A black bibbed shirt, half leggings and breechcloth all trimmed in colorful metallic and glass seed beads was what Unegawaya would be wearing when he married Chepi. Chepi, the love of his life, whom he fell with when he first saw in a neighboring tribe. She was a slave at the time and as soon as Une found that out, he became determined to buy her from her master and then set her free. Little did he know at the time though that Chepi would become his. He didn't know until the night he set her free when they were sitting on a log by the forest and he called his mother, the white wolf that saved him from the certain death when he was a baby and raised him until the age of ten when he joined his tribe. She came when he called her and found Chepi, whom she quickly accepted. That was when Une knew he could ask her and when he did, she quickly said yes. It was perfect, and a night he would never forget.
He mused on that night as he prepared for the days events.
The first thing he had to do was get dressed of course. After he had his leather boots on and his dark attire on, he moved to his hair. It took a while to comb through his long brown hair and once he was done, he braided it in a single braid down his back. Finally, he was prepared and so his father, the chief of the tribe came in to his tipi, and wrapped the blue blanket that he would have on until the end when both he and Chepi would be wrapped under the white blanket over his shoulders. After that, his father placed a hand on his head and said a traditional blessing before he silently turned and walked out, leaving Unegawaya to his self.
Une walked to the door of the tipi and looked around, not too far away, he could hear the noise of their tribe waiting to see the two marry. He sighed quietly to himself, it wasn't that he was nervous, in fact, he wasn't nervous at all, he was excited. He had waited so long for this day, it seemed to him like it would never come. Before he left his tipi though, he walked back over to his bed and picked up the wedding band he made for Chepi. It was silver and had blue wolves running around it. It was perfect for them he thought. Not only did the band its self symbolize their marriage, but the wolves symbolized his past and where he came from. He couldn't think of anything better to give her. He picked it up and ran his finger along the wolves, whispering something under his breathe, before he slipped into the tiny pocket on his leggings.
After he had everything he needed, he took a deep breathe and walked out of the tipi. With a small smile, he made his way to where he would meet Chepi. Once there, he took another deep breathe and turned to wait as patiently as he could for her. It seemed like forever before he finally saw her, Chepi. As soon his did, he smiled and took in her gorgeous form. His eyes never left her once he saw her, and he knew that it wasn't going to be long now until she was his wife. His gorgeous wife.
