She has light brown, naturally slightly curly, thats falls to about a quarter of her back. She has a somewhat pale complextion, and has rosy cheeks. Her eyes are a brown color, that have a green tint if you look close enough. Her figure is more skinny then curvy, but that doen't mean she is at a total lose of curves.
Her face is a round shape, but that doesn't mean he is any less pretty, and she has what some people might call odd angled eyebrows and what Sarah might call a waxing job gone wrong.
personality:Sarah is that girl next door, the one who is always hovering about in the background but doesn't really matter or i doing anyone harm, so just...stays there. She's lived at Jacksonville her whole life but doesn't have any close friends. Mostly just friendly acquaintances.
Most people have started to avoid her after the rumor that spread out about her in her sophomore year. The rumor being she sold herself for money, as in she was a prostitute. Now this wasn't true in the least bit for she was still just a virgin, but that fact and the idea that Sarah-the-girl-that-never-breaks-rules would do something like that was absurd didn't stop the rumor from spreading like wild fire.
After that boys from her school would come and grope her, as well as say inappropriate things, not good for poor Sarah's innocent ears. She repeatedly reported these attacks, as they were to Sarah, but the principle couldn't find any proof. One day, she got dragged into a cleaning closet at school, and was so very close to getting raped. Luckily for her one of the female janitors came in and the other boy stopped, knowing he couldn’t go any further with a member of the school faculty right in front of them.
The janitor escorted her, and the boy, to the principle's office. But the boy made up a false tale: that Sarah had agreed to it, and even though the principle was aware that that information was false he chose to believe it, just because the boy was one of the star football players.
She ran home crying, and begged her dad to home school her. Her father, a peaceful man, didn't go to the school to try to beat up the boy who hurt his daughter like most dads would, but instead he took his time repairing his broken daughter instead of breaking the boy who hurt her. So she home schooled by her caring yet kooky father the rest of her sophomore and then junior year. At the time, she pretty much only did things with the family since so quickly the somewhat friends she had turned on her the moment they heard the rumor. Well, not all of them, but the majority. She loves her family: her young brother, only 10 but autistic, and her eccentric but loving father, and is very protective over them.
Her mom died when she was twelve, something that killed her inside, as well as the rest of her family. Her mom had been the stabilizer, the one to keep everyone's heads screwed on just right, the one to tuck you in at night and give you a kiss on your forehead. She was that mom. But she is gone, and Sarah misses her to death.
Anyways, back to the story: Sarah returned back her senior year and no one really knows why, not even her father and brother. When she returned to school most people just stayed away from her, since the most of them had known or at least been filled in by the little rumor. But there were some that came to her rescue, and befriended her, even if it was a small amount.
Basically: Sarah is kind, artistic (loves to draw), generous, kind of shy but not very much so, sarcastic, has an odd fashion sense, is kind of girly but not over the top so, and has a secret crush on the new boy. But shhh, it's a secret.

Kate needed to read, her small stack of books had been calling to her from their resting place on the little book shelf nailed onto his wall. Her, her wall, she corrected herself. If she was planning on staying here, she would have to get used to this little “home” being her’s too. It’s not as if she minded though. She loved being on her own, or on her own with Derek. Away from Salem, away from her old life. Staying in one town for your whole life can really get to you, drive you insane. You get this feeling of claustrophobia, this doomed feeling that you are trapped in one place and never to leave it. Which she guessed was true, she was, in a way, trapped in her city of Salem and she never figured she would pluck up the courage to leave.
Now, naturally Kat was actually quite a courageous girl, and she has only proved that statement wrong twice. One, was when it came to leaving her hometown, Salem, Massachusetts. And two was when she didn’t report her abusive boyfriend, but she had her reasons for not doing that. In fact, she had her reasons for not doing both of those things. She didn’t want to leave her town because that’s were her life was, never had she lived somewhere else and it’s not as if she actually knew anyone that wasn’t in Salem, not including Nathan and Derek, who mind you both had lived there first.
She didn’t know what would happen if she detached herself from where she had grown up, where she had her first kiss, where she learned to ride a bike without training wheels. It’s where she had her first everything and expected where she would have her last everything. But then Derek’s parents decided to travel to Jacksonville to see him graduate, and they brought Kat along. The only difference was, though, that they left a little while afterwards and Kat? She didn’t.
To tell you the truth, she loved it here. Sure, she missed her old friends and, of course, she missed her family like crazy but it was nice to get away. To be her own person for once, to stand alone, even if Derek was there for her, she felt like she now belonged to herself and only herself. She is acutely aware that her thoughts on it probably didn’t make much sense, but they did to her and in reality, that was all that mattered.
As Kat sat outside in the little park, she stared intently at the fluffy clouds above, moving somewhat quickly to her right. Being wisped away by the slightly cool breeze. It’s pretty chilly for summer, Kat couldn’t help but think to herself as another sheet of not-so-warm wind brushed her face, causing her hair to lift slightly and move about in all different directions. Disturbed by the distraction, Kat brought a hand to her wavy hair and smoothed out the mangles that had been born from the unrelenting breezes.
She brought her attention back to the sole reason she had come to the park in the first place: her book. Derek was out of the house and silence, paired with the feeling of being cooped up in the same apartment for awfully too long, didn’t make for a very relaxing read. The park was the exact opposite though, it was open and wasn’t full of bustle and loud noises but had enough soft, natural sounds to keep Kate satisfied. She had picked her third favorite book: Oliver Twist, out of the diminutive pile she had brought with her to Jacksonville, when she was only planning on staying for about a week.
She read into it, maybe a paragraph or two before she was interrupted by the feeling of a presence sitting beside her on the bench. Curiosity getting the bet of her she stole a glance at the person, and surprise overtook her.
“Nathan?” She exclaimed, “What the hell are you doing here?” Just seconds after shouting that out, she realized that this was his home too. She hadn’t really thought about him living here, in the same city with her, though she knew he was here, when she decided to live here. She didn’t really think about it because she didn’t want to, she hated the fact she would have to put up with him and his nonsense just like she had to back in high school.
Then something flickered in her mind: the memory of a doctor telling her he had been the one to find her and if he hadn’t discovered her at that time then she would have died. A pulsating feeling of guilt made it’s self a home in the back of her mind. She should be a little more grateful to the boy, but she just couldn’t.
He was too intolerable to be around, it’s like every time she was with him he found a way to bring out the worst in her. And Kat hated it. She hated him.
