personality:
Lux is that one girl who doesn't quite belong anywhere. She's smart and hardworking, but prefers not to participate in class. She isn't overly outgoing, but she is extremely direct; meaning if she wants to talk to you, she will. Lux looks at the world with two lenses; one that constantly questions and the other that constantly creates fantasies. She lives mainly within her own mind. Because of her dreamy nature, she plays many secret games with herself and others around her, though they likely never realize what's going on. Lux enjoys pushing buttons and pulling levers just to see what will happen. However, she does it with the best intentions never desiring to hurt her classmates in any light, unless she's seeking revenge.
Unlike most girls her age, Lux isn't overly emotional or rather she typically doesn't give her feelings much thought. There are two exceptions to the rule and that is when she's been hurt or she's inadvertently hurt someone else. She can be very sensitive to others criticism especially concerning her accent, appearance, or worst of all, her name. On the whole though, she has generally decent self-esteem. She's neither vain or self loathing, just normal. To sum up Lux Eudora Levesque, she's a unique, unusual type of girl who lives by her rules and standards alone, only joining in or following others when + where she sees fit.

"To be certain. She isn't the only one who likes you, either." Lux hinted casually, pleased that Helia sensed the same calm, kindness as she did in their new friend. Yet still, his reserved manner made her feel strange and a bit silly. She could not control her words in his presence; for every word he did not say, she said two. Trying her best to battle her shyness and her pleasant assumptions about Gavin, Lux had become overly talkative. Of course, it could also be due to a sudden sweet sugar high, from the lemonade and chocolate. Setting her half of the delicious tangy nectar aside, the girl then cutely half smiled toward the boy trying to be mindful enough to measure her words. "I always want it most during the Summers." She said briefly, nodding lightly in acknowledgement of Gavin's compliment on her tastes. For some people, like her father, they were far too whimsical or much too luxurious. However, Luxie, was the only Levesque darling, and thus an extremely spoiled one. A girl given nearly everything her heart desired or her eyes looked upon, but that wasn't to say she was a greedy or demanding person. It was simply that her parents, particularly her mother, doted on her endlessly. They were always lavishing her with affection or gifts simply because she was their only child. Also, though Lux had not yet realized, to make up for the absence of her father. Morgan's job kept him consistently moving around the world, they never knew where he would be next or how long he would be there. His appearances in Vauxhall were few and far between, but that didn't seem odd at all to the girl because things had been that way for as long as she could remember. Her father dearest was mainly just a voice on the telephone. They, her mother and she, had been very fortunate just to catch him in Paris this summer, while paying Lux's grandparents a visit.
"There are some people who do not count divination as being apart of proper magic." Lux remarked, recalling a group of classmates she passed in the hallway recently who were making fun of her favorite professor, Sybill Trelawny. Sure a few of her methods were laughable, and it was true that the older woman could be outlandish, but that just made her teaching more intriguing. At least to Lux. She had never felt on the verge of falling asleep, the way she sometimes did in other classes, like Arthimancy. Divination, however was a tricky subject to excel in and sometimes unfair in the fact that one either had the required inborn ability or they didn't. If they did not possess the skill, then they weren't very likely to take the course seriously. For Luxie it came easy, being something she'd been unnaturally apt at since early childhood. Other's secrets and personalities jumped out at her from the moment they said hello. This meant people could rarely lie to her, hide the things they'd done or even at times, hide the things they thought. These miserable side affects often brought Lux a good deal of heartache, but in the end those heartaches were worth it. Besides, if she were careful and paid close attention, she could even stop a few of them from happening. Noticing the tension in Gavin's voice and the unrelated monotone he took when speaking of his father, Lux made a note not to bring the subject up with the boy again. It was obvious he did not care for the man, and though she was curious, she knew better than to pry about their relationship -- or rather lack of one. As Gav continued on to mention his sister, Lux smiled at his unashamed love and the clear tenderness he fought boyishly to restrain. "Sounds like you love her bunches." She spoke up kindly, playfully nudging the foot of his plain converse with her own. "I would like to meet her." Lux added sincerely, her half-crooked smile growing optimistically at the idea of meeting the Slytherin's twin. Most of the young lady's friends were completely opposite of her and while their friendships were wonderful, she still dreamed of that one special person who could understand her completely. The person she would stay up laughing with all night or just sit in utter silence, completely comfortable and probably thinking the same thing.
Finally remembering to let go of Gavin's hand, Lux blushed brightly, the apples of her high cheekbones glowing the same peachy pink shade as her hair. "Merci." She laughed as he complimented her again, this time on her reading. What would he have said if she told him everything she'd seen within his palm? Would he still be amazed or irritated with her for prying so far into his life? "What's wrong with talking like a muggle?" Lux teased, not wanting to ruin things now that they were just getting to know each other. Luckily, he didn't know a thing about her blood status or house, which also explained his passive nature toward her. If Gavin asked her, she would not lie about it, but until then she saw no reason to offer over the information freely. What good would it be, if it only served the end their new friendship before they'd really had the chance to take off? Turning over the thought, the girl reached down, lightly scratching a itch on one perpetually bruised purple knee. Her clumsiness coupled with the plight of the wicked Hombybombies showed her little mercy. The fair porcelain of her skin and perfection, was marred slightly by her innocent teenage carelessness. Feeling the air shift around them, Lux stopped messing with her knee and glanced up at the sky, perplexed as a tiny rain drop kissed her bare collar bone. Surely, it couldn't be getting ready to pour so soon. Ignoring the incident the girl glanced over to her pet once more, then to her companion, to see if they had noticed any unusual change in the weather.
