Her eyes kept darting between Carter and her sister, utterly confused, then she looked at Timmy and could see the hurt in his eyes, and what about Chris? What had happened there. She shook her head and tried to clear her thoughts. How had she woken up at this very moment? How bizarre. This was all too weird. She actually thought that Kait and Carter disliked each other because of the whole thing at her party, she didn’t know. What the hell? Was all she could think of. She looked over at Carter once again and then at her sister for an explanation. Can someone tell me what is going on? she asked. I mean......yeah...just....what? she said trying to think of anything better to say. I wake up and your making out with one of my friends she looked at Kaitlyn. What about Chris? she asked her confused. She really shouldn’t be thinking this much right now, and moving was proving difficult but she couldn’t get comfortable. This was so messed up, she was sure that all of them in the room could figure that out, you could cut the tension with a knife even, she didn’t know anything to say to make it better for Timmy, she felt so bad for him. What could she say to make it better for him right now? She knew that he had feelings for Carter, she had worked it out, and Carter had said something about liking Timmy a while ago.
Could someone get me a drink? she asked My mouth is dry She was really struggling with things to say. She just couldn’t believe what she just saw. She couldn’t get it out of her head either. Um....Kait about what I said before....about Chris and everything, I’m sorry she said. I just.... she shrugged. She had no idea why she had hated Chris so much, other than the fact that he splashed his money around so much. I just said what I felt and that was probably not the best thing to do, especially when driving she sighed. She still couldn’t make sense of it all. She wanted to get up and go to hug Timmy, she could only imagine how he was feeling right now, if it had been her in their situation she would have been so upset, of course it would be different, Kait was her sister and that would have been so much worse, but still, she just felt so bad for him. His look had said it all, she saw him not meet Carters eye, and then he did, just for a while and then he went back down to looking at the floor. This was so out of character for her sister though, she couldn’t understand it. Though she still wasn’t particularly fond of Chris, she knew that he didn’t deserve to be cheated on, no one did. For some reason though she couldn’t be bothered to lecture the two much, and plus she couldn’t exactly ask ‘why’ to Carter and mention Timmy with both Kait and Timmy in the room.
She looked at him again and gave him a look wanting an explanation, then she looked at Timmy, hopefully he would get the message, it hurt for her to be moving right now but she was just so confused, plus Kait had stolen her thunder, because everyone was focused on what she had just done with Carter. All they needed now was for Chris to come in and that would have made it even worse. How crazy was this all? And why did drama always happen to her and her friends?

When Tim told Kaitlyn about the book Carter just sighed running his hand through his hair before massaging the back of his neck as some sort of stress relief tactic, but it just was not working as he could see things were tense the second that he walked through the door, but wasn't that what the plan had been from the start? Why hadn't it been Chris walking through the door and not Tim, that would have made things so much easier, and although he would have probably punched Carter at least he wouldn't have to look into the devestated eyes of Tim. Those eyes, the windows into his soul, were showing nothing but hatred and remorse it seemed, and for that Carter felt absolutely terrible. He sighed as he scratched the back of his neck now before letting his hands drop back to his sides as his fingertips beat against his hips in a rhythm that only he knew about since he could feel it and it didn't make a sound.
You would have thought that Kayla waking up would have been a good distraction, but as he stepped out of the way for Kait to go over he was left only seeing Tim out of the corner of his eye. He heard her ask what was going on, that voice faint and a definitely strained, and he just looked at Kaitlyn wondering what she would actually tell her. Hearing her say Chris's name caused Carter to shift his weight from one foot to the other as he started to look out the window behind him not wanting to hear an answer. He had known the reason why Kait had did what she did, but had it really been one that she should be telling her twin who had just woken up from a coma? It didn't seem the time or the place to tell her the master plan, so before Kaitlyn had a chance to really get too far into the story Carter stepped back near the bed. "I needed an easy credit so I took one of the theater courses, anything but easy let me tell you that much, but one of our scenes we're studying is the balcony kiss on Romeo and Juliet." He glanced over at Tim for a second hoping he wouldn't blurt out the truth, Kayla did not need to know it right now, but since Carter was talking about this course he was going to have to actually put it on his schedule unless the truth came out before school started back up after the holidays. "I came in here and we started talking about it, and she said she'd help me get over the stage fright." He thought it was a good enough lie for the timebeing, and he hoped the others thought that as well.
Hearing her ask for a drink he nodded as he stepped around Tim accidentally brushing his shoulder before freaking out some, "I will be right back, i'll go get something cold," he knew that Kait was not going to want to leave her side, and right now he just could not stand in there with Tim like that without feeling terrible. He walked over to the nurses station to let them know that she had woken up, it seemed like the thing to do, and as he watched some doctors head in that direction he just sighed as he leaned against the counter at the station for a minute just weighing all his options at the moment. He could just leave and forget about the drink, it's not like they wouldn't give her one anyway, but he said he would so he leaned over and got the attention of a nurse. "Kayla's in there asking for some water, I was thinking something cold could do that throat of hers a favor," the nurse agreed and went to pour him some cold water, and when she came back with the glass he just grinned and thanked her as he walked back towards the room. He got in there and saw that there had been the doctor checking her out as the nurses stood around, so he handed one of the attendee's the glass and peered around to Kayla. "You're probably going to be kept busy for a little while so i'll give you guys some time," he was talking about her and her sister. "I'll probably come back when you're settled again, i'm glad you're awake." He had no idea how to end it as he just sighed stepping towards the door, "See you later guys," he said the goodbye the easiest he could as he turned around and paced out the room, he needed to get away from there as soon as possible.

Not quite sure what to do with Tim's silence, Kait turned away from him, feeling a blush creep across her face. This was definitely the most awkward thing that had ever happened to her. She had, for whatever stupid reason, talked Carter into kissing her. And then Tim had seen them and Kayla had woken up almost simultaneously, and Kait didn't know what to do because she could feel her sister judging her and Tim just seemed terribly upset, and so many things were happening at once that she just wanted to bury her head in her blankets and hide until it all went away again. Perhaps the worst part was that now, more than anything, she wanted Chris. For a moment, she pictured him as she'd last seen him: sitting beside her, a look of concern on his face. Before she'd hurt him. Back when he could have wrapped her in his arms and just comforted her despite all the problems she'd caused. In this room, nobody could do that for her. Tim was probably pissed, hugging Carter wasn't the best idea, and Kayla.. well, she was too weak. And, judging from her tone, more than a bit angry.
Kait's eyes dashed from Carter to Kayla and back again, wondering what to say. She couldn't tell her sister the real reason; especially not with Tim right there. She opened her mouth to speak, but no sound came out. She was too exhausted to think up a good enough lie. Fortunately, Carter came up with some lame-ass story, and Kait simply nodded mutely. "Er, yeah. And I - I didn't think it would be a problem, because Chris and I..." she paused, swallowing. There was no way Kayla would buy this. "uh, broke up." Tears formed in her eyes, and her voice cracked slightly. Feeling overwhelmed, she looked down at her hands, sniffing quietly. She knew it was pointless to cry out of pity for herself, but she couldn't help it - this was all just too much.
As Carter left, Kait looked back up at her sister. Oh, of course she would apologize for the things she'd said about Chris now. As if Kait could really be mad, though, when she'd been so close to losing her twin altogether. "You think?" she smiled slightly when Kayla mentioned talking about Chris hadn't been the best thing to do while driving. It had only almost gotten them killed, no big deal. Once Carter had come back with the water, and he and Tim had left, she stood. One of the hospital personnel surrounding her sister quickly grabbed a chair, allowing Kait to take a seat next to her. Feeling silly, she wiped at her eyes, peering down at Kayla's face. "I missed you," she whispered. Then, looking her in the eye and trying to keep from sobbing yet again, she added, "I love you." She put Chris and Carter and Tim out of her head. She would deal with it later, somehow; right now was about Kayla. For the first time in a while, Kait began to feel happy. Her sister was awake. She was a alive. She seemed to be able to remember things, and she could talk, and she was still herself. A genuine smile lit up Kait's face, and she leaned over, gently hugging her other half.
ooc And Tim's reply will be up shortly ;-D

When Kayla asked Kait and Carter to explain themselves, Tim looked back up, raising an eyebrow. Oh, please do, he thought, bracing himself. There was a pause as they collected their thoughts, and he watched Kayla, lips still drawn in a tight line. As Carter spoke, it was all he could do to keep from blurting out a cheeky 'yeah, right.' Of course, he did roll his eyes. Lame excuse of the year. Tim was more than certain this whole thing had been some sort of attempt to hurt Chris. He still couldn't look at either his friend or Kait, though. When Kayla asked for a drink, he was ready to turn and leave the room as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, Carter reacted more quickly. Seeing him move, Tim remained still, pointedly not looking at him. At least, until he felt the other brush his shoulder. Almost automatically, he stepped away, still averting his eyes, only glancing over his shoulder once he was sure the man was gone.
As Kayla apologized about how she'd treated Chris, Tim moved further into the room, not wanting to be in Carter's way when he returned with the water. If he returned, instead of high-tailing it out of there. Catching Kayla's eye, Tim managed a broken smile. She knew; he was sure of it now. She'd always been suspiciously interested in whether or not he liked anyone, and after his failed attempt at trying to play it cool, she'd definitely put two and two together. Trying not to seem too relieved, he stepped over to her. "I'm... um, well, welcome back." He grinned at the obviousness of his words, though it quickly faded. "I have to, you know, go. I just dropped by for a minute. But I'm glad you're okay." He nodded, glad he'd been able to piece that sentence together. He leaned over to hug her, careful not to harm her. He didn't want another coma on his hands, or anything.
Holding her for, perhaps, a bit longer than necessary, Tim tried to keep it together. Everything was still sinking in, and while he was incredibly happy to see Kayla awake, he was also trying to deal with what he'd seen. When, finally, he released her, he gave her yet another smile. "Thank-you," he muttered. He heard Carter come back in, but didn't acknowledge him. Once he was sure he wouldn't run into the man in the hallway, he turned, heading for the door. "I'll come visit soon," he waved at Kayla, nodding to Kait. It was more out of habit than any inclination to be nice toward her. After all, she'd played an unknowing part in tearing his world apart (he had a right to be dramatic).
ooc aaaand exit Timothy.

She looked from Kait to Carter and shook her head at the lame excuse You could at least come up with a better lie than that, I have to admit, I do feel a little insulted she said come on, do you really expect me to believe that? she rolled her eyes, which she managed, even though she was still feeling weak. She was disappointed that they couldn’t just tell the truth. Was it really that bad to tell the truth? NO! It was better than lying. She frowned again, looking over at Tim, Kait and then Carter then shook her head. Whatever she said saying aloud what she was thinking. They couldn’t even be bothered to tell her the truth! That was just lame! She didn’t know why he couldn’t just admit it, that would have been better in the long run, things had gotten out of hand, emotions running high, they kissed, not that much of a big deal. Okay well Timmy was there and seen it, that was bad but not as bad as their lame excuse. Kayla didn’t know it had been to make Chris jealous though, and if she had she would have agreed it was unfair.
You broke up? she asked her You and Chris? she looked at her and narrowed her eyes. What did he do to you? she demanded to know. Why? she frowned. If Kait didn’t tell her the truth she was going to find the boy herself and start asking questions to him. did he break up with you? she asked? If she got her hands on him, when she was feeling better obviously, he would be sorry. She was annoyed now. Speaking about Chris did usually put her in a pretty bad mood after all. She just did not like him and didn’t even have that good of an excuse. TELL me what he did Kaitlyn she said getting annoyed. Her sister would be able to tell with her tone. She calmed down a little, realising she still shouldn’t have said all the stuff she said about Chris. She may think he was an annoying jerk but it wasn’t worth arguing about anymore. She let a tear fall down her face when Kait answered ‘you think?’ All she could do was smile slightly and let out a slight laugh/wimper. She was just so glad to have her sister back. When Tim came over to hug her, she wrapped her arms around him best she could, still feeling sore of course. Thanks she said to his greeting, welcoming her back. Um okay...yeah she said knowing the real reason he was leaving. She nodded and smiled once again before he left. When Carter came back in she smiled slightly but did her best to snatch the water, which wasn’t really much of a snatch. She nodded at Carter. Yes I think that would be best she told him sternly and giving him a look, she wasn’t going to make it any more obvious than that, she was too tired and weak.
I missed you too Kait she smiled Even though I was unconsious she told her. I-I’m sorry....again she really felt like she had to keep apologising, it had been her own fault after all. Lets just try and put it behind us the best we can hmm? she said smiling at her and pulled her into a hug. I love you too Kaitlyn she said, sniffling and trying her best to hold her tears in. She never usually said she loved her sister, so when she did Kaitlyn knew she meant it.
