he stands at about 5‘, which is a pretty normal height for a boy his age. he’s rather skinny, which my parents say is a result of his being born five weeks premature. he has a feeling that they may be right, because no matter how much he eats, he can’t seem to put on weight.
his style is extremely important to him. most of his friends say that they don’t understand his look, but he likes it. for instance, he may take a blue dress shirt and pair it with a red tie, a brown sweater-vest, skinny jeans, and a pair of converse sneakers. it looks weird, sure, but it makes him stand out, and that’s the whole point, in his opinion.
personality: in a nutshell, he’s a pretty nice guy. he doesn’t exclude people just because of what they look like or who they hang out with, and he’s never mean without a reason. he’s always been a reclusive boy, but he’s been trying to be more outgoing as of late. he’s been hanging around lots of different people, and they‘ve been helping him come out of his shell. on a negative note, he wants more than anything to be accepted. he’ll do whatever it takes to be accepted by the older and more popular kids, even if that means doing things that he wouldn’t do otherwise.
likes: drawing, theater, the color brown, meeting new people, dogs, old plays
dislikes: people who judge him before they get to know him, amateur actors, girls who show a lot of skin, people who use the word ‘rubbish’, the color grey, blue pens, blood
strengths: he doesn’t let emotions get in the way of making decisions, he’s a science whiz, he’s good a retaining information
weaknesses: he lets people talk him into things that he knows are wrong, he hates history, he has trouble speaking up for himself

It was a rare occasion when Jay awoke before noon, and an even rarer occasion when he attended classes. Yet there he was, walking down the street toward St. Jude's. How much did his life suck if he couldn't think of anything better to do on a Thursday morning than attending school?
He looked at his watch as he arrived at the bottom of the stairs. Fifteen minutes; his first class started in fifteen minutes, and going to his locker wouldn't kill that much time. After deliberating for a second, he decided to take the 'scenic' route, through the girls' part of the school.
He strolled slowly through the halls, catcalling at the girls he passed. Most of them shot him scandalous looks, but a few actually looked interested; he had to make sure to remember their faces so he could track them down later.
He turned the corner and slowed his pace even more; there was only one hall left before Constance Billiard connected with St. Jude's, and he wanted to enjoy the few minutes he had left before classes began. It was a good thing he did, or he probably never would've noticed the figure leaning against the wall between a set of lockers.
Jay and Frankie had been a thing once-upon-a-time, but once he'd gotten shipped off to Batavia, he'd become a memory. None of his old crowd had bothered to look him up since he'd gotten back, Frankie included. Now there she was, five feet away from him.
The question was whether or not he was going to acknowledge her. He could easily just keep walking without a second glance at her. On the other hand, he was willing to bet his last eight dollars that the two of them could come up with something better to do than attend classes. That thought settled matters, and he closed the gap between the two of them.
"Hey, Stranger," he said as he approached her.
