The common room had an eerie green glow about it tonight. The Slytherin girl leaned back against her hard-backed chair, tilting it up, surveying the room. The Slytherins didn't need lights, they had the lake. They rarely needed lights.

Unusual quiet filled the room. There were two options, A, the Slytherins were pulling a prank today, or B, everyone had gone to bed early. Personally, for Adele, she would be in bed if it wasn't for homework. Her head pounded like nails in to a board. Usually, drinking water would help, but Adele didn't even feel like moving out of her chair. She could fall asleep right where she was, her black hair staining from her red ink. . .

Adele looked down at her paper which had a title and a few sentences written. Today, she had chosen to use a thin, spindly font, like spiderwebs, to write with. The ink color set off a nice effect, mysterious and slightly bloody. Adele loved effects of font and ink, like dark green ink usually went with capitol printing, with roundish As, and so forth.

Adele started scratching the parchment again. The only reason she did it was for house points, and to bring the Ravenclaws down. Otherwise, she would be fast asleep. Using her wand to project morel light she scribbled in a few more sentences, not even noticing that girl that came towards her. . .
