing but rude. It's good that you can voice you're opinion, but when you are rude about it people just get put off.
As for living a little, it's not very realistic to have a character who is completely AGAINST drugs get involved with them is it? Or am I suppose to let them do it? I'm not denying it would be good drama but there is a line between 'realistic' and just plain stupid. I don't think people on here make who they want to be, that's just funny. Yes, people may base their characters on themselves but to be fair it's not how you see it at all. I really don't understand your problem. If people don't want that line, think of others or plot with someone else? There is no shortage of characters!

it may be disrespectful, but i have never been someone to read a long reply like that. if someone sends me a huge message on facebook i straight tell them that i didn't read the whole thing and only skimmed through it. i'm just not interested in a reading a whole long reply. i wanted to rant and that's it. it didn't mean i wanted to argue or bitch at someone. it was just at multiple people in general.
i'm entitled to my own opinion. for all i care, you can delete this entire thread. like i said before, i was drunk when i got on and rambling. it happens. it's not big deal. nor is it a big deal that i didn't want to read a huge response in reply to my rant.
at least i didn't lie and act like i knew what the whole thing said. i'm honest and straight forward. that comes off as me being a total bitch, but honestly, i'm okay with that because i know i'm a nice person. i'm just very different and opinionated i guess.

In that case, next time you feel like ranting, please refrain from doing it in an area where it can offend or upset people. If you have a grievance and actually want somebody to react or take action, then it's fine to let us know, but if you're just going on a drunken rant we would rather you try to be respectful and avoid unnecessary conflict. All of us admins take things like this very seriously, which is why you received such terribly long replies. There are forums where you can rant to your heart's content without having to worry about anybody actually caring: for example, here. And, if you want us to hear your opinions, please be prepared to accept our feedback on them. We took the time to read your post, and we expect you to take the time to read ours, so that issues like this can be resolved.

I shall keep this short and (not so) sweet.
People, in general, are dumb. They make dumb decisions. Drunken rant, for example. (guilty) and then replying to drunken rants (also guilty)
This is a game. Holyshat, who knew.
Arguing over the Internet = fail. Think about it.. You don't even know who you're talking too. My advice is to always drop it before it gets to that point and move on with your life.
My opinion on this site: <3
My opinion on the people on this site: <3
My opinion on the peoples characters on this site: <3
Okay I'm done. ^-^ Have a good day.

That's what I'm saying... it's quite difficult, for me at least, to tell the difference between drunken rants, which can be ignored, and serious rants, which require attention. And this IS a game, which means everyone should be able to have fun without being called close-minded and stuck-up. Maybe I'm overreacting, but I really don't like seeing stuff like this, and then being told that it was just some useless, drunken spewing of opinions. I don't want to argue; I just want to avoid something similar happening again, because it sucks for me. I'm glad you like this site - thank-you for saying that - and Kati, I'm glad you've found people who will RP with you and who you get along with. If you ever feel like going off like this again, even if you're drunk, please try to be considerate of the fact that not everyone has the ability to just ignore and get over stuff like this. That's all I'm trying to say.
